These are GREAT knee and shin protectors. They go pretty low to just the top of my TCX X-Rap boots. They're also really comfortable. Just don't tighten the top strap too much. If you do you feel pinching behind the knees. I wore them under my jeans and walked around all day.
These are VERY comfortable against the front of the leg/knee - but the straps are very tight on my legs. I have the same problem with my EVS Epic L/XL. The straps were so tight that they made my calf fall asleep. Shame since they do feel great against my leg on the front side. I also have Shift basic knee guards that I was hoping to replace with these since the Knee is EN1 certified.
Looks like very safe. But when we meet accident, it will be twisted and won't protect your knee properly. I will work only at the time of slip at low speed.
Hey Drew, I want to know about a knee guard that will offer a bit more knee-side protection, I'm looking on the Leatt 3.0 EXT, This Dainese and the EVS SP, wich one would you recomend? maybe other knee guards different to the ones I already mention? (limit is $70)
The EVS SP provide the most of those three. I'd also recommend the Leatt Dual Axis Knee Guards on closeout, which offer more protection than the EVS SP. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/leatt-dual-axis-knee-guards
Are those like the Fox Titan knee guards ? I own the titans and I have to pull them to the right position constantly, because they tend to move down all the time
I have a pair of these and don't really ever have to adjust them. I wear them on the outside of my jeans though. The top strap isn't the most comfortable, but it really helps to secure them. -Kraus-e
I am not comfortable with the integrated knee protector in my kevlar jeans and would like the best protection for my knee to wear under the jeans. I have seen Dainese has also a knee protector called "Oak" and "Oak pro". Are they better and also suitable for motorbikes?
I believe those are for mountain bikes, not motorcycles. I also think they're discontinued. Instead, consider the following options. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/knox-womens-guerilla-knee-guards *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/forcefield-sport-tube-1 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/leatt-3df-knee-guards-50 *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/forcefield-pro-tube-x-v-2
These are 19.5" long and should fit in a normal sized backpack. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455. -Pat
I’m looking for something I can wear for motorcycling and for E board riding with shorts. Can these be worn with shorts on? Or would it be too uncomfortable?
Hi ! Sorry for my english, I am French and I didn't found a lot of information about this product. I would like to know if a woman can wear it ? And if I can wear it under my motorcycle jeans/kevlar esquad Louisy please ? Because I crashed and I have a knee sprain so I would like more protection. Thank you
Yes, women can wear these, but they might be too bulky to wear under the Esquad Louisy jeans. You might prefer the following from Knox or Leatt. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/knox-womens-guerilla-knee-guards *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/leatt-3df-knee-guards *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/leatt-3df-airflex-knee-guards
RevZilla I'm looking for something just like this, maybe slightly lower profile, that I can wear under a riding jean. I've been looking at a lot of the jeans, but I am concerned at the lack of substantial shin protection from all the jeans. Sure, I could wear my full Out boots over/under the jean, but I'd rather throw on the TCX X-Rap or similar, which again offer no shin protection. Looked through all your armor, and while there's plenty of knee protection, shins come up short. Ideas? Or am I just being overly concerned?
Paul Thiel These Dainese Knee V Guards are probably the best combination of shin coverage and low profile we have. If you want to wear a more casual riding shoe but still have shin protection, go for these. -DrewZilla
RevZilla Thanks guys. But these are over the jean, right? I assume they are fitting under nothing other than a VERY loose fitting mesh/denim riding jean?
Paul Thiel No no. These are for impact not abrasion. You'd need to wear them under the abrasion-resistant riding jeans. If that's too bulky, you may want to consider the full height boot option for shin protection. -DrewZilla
RevZilla Hmm ... Anthony says very clearly, 18 seconds in, "These are meant to go over your pants." Is there supposed to be a NOT in there? As in, "These are NOT meant to go over your pants". Sorry for the confusion. I thought it was odd you'd wear these outside with anything other than dirt-bike/offroad riding.
Paul Thiel Well even though Dainese may say they can go over, I'm still a little hesitant having the straps and armor exposed in a slide. I just wouldn't want the armor or straps to catch on anything while sliding, as that could potentially cause twisting. So while I've seen people wear the armor over pants, I prefer having armor under. -DrewZilla
If you have slim calves, you can probably fit the bottoms of these into the boots. If you have average or larger calves, the overlap will be too much. -DrewZilla
If you're looking for a less-expensive alternative that is still EN 1621-1 rated for street use like the Knee V E1 guards, check out the Leatt 3.0 EXT. -TeamZilla AJ *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/leatt-30-ext-knee-shin-guards
No, I think the Leatt is better for on-road riding, as it's CE-rated for both impact and abrasion. -DrewZilla (www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/leatt-dual-axis-knee-guards)
They are very uncomfortable in the upper back of the leg, like a tourniquet🤮. Also these are much smaler than the first versions of these protections, those were much easyer to put on.
Where are they smaller? U mean down near the foot? I don't see any issues up there, only slight problem i have is the lowest strap heing a bit too tight.
These are GREAT knee and shin protectors. They go pretty low to just the top of my TCX X-Rap boots. They're also really comfortable. Just don't tighten the top strap too much. If you do you feel pinching behind the knees. I wore them under my jeans and walked around all day.
Thanks for the review, I never could figure out which was for the left leg and which was for the right leg!
Just got a set of these, and in case anyone is interested, these work superb for MTB, either straight on skin, or over some MTB trousers. 😁
What do you think is the best over the pant knee protector available
These are VERY comfortable against the front of the leg/knee - but the straps are very tight on my legs. I have the same problem with my EVS Epic L/XL. The straps were so tight that they made my calf fall asleep. Shame since they do feel great against my leg on the front side. Merhaba rüzgar geçiriyor mu? Teşekkür ederim.
In description says u can wear under jeans.
Hi Revzilla! Thank you for your numerous reviews! Would you say these are suitable for offroad riding?
Yes, you can use them for off-road riding. -DrewZilla
Wouldn't one be able to wear them over some under layer with the jean/pants over? or are the not very comfortable to wear that way for longer rides?
Yes, they can be worn under riding jeans, but they'd be bulky for walking around all day. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla isn’t the idea to be riding around all day? Just saying...I’m looking for riding protection!
Can I wear it with high boots?
hi there awsmmm review..if you were to choose between leatt3df hybrid knee guard and this ..which one would you opt for?
I prefer the Leatt Hybrid Knee Guards. -DrewZilla
will it fit over track boots?
omfg the statue moved :P
OMG he also doesn't have hands

