Hi techne, i know you won't probably read this, but i found a few tiny mistakes on your website (at least on mobile) 1. In Top 5 headsets, you put Blackskark v2 pro instead of Blackshark. 2. In keyboards, there is HyperX alloy core on 3rd place, but the link leads to HyperX Origins core, both of those keyboards actually exist, so it could be confusing to some. I know you liked the Origins core, so i'm assuming that's what you wanted to put there. 3. Deathadder V2 pro link leads to Deathadder elite (this may be issue on my side as i often have problems with amazon links for some reason) 4. Arctics 7x link leads to steelseries website (again, most likely is issue on my side) 5. G pro superlight link leads to g502 hero (????? most likely is issue in my side and may be caused because imi in Europe, but i doubt that because some amazon links work fine) 6. None of the top 3 LG monitor links lead to product pages, but to search results of their names, for some reason those monitors aren't even shown in the results (may be issue on my or amazons side) 7. Razer Kiara pro link leads to Arctics pro wireless Otherwise it's a nice user friendly website, i'm also really sorry if some of my concerns are invalid, i know almost nothing about Amazon.
thank you so much for the info, and kind words. As for all the links I checked mobile and pc versions and all direct correctly. And thank you so much for the typo tip, how did I miss these. lol Thank you so much again!!
I totally get what Techne is saying here. For me personally (Living in smaller EU country) tax and shipping would make this pad over 70$, which is way too much and doesnt justify the price when i can buy 2 Xtrfy GP4s as an example, or whatever pad here in stores. Unfortunately im not rich enough to not care about the prices like this
What boardzy has said bout this: If you buy an artisan, it will last you at least 2 years. This means you're paying this price for long term use, compare that to a xtrfy GP4 which you prob have to replace every 6-8 months. In the long run, you will be paying less for the artisan than the xtrfy. But this really depends on the person, whether you want the same consistent pad for the following years or possibly upgrade to newer pads as they come out over the following years.
@@proxtionn I get your point but i would rather buy 2 pads brand new that are decent quality and last me for a year for the price, then buy 1 and hope it lasts me as long as 2 of those that i could swap when worn out... @@gttrmgc3284 I like artisans but the fanboys gotta be delusional. The trend is just a few years old but I bet most of them don't play even remotely competitively like high elo faceit on CS etc. Sure you can play well with any mousepad or even on a raw table and Elige is using the hein FX but you can test yourself the friction, consistency, x/y axis or just watch someone checking the specs and it's a bit subpar. Most of people buying it are hyped by the trend, placebo and general feel and play games like fortnite, apex, OW, and other Valve clone games which clearly aren't as mechanically demanding as games like CS or cartoon Valorant. They want a fast glide, and f**** consistency and precision. Even cheap mousepads like the old goliathus speed or the MM200/300 are a tad faster but have way better control than the hein^^. I used to buy them at a very low price before the hype and only the most controlly ones they had (which were better imo than current ones). Haus released a video about the zero version (which I have) and even before watching I knew what he was going to say about it and I made odds and betted on it. And yup, oh boy was I right, TLDR: " Lacks control yet doesn't have a perfect glide, good quality mats but wear seems inevitable and not for him, overpriced, needs to be -20 bucks lower). I've had a Hein XL for about 1.5 years now, put thousands of hours on it and it doesn't feel or look like it has worn down in anyway. Well worth the money In my opinion. Looking at mine compared to the ones he has, mine do not have the gap stitching issue like his, mine is equal throughout the entire pad. The roughness does make it pick up skin cells and dirt fairly quick but it cleans off very easily with soap and water and the grime doesn't seem to sink into the pad unlike others I have used.
@@Sebas.504 Hayate otsu is wayyy too fast for games like siege, I have a hien soft, zero mid and hayate otsu v2 x-soft xl but even at x-soft it's still too fast for smooth micro adjustments and precise tracking, the zero is the absolute perfect mousepad for games like siege trust me, you might want to get a hien or hayate due to the hype and I agree they are insanely good for literally every other game but IMO the zero is the absolute best mousepad for siege

