- Most English translations of the Bible say that God seems to "regret" pouring out His wrath on Mankind, especially towards His own people; even after they have betrayed Him. But is it really just a way of expressing how much He genuinely grieves over the darkness and destruction which sin has wrought on the World? For though He saw it all happening ahead of time, He takes "no pleasure in the death of the wicked." Ezekiel 18:23. How does it effect us today? And would He ever regret giving up His only Son?
