Good explanation. Exactly what I was looking for. Previously I mixed up a curving transition and back-and-forth transition, bringing the kite to 12, going toeside and then hopefully redirecting the kite, but often just sinking. This is because of low pull at 12 and going downwind. I will now practice towside at a higher speed and kite at 2 o'clock. Then as a step 2, I will redirect the kite assertively while simultaneously curving on my hillside to keep the lines tense. All makes sense now! And yes, this requires determination and has to be done moving fast.

Hi Dimitri, can you do a video on how to control your rotation in the air? Like rotation speed control and spotting your landing and stopping your rotation before landing?
Hello Jin Kim. I will add this to the big list I have from kiters requests. But again Martial arts will help control your rotation and speed plus spotting your landing.
In some of your videos it looks like you just throw yourself in the air rotating and figure out the number of rotations and landing stance as you come down. Where everybody else goes up with planned rotation. With Screamer taking me up to unknown heights (sometimes to heights not planned) and floaty landing I can't plan. So was looking for tips.

There are thousands of videos on how to kiteboard and do tricks, but something I haven't found at all is how to use the stopper ball. You have a video somewhere explaining what a good stopper ball is, but I'd like you to talk about how to use it especially for jumps. I hope to see you in Isla Blanca some day!

Thanks for another video. I have been trying toe-side but always find the harness wants to rotate around my waist when I go toe-side. Should I let it rotate, i.e. leave the harness lose enough to be able to rotate? Thanks
Hello Blue Guy. You can always do a GOOGLE search on used kite gear and see. But again a lot of used kites might not be in good shape because the life expectancy of a kite is around 7 to 8 months for some one who kites a lot. But if some one kites only on the weekends then the life expectancy of a kite is around 2 years. Also you definitely need to get lessons. I have seen so many people trying to kite with out lessons and hurting themselves and others and having the beach closed because of that. So make sure you get lessons. Another great video! My terrible toe side riding is only matched by my poor timing in bringing my kite around during the transition.