Tiger ice + zero mid is the absolute perfect balance for me as I wanted slightly more speed over control since I'm already confident enough in my aim. TLDR: If you're a plat/dia+ player I'd recommend getting the *mid* softness. The color on the Hien is really nice but coming from a GSR its probably way to fast. May try a zero eventually. GSR is hard to beat for control though.
Zero soft is god tier if you are looking for a control pad to use with a light mouse. Hayate Otsu is a really good control pad with speed and the Hien is more speed but still has control. I main the zero but Hayate Otsu is def my next fav. Haven't spent a lot much time with the Hien yet. Shidenkai is all speed and I had to lower my sense for better micro movements and needed a little bit more muscle memory. The side stich isn't as bad as he made it in the video, I haven't had a single pad have its stitch break and I put the edge of the pad over the edge of my desk to act as a wrist wrest. I accidentally spilled my drink twice (Arizona green tea unsweetened and I think coffee or water with energy drink mix) on my zero and the edge does come up very slightly on those 2 spots instead of resting on the table. So far it hasn't affected anything like the stickiness of the pad to the desk or its feel/glide, isn't really noticeable unless you look for it, and hasn't left any stains after cleaning it. Overall happy with the Zero and Hayate Otsu purchases, haven't given Hien enough time, and the Shidenkai is interesting, can be effective but not really to my preference.

I'd say it's a niche pad for people that play precision shooters and want a super consistent mouse feel. For me it's that and the fact that I live in a humid environment.
My x-raypad Aqua Control+ is still going strong, still not feeling compelled to shell out money for different mousepads that I probably won't like as much.
Why is $50 considered so much? Yeah it's just a pad and you can get them for $10, but those ones wear out so quick and suck after like a month. You're really telling me an extra $40 that will last way longer and feel better/more consistent is too much? If you don't have a job or you're really low on money sure, get the cheap ones. But if you have any form of extra money and you game a good amount, I feel like you're just ignorant to not get one.

I had the Zero it's ok but not as good as 2020 Hayate Otsu IMO. Also Zero gets dusty very fast and picks up lint like crazy a common complaint needs constant cleaning. Otsu speed is between Hien and Zero (once you break-in the pad meaning after about 2 weeks of use that's the main constant performance forever onwards) so if you want really slow like Logitech G640 then Zero is fine for you
I remember when this video was leaked in September that it was coming out I’ve been waiting ever since!
I lived in Japan and I like tech but I didn’t know till now that Artisan pads are from Japan! Lol
Where in Japan? I lived in Yokosuka.

I have the hayate otsu and hot damn, I hate to say it but I love it way better than my glorious pad. Also, I have it on top of the glorious xxl mouse pad and it does not budge.
@@musicah8496 why do you 'hate to say it'? Glorious mousepads are garbage bro
I play rainbow and valorant heavily at low dpi and I can vouch for the Hien's durability and quality. I was burning thru regular mouse pads like g640s and qcks like nothing. Followed Boardzy's rec on a Hien and it's the most durable mouse pad I've ever used and havent tried a different pad since buying it. It's fantastic.
If you main valorant and siege I'd suggest a zero from artisan. I feel with the increased control and stopping power it makes you more consistent in those games.
@@iJansport yeah i initially tried the zero and liked it but at 400 dpi I like the faster movement you get from the hien
@@gmil47 sounds good, maybe I'll try to lower my dpi to 400 and swap pads for a bit. Always up for something new
@@iJansport hope you dig it!
@@gmil47 Siege is the only competitive FPS that I play and I was considering buying a Zero but then I heard that Hien is more durable than Zero. So I'm thinking of buying a Hien Soft right now but I wonder if it's too fast for Siege. How do you perform with Hien? Is texture too rough for your skin? Also which mouse do you use?
i just got my Hien which was my first artisan pad ever and loved it so much i ordered a zero and a raiden too. i love the pads so much i wanna collect all the FX series pads. i was using an aqua control plus before the Hien which is still an excellent pad but the Hien immediately changed my in game performance and aim once i got adjusted to it, especially my tracking. can't wait to try the zero and raiden.
What's the difference between the fx and non fx?
@Fadel Burnae hello so you mean the fx has stitch edges and the non fx has no stitch edges?
which of those pads has the most stopping power / control for you?
@@coza10 artisan zero
Completely agree! I had the aqua control plus before I got my Hien. The Hien is just a super premium aqua control plus with a little more speed and more stopping power. I just got the Hayata Otsu too! And like you, I feel like buying all the pads, as nothing compares to Artisan and I don't get the same feeling from other pads
I have the hien and shidenkai. The hien at first surprised me because of the rough surface but I got used to it now it's my daily driver. I also got it because It's supposed to be super durable and supposed outlive most other mousepads which makes up for the price in my eyes.
I tried the Hien and Raiden but I recently got myself an Otsu xSoft and it's been amazing. It's like a Hien with slightly more control with a very smooth surface to operate on.
xSoft allows to dig your thumb, pinky in for fine-tuned control as well.
I have hayate otsu soft i planning to buy hien so u r saying hayate otsu is better than hien ?

