The dude wasn't an idiot. You rent a storage locker and have no one to tell or choose not to tell anyone you have it; the agreement the renter entered into with the storage facility is apparent. You don't pay or make arrangements to pay or clear it out; anything & everything inside is going to be auctioned off. If this renter had a family that would possibly care about his collection, the renter’s wishes obviously were to not tell anyone about it. Or, who knows? Maybe the family knew about it, but since the renter left them 70-100 million in their will, it's beneath them to even step foot on a storage unit facility now. Maybe they even knew exactly what was in there but said “F” because they got their payday already, and if your set for life+, don't give a crap about guitars or their loved one’s obsessive hobby, out of sight, out of mind.
You're absolutely right-it's hard to imagine someone intentionally abandoning such a valuable collection. It's definitely worth considering the backstory behind how these guitars ended up in a storage unit.

Right?! The value in that unit is just unreal. It’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime finds!
What a crazy honey pot of guitars. Fascinated about the back story. But sayin that I have some [unmarried] friends that have accumulated similar levels of guitars - they’re traders/collectors and that’s all they spend their disposable income on. If that’s all you do and you don’t have kids/wife/etc it’s incredible what can be accumulated.
Damn even the KxKs were worth bank. Good score fellas!
Out of all of these, I’d want that Chavel without pickups
How many times does this guy say" "You know what I'm sayin' ???"
He should try slipping in a few "Ya hear me's" and a few "Ya heards?
Good drinking game... know what I'm saying?? 😂
@@GuitarFinds Ya heard?!!! 🤣Ya know what I'm sayin' !!! 😂
Buddy Blaze helped design the Seymour Duncan Full Shred pickup.
Made guitars for Steve Vai and Vivian Campbell back in the day.
Thanks for the info! Just did a deep dive on the internet on him and his guitars after reading your comment. Thank you!
Were half of those guitars even played? They still had paper around the neck. Would like to know more about the person that rented that storage unit. There is definitely a happy and sad story behind this one.
Unfortunately I don't think so. Most were stored away and were unused when we found them.
Buddy Blaze was the builder that designed the Vivian Campbell Kramer Nightswan.
He painted Dimebags dime from hell too
Ohhhh shit, That's where I know that name from... Dime's Dimebolt paint job... Good shit!!! 🤘😎
The crocodile Ibanez case has to be a rg2228 prestige. It’s the specific case for that model!
Good Lord!! Drooling..
Same! We're still pinching ourselves that we stumbled across such a find.
Jesus Christ. What I wouldn't have given to have been the guy that bought that storage unit.
That white 7!!! I've been chasing that thing on reverb for years!
Yup! That was us selling it!
Was it a 7 string with birdseye fretboard?
If I win the lottery, I’m buying storage unit auctions
Haha, that’s a solid plan! You never know what treasures you might find in those storage units-could be the jackpot! 😄
@@GuitarFinds right? I lost a storage unit years ago with tons of great gear. A friend of mine I sold some drum pedals to was supposed to make the payment for me that month for payment of the pedals (I didn’t have the money because of life situations but I’d have had it like the following week or 2 or something) and he forgot because he got high and I lost everything. Guitars, amps, cabs, everything. I considered jail time to be worth it lol
Bunch of great guitars🙀
Beautiful stuff
Thank you! Cheers!
That wood grain, monkey grip ibanez Gem, with the see through pick ups was hot
see through pickups? lol
This is what happens when you have to hide your Real guitar collection from the wife 😂 💀 RIP 🙏
Ain't that the truth 😬😬😬
wow that's almost unbelievable. congrats
So glad none of that stash is my market! So stoked you found that honey hole! Curious to know if the guitars sitting for so long in a non temperature controlled environment damaged any of them?
Yep, fret sprout galore, I'm betting! 😂
Thanks! They were in a temperature controlled unit in SF but after the auction, they were moved to a different location (where I filmed the video).
All those guitars would be mine if I found that unit.
Absolutely! It would be so tempting to keep them all-what a dream collection to stumble upon!
You were absolutely giddy. . .lol😊
As a John Petrucci fan, I really wish you got the JP7. 😢 but this is just a breathtaking experience and very exciting to watch. 🍻
We have the JP7! (It's mint condition and is for sale). Hit us up if interested 🤘🤝
@@GuitarFinds that's great! Thanks for the offer, but I already have a JP15. 😊 Cheers!
Just...DAMN! Nice haul man!
Thanks! 🙌🙌🙌
Can't lie... even though the jp7 isn't all that special, I'm super jealous you found it. It looked absolutely perfect. One of these days I'll own a majesty 7 or a jp7
Yes bro, we know what you're saying.
That Charvel is Beautiful! 🤯
We kept that one! It was too nice to sell! Love them single hum guitars.
I would have taken that Keisel and given it to Jason Becker for him to sign and auction off. His medical expenses are through the roof, and it would help him quite a bit. Just my 2 cents.
and how would he have signed ???
@@JoaKimG His father, Gary, signs Jason's name and Jason's fingerprint is applied. You can see their eBay items for sale as an example.
Buddy Blaze did Vivian Campbell's Kramer NightSwan with the polka dots when he was in Whitesnake.
omg I wish I bought that unit
How could you not buy the most beautiful guitar, the charvel San Dimas???
@esp901 the single hum one?
Damn, one hell of a find if you know what I mean!
Definitely!.... know what I mean!
7 string charvel and snowblind lookin jackson were cool pieces
Glad you liked them! That 7-string Charvel and the Snowblind-looking Jackson are definitely standout pieces. Both have such unique vibes! 🎸
This was so painful to watch!!! And No not because of the guy with his "you know what I mean". The Jackson's alone made me cry!
Lol dude had a catch phrase. Yea those Jackson's were all minty. Insane collection.
The original owner most definitely measaged me once. He sent me a ton of pics of guitars including that orange soloist. He was nudging for a trade but it never happened. Then he just sent me pics of his entire collection for no reason.
I love Jackson's guitars
Heck yeah! 🤘🤘🤘 You should check out the latest video that we posted where we found a pretty sweet USA Jackson Randy Rhodes model.
I'm not into guitars but I would buy the street sign... it's from my childhood hometown.
Wow! What a haul!
The Rick and JB custom are awesome and worth $$$$$$$$$
I would have probably bought at least 25- 30 of those
wow ...just wow !!! keep only a strat ,a les paul, a jackson ,a esp ,a other esp in a different color ,a bass, a five string bass, a 6 string bass ,the conga drum ,a musicman guitar,a dean guitar....dang keep them all it's like POKEMON!!!!!!! JUST WOW!!!!😲😛😎
Damn that is mega xmas. Why am I never ever ever close to this kind of luck. A guitar players dream.
Not sure how you managed to record one of my dreams but cool to see it put on RUclips.
