I absolutely adore you pair. Like a couple of fellas gassing at a pub about footy. Beyond gold. Not one channel is doing what you're doing. YNWA, UP THE REDS. I gotta pay for your 'subscription', ironically 😂😂😂
funny.. i'm watching this post Fulham league cup semi and it was SO NICE watching a game without VAR (to your points about life pre-VAR). Even with the alleged hand ball penalty that didn't get called, it was so much better knowing that the game wasn't going to stop for minutes at a time for constant dissecting and analyzing or that some's pinky was offside. It was definitely reminiscent of better times.
2001 final one of the best moments I’ve had as a red - was right behind that corner of the net when Owen put it in and it was the biggest let off I’ve ever experienced to this day I think.
Well in lads! Robbo, you said the other day you’re struggling to land “away” tickets and Copey seems to, nowadays, be spectating all LfC games from his couch. Given that, would you fine gentlemen consider doing a live ‘watch along’ for an away game or two ..reckon it’d pull some big numbers and, more importantly, would be a cracker.
Gareth is right it’s still a great competition. I’m an auld arse I remember FA Cup Saturday was boss. Football Focus. Full morning and afternoon of interviews and footy. Not forgetting the giant killers of the third round. Too much footy on the telly.
Great video as always . As a 24 year old red the 2006 fa cup final is the first match I remember myself watching. My dad threw my in the air as gerrrard made it 3 all. We watch on a small box tv in the corner of the engligh pub in NYC. The magic of the cup is something you have to want to believe in.
Great show again, lads. Brought back the 1996 pain fully , thanks . Ended up leaving my local ,after being tormented, and driving with the missis to the coast to get bladderd then conked out in the back of the car. Massive hangover and still depressed about it near 30 years later 😂
I’m so made up you said the “half and half scarf on wheels”. Was thinking the exact same thing and out it popped, properly laughed my head off at that. Well played 🙌🏻
1986 FA Cup final probably most satisfying day of this supporter's life. 2001: couldn't believe we won. Liked Robbo's memories of latter: Queen Mary Street in Cardiff is madder than Matthew Street L1.
Classic lads. "Half and half scarf on wheels". I hate half and half scarves, but as someone who would drive a Manu Utd fan to Anfield or even Old Trafford, I am more sanguine about the car scenario. On the pub scenario, I remember going into a pub in Southwark London to watch a Chelsea v Liverpool game, I told myself to keep quiet as I assumed that everyone would be Chelsea. Then we scored and the place erupted. It was full of London based Liverpool fans, and I noticed the walls had Liverpool pics on em. Went back there to watch Chelsea v Barcelona, everyone was supporting the Catalans. Good stuff.
I worked on the LFC mag during those two cup finals. I drove from London with an Arsenal fan who wrote for 442 mag; he was gassed on the way they they expected to beat us as they were a better team. The journey back he didn't say very much.
I love the FA cup still. For me, even when two prem teams match up, FA cup games have a different feeling to them compared to the premier league fixture between the same two sides. Theres something really fun about cup football.
This weekend kind of felt like a level up from an international break. Nothing I was interested in until our game. My main concern before our game was not wanting a replay and hopefully no injuries. Great to win in the end and loved the celebrations I should add!
one thing that did my head in about the21/22 season is people were so focused on the things we didn't win a cup double seemed to slip under the radar and if winning 2 trophies doesn't bring you joy from football it definitely isn't your sport
96 final was the worst time to be a Liverpool fan. Period. My older brother is a Man U fan, he still brings it up now. I think it's the main reason I get so much perverse joy out of their team falling apart. Also, what the hell was Copey's dad thinking with the half and half car haha!
You get a europa league place for winning the FA Cup. Nothing for the League Cup. The reason it seems like you don't is, that as you said a big team usually wins it so a 6th or 7th PL place gets it instead. Great work again lads. Love the show
The Premier League treat fans in the same way that our government treat us - they give a little and take more. The funny thing is if the fans stuck together and the working class stuck together, the power would be in our hands. Great show lads - 74 cup final for me - total football. Worst memory - 71 and Charlie fucking George!!
Non league is boss! I go to Warrington Rylands most weeks. I reckon there should be a seeding system in the FA cup for the big clubs so that the funds can be evenly distributed.
I pay around about 10 quid a month for the premier league package in Thailand and get every single premier league game shown live (all games replayed all week long). I haven't missed a Liverpool match in the last 20 years. still amazes me that fans in England are ripped off so much and don't get access to all games.
The fa cup. I always think of the poor fella who had a camera in the goal behind the keeper ....when rush banged a goal in against Everton and tw*ted his camera with the ball 😄
I still like the FA Cup, loved the win against Arsenal but this new Champions League format is gonna cripple it further, 2 more group games in Jan from next season that almost certainly aren’t gonna be dead rubbers.
I streamed footy for years on dodgy sites, but it's getting harder and harder to find good consistent websites or apps that work without dropping off or stuttering. I lost patience with it. Haven't watched a game in ages as a result. Which sucks. Also, nice one for moving to Crosby Robbo. Lovely little town. Or atleast it was fifteen or so years ago when I was there.
Agree 3rd round has been messed around with and ruined. I love the FA cup but more messing and it won't be worth anything. As for digital poverty, just thought I'd remind everyone there is also TV license poverty, with the BBC (and their henchmen collector agency) still taking people to court like they did with a person with a learning disability whose LA was meant to pay the fee but cocked up on a standing order, but the magistrate still blamed the person with a disability and bound her over - soz to go off on a different topic. After Shearers commentary we should all cancell the licence fee.
i was down the local watching that final remember driving home reversed into the peer at the house went in home and the missus started going off on me for driving [ps she was right] stormed out banged the front door and the glass fell out Rob jones you should have hand balled that would have save me a fortune plus no end of grief
I went to the '84 league cup final against Everton with me the only red in the car with three blue noses, but that isn't that weird to be fair. But that half and half scarf with wheels that is fucking weird ...
The magic of the (FA) Cup has been replaced by the magic of the (European) Cups, now that Europe isnt just 8 teams. And to be fair, Barcelona, Munich, Amsterdam are way sexier than Plymouth.
Expat in Slovakia and I get pretty much all the big games in all comps for €8 per month. Deffo something wrong with you guys having to pay a fortune for multiple platforms.
Nope. It’s magic for teams like Citeh who can field whoever, or teams with nothing else to play for. For anyone trying to avoid injuries and compete with Citeh in PL it’s not magic.

