Depending on where you go in Louisiana it can seem like a different state or even country. I've lived in the Shreveport-Bossier area for decades, recently moved to East Texas. Shreveport has become very dangerous.
Last time I was in Shreveport was in the early eighties, I don’t remember being scared, but we were young and we all drank. We moved from Detroit to Lake Charles and people offered us alcohol everywhere we went!! 💕
There are places where people live so far up rivers on houses on stilts over a swamp. They have boats to get around because there are no roads and there is even a guy with a pontoon boat loaded with barrels who provides trash collection. It is a different life in Louisiana.
I live in Lake Charles Louisiana and I love it here, born and raised here! The food and people are awesome and very inviting! You should try the boudin from Lake Charles at the Market Basket on Nelson Road!
We were down and toured mostly rural areas, old plantation houses and battle of New Orleans site to figure out just how you guys managed to win one (😉). Met a couple of farmers and pretty well instantly knew we had so much in common. One family came up to visit us back. I would call them severely normal people. Like Alberta USED to be.
LSU Sports is second to none. Go to a LSU football game before you return home. I had my picture taken in front of the Capital Bldg in Baton Rouge. I had a great time checking that city out. Great State if you can dodge New Orleans. Another great video Nick.

Oh no! We're getting ready to move off of Oahu after being here for 20 years and Omaha was one of the two places were are considering. (the other is Sioux Falls, SD). Hope nothing too bad is going on there!

I tried Gumbo for the first time. So good. I really enjoyed this video. I wish more of the US would fill up rather than crowding in big cities to the point of congestion.
it is exactly because its not overcrowded that I could buy a 3 br house in one of the best parts of Louisiana and enjoy basically everything people in big cities do for a discount! Its almost like a cheat code but life is still not easy street of course.
Hey Nick! You made it all the way into Arkansas. A couple of the Churches you showed were in South Arkansas! Three Creeks Baptist Church and Greater Paradise! Hope you enjoyed the gas station food and the fried chicken! Keep up the videos.

A game warden caught a cajun hunter shooting falcons . He told the hunter that falcons were endangered and illegal to hunt . The cajun told him he didn't know . The game warden said , look I'll make a deal with you , if you tell me what falcons taste like i will only write you a warning . The cajun said , they taste kinda like a pink flamingo mixed with a bald eagle .

My sister had and has a Mexican Imports pottery business down here in South Texas and a few years ago she asked me if I could deliver some merchandise for a few clients she had and has up in Louisiana to their businesses, I had only driven and or ride along while going thru rural Louisiana , that time I decided to goof around I'm some of my numerous trips I took to Louisiana and found out how awesome and beautiful, not only how beautiful the whole rural cities in the State are but it's awesome how friendly and beautiful it's people are , I spent about a couple of months driving thru out Louisiana, and in my lifetime,I'm 52 , actually turning 53 tomorrow, like I said , I was a roadie for a whole bunch of bands and artists thru out the 80 s, 90s and early 2000s and I'm my likings , Louisiana is simply beautiful and it's people are simply awesome !! ✌🏻👽🍄💚😚💨💨💨💨💚🍄👽✌🏻
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊
Some times I really like you nick. This is one of them. Good video
Sometimes?
Depending on where you go in Louisiana it can seem like a different state or even country. I've lived in the Shreveport-Bossier area for decades, recently moved to East Texas.
Shreveport has become very dangerous.
Ive lived in Longview for 45 years. Shreveport has always been dangerous.

Yeah, in the 80s Shreveport wasn't great but it's a different kind of dangerous for the last 20 or so years.
Last time I was in Shreveport was in the early eighties, I don’t remember being scared, but we were young and we all drank. We moved from Detroit to Lake Charles and people offered us alcohol everywhere we went!! 💕
Bonjour mes ami

