The day Agnieska arrived on the big stage! Great watching the commentators experience the Radwanksa magic for the first time.
Agnieszka eliminated one of the big favorites, Maria Sharapova, but in the next round she was eliminated by the unforgettable Sahar Pe'er of Israel with a resounding score of 6-4 6-1. NOTE: Sharapova was in the same group as Vaidisova, the latter at the top and the Russian at the bottom, It would have been great if the two of them had faced each other, as if to rent a balcony, both were eliminated by the Polish and the Israeli. 🎾

Even at age 18, you could see how incredible Aga’s hand skills were. She was arguably the best volleyer of her generation.

I see all these comments and yes, I agree that Aga should've had a GS title at the end of her career, but at the same time, I'm still impressed because she proved everyone wrong. Analysts and former pros said she would have her place in the top 20, but might never have a top 5 placement, she exceeded so many of the expectations put on her, so her journey impresses me, even without that final title at Wimbledon.
I agree she should be recognized as a top 10 world class All time great one

Why Sharapova have been serving terribly serving during this match? I thought she started to have troubles with her serve after 2008
Sharapova has had shoulder issues since summer of 2005. She constantly changed her motion to take more stress off her shoulder until it finally tore in 2008. However her 04-06 serve was really up there with Serena it’s a shame.

@@AFCompanyit was not up there with Serena’s lol. She used too much effort (unnecessary muscular force) on her serve hence the trouble to her shoulder in the first place. I personally don’t think the technique was ever quite right.
