  • This video is about the new DIMITRI PRO V2 bar from EpicKites.com.
    No detail has been overlooked in the development of the new DIMITRI PRO BAR V2 which comes only in one size (50cm long). It’s packed with features, light weight, comfortable on the hands and sports a new safety release and chicken loop design.
    The EVA coated handle has contoured finger grips providing the ultimate in comfort and intuitive control. The bar is color coded to match sailing safety standards (red on the left). And if that’s not intuitive enough, we’ve also used a symbol system to easily provide an indication when the bar is facing the wrong way to the rider. This provides an extra sign to reduce hazardous launches. The bar ends are soft adding an additional safety element. Those that have been hit in the head with their bar will know exactly what we’re talking about. When wrapping the lines around the bad ends, the small bungie cord is stowed into the bar end so that it doesn’t get wrapped in the lines. Once the lines are wrapped around the bar, simply pull the bungie free and lock those lines in. The power lines feed through the bar via a smooth corrosion resistant metal hole. The throw line is coated in a hard plastic to prevent wear on both the lines and your fingers. The safety line is a stretch line, so when the kite power is killed (by pulling the safety release) the kite will not surge. Capping off the bar design are molded in EVA line floats. This solution ensures all bar components have clean lines and refined details. These flexible floats provide great buoyancy while remaining extremely flexible when the bar is wrapped.

    I like the fact that the left part of the bar is RED, not grey, not yellow, not blue..... just RED ! It should be a standard for all brands !

    Thanks for sharing. A lot of thought went into this bar. Looks great. It also appears your running quality tangle free lines similar to the Core sensor pro. They are noticeably easier in set up and tangle free compared to other manufacturers. I may have to give it a go.

      Might be the same manufacturer. I have switch bar, which is pretty good, and the only difference is the color.

    everything is really great but in my opinion there is no possibility to change the size like for example in duotone it is really helpful

      @epickites  Год назад

      Thank you for your comment. You can change the sizes since the lines comes with 20m lines + 3m extensions. So you can use 23m lines and if you need to use shorter lines like (20m) all you have to do is remove the 3m extensions.

      @@epickites yes I know it and when I wrote about the length I meant bars

    • @epickites
      @epickites  Год назад

      Most of the EPIC bars use to have a way to make them shorter or longer but without any mechanism so they won’t break. But I found out that 85% of the kiters would not bother changing the size of the bar and keep them at the average length which is around 50cm wide. Plus a lot of bars that have a mechanism to make them shorter or longer will be breaking after a while. So this is why for the V2 DIMITRI PRO bar I decided to keep it one length and worked on the bigger size kites such as 10/12/14m kites to make them faster so no need to have a bar bigger then 52cm wide. 😉👍

      I guess I have to agree because recently when we were sailing in a very strong wind and a friend was getting on a 5m kite, when asked if she shortened the bars, she replied that she did not know how to do it and I would like to add that she has been sailing for 10 years now😅 and now a different question why you don't sell equipment in Poland after all a lot of people swim here and I always wanted to try screamer🤘🤘🤘

    $300 should be a good price

    • @epickites
      @epickites  Год назад +1

      The new DIMITRI PRO V2 bar cost us close to $300 to make it. So if we want to stay in business and take care of our customers the best way we’ll need to charge more then what it cost us. Correct?

    you dont have stopper on it?

  • @titter3648

    The velcro on the depower is going to fill up with sand and be destroyed over time (just like velcro on the straps of a board, but the depower is even more exposed). Would be much better with a magnet to hold it in stead.

    • @epickites
      @epickites  Год назад

      We did try the magnet and it worked for few weeks and then started to loose it’s grip. Plus it was heavier then the Velcro. Make sure to wash the Velcro in order to keep it clean from sand. Same thing goes with your kite equipment. The more you take care of your equipment the longer it will last.😉👍
