Awesome ! After watching tons of vids and reading and spending a year with my Creality and Tevo printers I have decided to step up and buy a FT5 from an American company! Folgertech. With all the china printer companies not adhering to the open source GPL of Marlin. This S3D setup will help me immensely as I just recently bought it and need more time learning it. Thanks To the Fuganator again!
Thank you for this vid. Very helpful with setting up S3D with the FT-5. I have always found support very challenging. Your suggested settings worked well for me.
Good video. I have been using S3D for about a year and a half for my other printers. I am in the process of building mt FT-5 now(doing the wiring) I look forward to the bed leveling video.
nice vid! plan on getting s3d soon. I gave in and ordered spools of wire so I can just go ahead and make my own harness's for my ft-5 kit instead of messing with all the stock wiring that are no where long enough.
tools> options> models tab > click "translate x" drop down to rotate z input 180 deg and click add. Also click the process fff > g-code tab > flips build table axis check x uncheck y. 13:30
.83 extrusion multiplier in Simplify3D's process settings with an E3D Titan extruder? I don't think that's right. You must have tripled (approx) the multiplier in the FT-5's firmware.
This is the guide I used: www.3dhubs.com/talk/thread/howto-calibrate-tune-and-fine-tune-your-printer-and-filament Step 4 is how to calibrate your Extursion multiplier.

Really? Honestly I didn't know you can set extrusion multiplier in the firmware. I only thought you could set E steps.
What is the best way to test the extrusion multiplier?

Awesome thanks!