@@mushiim8 i ordered it. not here yet.
Hi techne, i know you won't probably read this, but i found a few tiny mistakes on your website (at least on mobile)
3. Deathadder V2 pro link leads to Deathadder elite (this may be issue on my side as i often have problems with amazon links for some reason)
4. Arctics 7x link leads to steelseries website (again, most likely is issue on my side)
5. G pro superlight link leads to g502 hero (????? most likely is issue in my side and may be caused because imi in Europe, but i doubt that because some amazon links work fine)
6. None of the top 3 LG monitor links lead to product pages, but to search results of their names, for some reason those monitors aren't even shown in the results (may be issue on my or amazons side)
7. Razer Kiara pro link leads to Arctics pro wireless
Otherwise it's a nice user friendly website, i'm also really sorry if some of my concerns are invalid, i know almost nothing about Amazon.
thank you so much for the info, and kind words. As for all the links I checked mobile and pc versions and all direct correctly. And thank you so much for the typo tip, how did I miss these. lol Thank you so much again!!
5:42 is that the small or medium pad?
I just can’t do the square design I want a 2xl rectangle version like glorious does
i have not tried any mouse pads but my qck and i love it because i don't like playing with high sensitivity and i love the control it gives
Fyi, the Xtrfly performance is so very slightly affected by humidity, but if thats not an issue, go for it
@@proxtionn I get your point but i would rather buy 2 pads brand new that are decent quality and last me for a year for the price, then buy 1 and hope it lasts me as long as 2 of those that i could swap when worn out... For example i used QCK+ for over a year. Some people use them for much longer or much shorter it all depends. Because at the end of the day a pad is a pad.. and it can only last so much before it gets stuck with dirt or loses is properties.
@@AquaCS1 I get your point, everyone has their preferences, i will stick with my artisan. The only thing im curious is HOW TF DID YOUR QCK last over a year?!?!
@@proxtionn because hoyas spreadsheet doesnt tell the whole story :)
Those look actually pretty cool and slick. Thanks for the review about them Techne! Merry Christmas.
I've used a lot of pads they are not overhyped not even a little bit low initial friction insane durability and good size and very consistent glide I would definitely recommend them I have like 3
I had a Hien...it sucked...they are overrated af.
But fanboys gotta fanboy, they've got sharp-tongue, if you know what I mean :==))))
:''(''''===D
lmao
Durgod Taurus K320 or Hyperx Alloy Origins Core?
where to buy them?
I've had a Hein XL for about 1.5 years now, put thousands of hours on it and it doesn't feel or look like it has worn down in anyway. Well worth the money In my opinion. Looking at mine compared to the ones he has, mine do not have the gap stitching issue like his, mine is equal throughout the entire pad. The roughness does make it pick up skin cells and dirt fairly quick but it cleans off very easily with soap and water and the grime doesn't seem to sink into the pad unlike others I have used.
What about HayteOtsu- Xsoft for r6? Would you recommend it more than Hein & Zero.
@@ohhkennny766 dope! Thank you.
Zero-mid? Soft? or X-soft?
@@Sebas.504 I have the zero mid and it feels like the perfect version of QcK.
it's fast but still has a lot of control, I'd recommend not using super glides on a zero otherwise you might as well get just a hien and use corepads since it'd be a better combo for speed + stopping power.
Tiger ice + zero mid is the absolute perfect balance for me as I wanted slightly more speed over control since I'm already confident enough in my aim.
TLDR: If you're a plat/dia+ player I'd recommend getting the *mid* softness.
It's just overall more consistent than soft/x-soft due to the surface being perfectly aligned at all times while still retaining its spongy texture
@@ohhkennny766 I’m a champ, and I’ve always liked and used the razer gigantus v2 (large) however; I’ve bough more than eight of the same pads, because they decay rather quickly. I heard these ones last & feel super smooth so I wanna give them a try. Thanks lad!

The color on the Hien is really nice but coming from a GSR its probably way to fast. May try a zero eventually. GSR is hard to beat for control though.
Just get an XSoft Zero then.
then get a soft or xsoft zero or hayate otsu
Overall happy with the Zero and Hayate Otsu purchases, haven't given Hien enough time, and the Shidenkai is interesting, can be effective but not really to my preference.
finally got my zero soft in the mail last friday. This pad paired with a gpx superlight+corepads is absolutely god-tier. I am blown away how well I performed with it this past weekend. I was expecting it to be good, but not this good.
8 months ago I know but how did you like you hein pad? I’m really thinking about it because I play games that involve a lot of tracking but I don’t know if I will like the rough texture that comes with it. I also have a light mouse. opinions?

Why is $50 considered so much? Yeah it's just a pad and you can get them for $10, but those ones wear out so quick and suck after like a month. You're really telling me an extra $40 that will last way longer and feel better/more consistent is too much? If you don't have a job or you're really low on money sure, get the cheap ones.