" Half and half scarf on wheels" just made my day 😂

TV companies are clueless, such a good point from the guys. Make it cheaper and easier to buy for all!
I’ve got idea for you guys, before a show starts without any tea. Why not getting yourself a flasks for tea/coffee.
I love FA cup. Way to connect with the wider footie community and really important part of our heritage

I really look forward to listening to these and keeps me company on my long drives! Thanks lads
In Asia we want to watch all the lfc games but you have to pick and choose coz its hard work waking up at 2am and messing up your body clock
Boss show boy's keep it going
I remember smuggling a little radio into school to listen to the 3rd round draw in class. Used to be 12.30pm on a Monday.

Loving the regular uploads lads

Half and half scarf on wheels! 😂😂
Great, as always.
sat watching this in Morocco hahaha

Love you too x
Being over 60 the fa cup still holds that bit of magic but only really if the reds are in it, and we are and we beat arsenal away, and I love it ⚽👍
We gonna do fulham tonight. 3_2..Bradley for trent...ynwa boshhh 💥 💥 💥 NUNEZ ON FIRE TONIGHT 🔥 ♥️
The fa cup.
I always think of the poor fella who had a camera in the goal behind the keeper ....when rush banged a goal in against Everton and tw*ted his camera with the ball 😄
nice one lads
I still like the FA Cup, loved the win against Arsenal but this new Champions League format is gonna cripple it further, 2 more group games in Jan from next season that almost certainly aren’t gonna be dead rubbers.
I gave up on the FA cup when the quarter finals were Friday night, Saturday,Sunday & Monday night. They have destroyed its magic.
In it to win it up the Reds
I streamed footy for years on dodgy sites, but it's getting harder and harder to find good consistent websites or apps that work without dropping off or stuttering. I lost patience with it. Haven't watched a game in ages as a result. Which sucks.

My wife asks me to turn off footy on radio. Thankfully I have earphones now.
Funny talking bout no var..fucking hell ref..funny..😅😅 great show lads 😊
Ive a idea make all premier league teams from 3rd round have too play away too below prem teams..for league and fa cups..
Agree 3rd round has been messed around with and ruined. I love the FA cup but more messing and it won't be worth anything. when Sky first came out it was cheep as chips and you got everything with if
i was down the local watching that final remember driving home reversed into the peer at the house went in home and the missus started going off on me for driving [ps she was right] stormed out banged the front door and the glass fell out Rob jones you should have hand balled that would have save me a fortune plus no end of grief
Madness paying £100 a month for sky etc. If it was everything for £20 I'd happily pay it
And bring in golden goal instead of extra time or penalties...like world cup few years back....
I went to the '84 league cup final against Everton with me the only red in the car with three blue noses, but that isn't that weird to be fair. But that half and half scarf with wheels that is fucking weird ...
Cost of living with mortgages, food and bills etc have gone through the roof, no wonder some people have binned off the SKY services.
1-0 down, 2-1 up/Michael Owen won The Cup/When a first class Paddy pass gave the lad the ball/Poor old Arsenal won fuck all 😂
The draw at 12.30 on a Monday on Radio 2.......
The magic of the (FA) Cup has been replaced by the magic of the (European) Cups, now that Europe isnt just 8 teams. And to be fair, Barcelona, Munich, Amsterdam are way sexier than Plymouth.
7 million watched Liverpool arse
That half and half car Copey, you must have got dog's abuse from everyone, they must have thought you were bluenoses on a wind-up, good story tho.
Expat in Slovakia and I get pretty much all the big games in all comps for €8 per month. Deffo something wrong with you guys having to pay a fortune for multiple platforms.
Haha yes lad, there’s a few of us doing marine on Saturday. Never liked that Stafford rangers, fuck Alton towers!
28:46 yeah Copey but then who actually always ends up winning it anyway? One of the top 6
29:53 thanks Robbo 😂
RUclips premium is 11 a month btw
Nope. It’s magic for teams like Citeh who can field whoever, or teams with nothing else to play for. For anyone trying to avoid injuries and compete with Citeh in PL it’s not magic.
Snow is shit.ha up the reds..❤❤❤
It shouldnt be spread out over 4 days
Unsubscribed....that car story with the manc is totally unacceptable Copey 😒🤣
Big up ❤
