I think McCullough was very brave and his advice was and is excellent. He was one of the first Physicians to come out and give testimony in front of the legislature (TX) and that’s what inspired me to dig in and do more research. Glad I did, never got that stupid vax because I realized how corrupt my own profession had become. He suffered professionally from his stance which went against the mainstream and he didn’t back down. That level of integrity is priceless and worthy of respect.

I even went to his website and asked about the vaccine for my 12 year old grandson because things were beginning to come out about myocarditis in young men. I will always be concerned about long term effects regarding the vaccine because he was vaccinated. I think people trusted ZD as a doctor but his words were just his opinion not back by facts or data.
Mandates were insane. I could not fly to my husband's country without three, they insisted. Then they cancelled the mandate 2 days before one of my flights.
Vinay, much of the Right’s resistance to the Covid vax was not about the approval process. It was the gov’t pushing and mandating the vax and granting liability protection.
For me, it was all about that approval process. What woke me up was when the government and media kept calling them approved for like a whole year when they were still totally unapproved. Such blatant lies.
It should have been, it was never even tested for safety in people who had prior exposure. Normally that is counter-indicated for vaccines. And then there was the deliberate suppression of alternative therapies because the use of the experimental vaccines was only authorised if there were no alternative treatments.
When they announced it was “98% effective”, I couldn’t believe it. Obviously that number is TOO GOOD to be true, esp for a rushed product against a “novel” virus. So I made it my mission to dig into the clinical trial docs & understand how they calculated VE (efficacy). What I discovered was shocking… relative vs absolute risk was just the tip of the iceberg. But even more frightening was looking around at my friends and family, who bought the deceptive efficacy claims without any hesitation, then attacked me when I said giving it to pregnant women would be a disaster.
You need to find a way to have an advisory role with RFK jr. This is as close as you will EVER get to making a national impact in health and medical care. This is it 🎉

I always walk away from your shows with a framework in which I question the medical establishment and now find myself constantly asking administration and physicians- “Why are we doing this “ when it comes to established practices or new ones that were put into place but are not necessarily evidenced based. I am 62 and an “old, experienced” nurse. Maybe even old fashioned. I overlook the cussing because I envision that you are inviting us into your private world- but I will say as someone who serves in a nursing leadership role on my unit- it’s a hard “No” when I hear people using that type of language in the professional setting on the units I’m in charge. I honestly don’t feel it adds anything to providing professional care to our patients or enhancing quality communication with one another. Hooking up with Zdogg is a big mistake.
Even in this video he offers not legitimate argument against his detractors. He seems incapable of being truthful about how awful and poisonous his early positioning was on covid and vaxx.
I don’t agree with Zdogg on much… I’m here for Vinay (even though I don’t agree with him on everything either), but I don’t want to live in an echo chamber… I’m a Bay Area native-Oakland resident- and I’m glad these conversations are happening. We need to see the humanity in each other. Nothing less.

the issue with the FDA's regulations isn't so much that they are both too strict and too lax at the same time, it's that their rules are imposed inconsistently and with obvious favoritism toward the biggest players

This and the last VPZD show has really cheered me up, borderline renewed my faith in humanity and life.
I am coming late to it, because I just couldn't look at anything dealing with anything current (why Yugoslavia never got the bomb was an interesting diversion) on youtube for awhile post-election (my normal diet is quite Ukraine-centric). Even Triggernometry annoyed me. I really don't like Trump (except occasionally as a comedian), but I absolutely detest the handwringing TDS-afflicted laptop-class.
I should have trusted Zubin and Vinay to maintain sanity, not just regain it. But I'm happy I didn't wait longer, I had forgotten how good it feels to know there are intelligent, silly and sane people in the world.
And since I'm writing (and late, so nobody will see this): WTF happened to Harris during the Biden years?
I happened to watch her as a senator in some hearing back in 15 or 16 or something, and I was charmed: just the kind of fun "evil witch" female politician with a flair for banter that my inner 9-yo would cheer for.
Why does the Democratic party destroy female politicians (Pocahontas is another example) with this idiotic identity-queer-be-kind-triangulating crap and make them into wordsallad spewing dolls?
And good gods, how screwed up is American public health from Covid! Sitting here in my moderate Nordic country, it is easy to forget that you guys are still not completely over the madness. Vinay's ideas on getting data on boosters is just the kind of thinking public health in general needs (I'm hoping these kinds of studies are being done over here - though why would pfizer et al be interested as long as they have the American market captured...).
Over here (Nordic but not Sweden), it was the _public health_ people being extremely cautious about restrictions, and ID and IC docs debating them _publicly_. After omikron they managed to kill (much delayed) the vax passport between Christmas and New Years.
(OK, it feels like everything is going to hell here, especially wrt health care, but VP&ZD has reminded me that we still have it pretty good.)
I need more VPZD! SAD is closing in, and getting a psych appt is a joke.
But maybe not every week - don't want it to be routine, audience captured or stuck in a format. But at least once a month...
And I miss ZD's old content. My region is sinking lower and lower into Epic-hell, and having watched his old healthcare 3.0 stuff, helps me understand and untangle why I as a patient get this feeling that something is wrong: unneccessary and disturbing prompts and questionnaires (that staff then prefer to take on paper!), more focus on weird less important things, a feeling that something essential gets missed.

I love listening to both of you. I have followed you both from the very beginning. I appreciate your humor, your balanced insight, your willingness to look at things from all angles and even admit when you were wrong about some things. I always walk away from your shows with a framework in which I question the medical establishment and now find myself constantly asking administration and physicians- “Why are we doing this “ when it comes to established practices or new ones that were put into place but are not necessarily evidenced based. I am 62 and an “old, experienced” nurse. Maybe even old fashioned. I overlook the cussing because I envision that you are inviting us into your private world- but I will say as someone who serves in a nursing leadership role on my unit- it’s a hard “No” when I hear people using that type of language in the professional setting on the units I’m in charge. I honestly don’t feel it adds anything to providing professional care to our patients or enhancing quality communication with one another. But when I sit in your space I recognize it is part of the passion you both feel. I am immensely grateful for your commentary.
