We were lucky to see Ger perform at the Cheese Press in Ennistymon two weeks ago. What a mesmerizing performance by a very sweet man. Afterward, we spoke for a while and exchanged CDs (I'm a songwriter), and Ger's tunes were the soundtrack for the remainder of our trip, driving all over Clare, Kerry, Galway, Connemara. Just perfect songs for the most magical week of my 56 years on Earth.
His music speaks for itself. With a child of my own, I can relate to a parent's love for carefree time with one's kids everytime I listen to this. Totally unpretentious, natural, and great music making and performance. Good man Ger.
I love this song. I remember it when I take my grandchildren out in the countryside. This man is amazing, he helps me slow down the pace of life with this one.
Heard this today in a shop atop the Cliffs of Moher :) What a wonderful experience it has been visiting Ireland. The folks are lovely, the music is lovelier, and the country is incredible. Can't wait to get back!!
I had heard Jim Fiddlers version of this song and I was immediately captivated. The lyrics, melody and arrangement have a way of bringing your mind to whatever outdoors place you feel at peace That’s how it is for me. I search it on google because I wanted to hear the original artists version. No disappointments that’s for sure. I enjoy singing it myself to , Credits Ger Wolfe 💯

Hello from New Hampshire, Ger. I met you at your gig at the Seamus Ennis Center a few years ago. I was with our mutual friend, Áine. It was a lovely evening, and I was touched by "A Single Thread," and especially "The Curra Road." Your lyrics very much remind me of a walk that Áine and I took down to a mountain river, here in the Ossipee Mountains. I hope that someday that you will be able to share your music with Americans, and possibly pay a visit.
