I think ALL Governments should have such target where the bottom 10% are given support for shelter as well as minimum survival income, then the world would be much fairer no matter what ideology you may want to follow!
Dr. Kuhn seems to be asking "why did this process take so long?", but I'm thinking it's astounding that it was seriously discussed, much less that it happened at all! If they had made the deadline 2050 instead of 2020 people would still have thought it was ambitious! Many places are not trying at all, many places are going in the other direction with some vigor. Opposed to this process with vast arsenals.... It's not too late for WWIII! I wonder why people in China aren't dancing in the streets!
I was born in Beijing but immigrated to the US with my mother since 13. I always had my doubts about the Chinese government. I’ve seen it more negative than positive compared to the US, until now. 30 years later, I have seen what the Chinese government has changed and done for its people, especially in the past ten years. Now at 40+, I can say for the first time I think the Chinese government is doing better for its people than the US. The Chinese government is a better government, principled in the thousands years old ancient Chinese wisdoms of equality and peace, working towards a United world of one human race. It’s what I would prefer. Also I think it matters that the Chinese government is made of engineers.
What a amazing Milestone....China has shown the world how to reform people’s lives and bring them out of poverty to enjoy better way of life....glad to hear they protected people’s cultural heritage but why did they destroys.l the mosques of the Muslim communities and force them to forget their heritage.....
What are you talking about? Large parts of the world are OPPOSED to this process. The very idea! America will fight to the death against it, just as an example. We LOVE poverty! We call it "incentive". I don't enjoy it personally, but that doesn't MATTER. We are far more likely to suppress this news or deny it than to learn from it or even be inspired by it.