Thanks Drew! I think I'm getting those Leatt dual axis, seems good to protect the knee on the sides (gf wants the knee covered as much as possible)

Is it possible to wear these/one under a one piece suit? (Stock knee/shin pads removed)
If you can actually remove your stock knee/shin pads, then yes. -DrewZilla

would be nice to know the construction materials used like what actual armour is made of ect .
The armor is a composite of plastic and foam that meets CE Level 1 for impact protection. -DrewZilla
does it works for biking???
bicycling
These should work fine for bicycling. -TeamZilla AJ
so this can be used for on road use? like over the jeans for a bit extra bit of protection? also can be used for off road?
+The Two Friends Yes, that is correct. -DrewZilla
How long are these? Could these fit in a backpack easily?
These are 19.5" long and should fit in a normal sized backpack. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455. -Pat
my height is 5' 5", you think fit me? how big are they?
thanks revzilla for the videos

+Fox Yes, at 5'5", they should fit to a few inches above the ankles. -DrewZilla

How much of a 'Knee bend' can this accommodate?
I am considering 'Sports' bike riding position!
It really only accommodates a 90 degree knee bend comfortably. -DrewZilla

Hi guys, is it to long when warning a the Dainese TORQUE D1 OUT
There will be some overlap, but you would put the bottom of the knee guards inside the boots. -DrewZilla
i wear alpinestars smx 6 v2 boots, can i wear this knee guard together?
If you have slim calves, you can probably fit the bottoms of these into the boots. If you have average or larger calves, the overlap will be too much. -DrewZilla
I bought them but they don’t come with strap?
thanks for reviews
can i wear them on city sportbike?
Yes, you can wear them on a city sport bike if you so choose. -DrewZilla