✨🌹 Bonjour... 😊
A+ video!
Very helpful overview of travelling through Louisiana!
Took you a long time till you watched it!
There are places where people live so far up rivers on houses on stilts over a swamp. They have boats to get around because there are no roads and there is even a guy with a pontoon boat loaded with barrels who provides trash collection. It is a different life in Louisiana.
Great job, Nick. Great stories about places most of us never will see. Thanks.
Woohooo crayfish pie and jambalaya ❤
My kin were deep in NOIA and baton rouge, Zachary.
Nick you should have a million subs soon. You deserve it. Love these vids. Love the food and restaurant explorations. Very interesting. Ty for that.
I live in Lake Charles Louisiana and I love it here, born and raised here! The food and people are awesome and very inviting! You should try the boudin from Lake Charles at the Market Basket on Nelson Road!
Bonjour voisin .
I second this, my favorite spot too, I was born and raised in Lake Charles, still here after 48 years
They are down to Earth. Met a Cajun guy in the military. Good folks for sure. They are a little different at times Yea buddy. 😂😂
Bonjour mes amis de Louisiane. USAF vet .
You were in the River Parishes.
Good morning Nick, Thanks for the video 😊
That looks like the most wonderful place.
Wow... what a video!!! Enjoyed each second of it! Loved the narration! Thank you! From Argentina!
I’m so proud to be from Louisiana. Geauxx Tigers!!
LSU Sports is second to none. Go to a LSU football game before you return home. I had my picture taken in front of the Capital Bldg in Baton Rouge. I had a great time checking that city out. Great State if you can dodge New Orleans. Another great video Nick.
Very interesting state. Very different from where I live. I have a hard time comprehending all the crawfish and fried food though. But, the people seem really nice.😊❤
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL DUDE. FEELS LIKE IM WATCHING THE TRAVEL CHANNEL..
Awesome you are in my home state Louisiana we Love our good cooking 🍳
And seafood also my favorite stop on the road is Scott Louisiana the best Boudan sausage 😋
Billy’s ftw!!
Gran boudin , verite mes ami .
Visited family in louisiana a few times now, long flight from UK but always well worth it. Always a friendly welcome in walker and Denham springs
Nick I keep telling folks to watch your videos so they can see how other cities are.
Like what's happening in California and Washington. Georgia and other places.
South Omaha is changing Nick. It's scaring the hell outta many of us.
My gosh, what is happening to our country?
😢
Ask Mappy what in the sam hell is going on around here!?!?
Mappy says he's sad too 😢
Oh no! We're getting ready to move off of Oahu after being here for 20 years and Omaha was one of the two places were are considering. (the other is Sioux Falls, SD). Hope nothing too bad is going on there!
@@mellowmoods8393 quite the change in climate 😭
One word - democrats. Everywhere they are is the same. CA, IL, NY, The city-states within almost every state and sadly the country as a whole after 12 brutal recent years of them in the white house.
Louisiana resident here! You're on point with your info. ❤😂
Bonjour mes ami !
What a fun video. My girlfriend and I are watching TrueBlood right now and I’ve taken a fascination with Louisiana. Last weekend we went to our first Cajun restaurant. I tried Gumbo for the first time. So good. I really enjoyed this video. I wish more of the US would fill up rather than crowding in big cities to the point of congestion.
I live close to Louisiana and visit often. You have a right to be fascinated with the place, it is extremely interesting
it is exactly because its not overcrowded that I could buy a 3 br house in one of the best parts of Louisiana and enjoy basically everything people in big cities do for a discount!
Luoisiana looks good bro. At least there's nobody sleeping rough. And the locals know where their culture is supposed to be.
Thanks for being so kind! You should have come to Covington or Abita Springs ❤ It’s beautiful (not run down) Get you some ice cold Abita beer & Zapp’s chips on your next visit 🎉
I used to love watching Justin Wilson on his cooking show on TV !!
Alas , vieux Justin !
Great video. My daughter, granddaughter and son in law live down there. I can't wait to go back and visit, probably around Thanksgiving when it cools down.
Bonlour comme ce vas
Why where's my dirty rice and red beans , mudpuppies and jambalaya , Skillet fried corn pone bread, , ❓❓❓ Cajun cooking certainly is not dead, posting a neural memories of Justin Wells, The ragin Cajun cooking machine ♥️‼️
Raised in North Louisiana (Monroe, Ouachita Parish) and currently live in Hebert, Caldwell Parish. No place in the USA like Louisiana. I love it!!!
I also love living in Louisiana. I'll never leave.
C'est non pas bonne .
It’s so cool, how people just open up to you. I haven’t watched any of your videos in a while. Now I’m going to have to catch up for the next month!😊
It’s been a great place to live . Home of THE LSU TIGERS 💜💛
Bonjour mes voisine !
