Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures.

This is such a fun game. You can get lost for hours, finding every memory/collectible.
To the right of where you met the Guardian, there's a basketball you can roll into a bucket, I never got it in.

From what I gathered through Jaxon Galoxy (cat behaviorist), the developers of this game spent hours and hours in the office with the cats this game was based off of. They'd study the movements of the cats and everything to make sure that they had the correct data for the game, which is pretty incredible. The amount of dedication that was put into this game shows with the graphic details and the body language of the cat itself. Looking forward to seeing more!
If you raised a cat yourself, and give it love, he will be your best buddy. Don’t give up on cats. I didn’t like cats til my wife made me get one and now he’s my best friend. ❤❤❤ give it a try. Raise it from a kitten.

Aww, as a cat owner (and someone who's played Stray), it warms my heart to watch you play this. I think there are things we take for granted having cats, so seeing someone who isn't as familiar be just as charmed and invested in the cat's story is really precious. Have fun playing the game!

Try putting strips of double sided tape as a deterrent, cats are pretty easy to keep off of or away from things if you know how.

Stray is one of the best games ever made. Its only like 5-hours long, you have got to play the rest of it. You have to solve the hidden mystery, you have to make it to the outside, it is your destiny Fooster.
Nearly at the 1 million mark foster well done bro and I also played this game recently and I was so shocked to how well games have developed over the past 5 to 10 years can’t wait to see what they will be like in the future yet to come
This was such a great game from beginning to end, I played it the whole way thru the second I got it
Honestly, Fooster, you make games like this one a ton of fun to watch. Games like this, AKA walking simulators, are usually really good. And your voiceovers make it better. If you like a game like this, and are willing to continue to step further away from the survival genre, then I'd recommend "What Remains of Edith Finch." If not a VOD, then at least for your own personal enjoyment!

when i first saw stray i thought it was going to be another one of those gimmicky games like Goat Simulator, but after watching you play this it felt like a chilled, and genius culmination of exploration and relaxed puzzle based adventures... to which i am now considering actually getting the game and giving it a shot...
especially since i have a fresh perspective on the game now... so I would definitely like to see more videos of Stray please Fooster...

due to the chilled nature and easy to get on with story that say's far more than it ever actually does.... the pacing of the game is very steady and time seems to pass comfortably, never once felt like it was too long or too short tbh

Btw: cctv cameras are always in couple and turning one towards the other. This way, each camera is always in the field of view of at least one other. So, if somebody tries to tamper a camera, s/he will be recorded on tape.

This game is so true to form where cats are concerned. They studied cats in order to make this relatively "realistic" where the movements were concerned. I love love love this game. There are not enough cat games.
Also, Fooster - I met a little Frenchie puppy yesterday! A little brindle ball of squish and kisses. His name was Bruce and he was beauuuuutiful! Positively fell in love with him!

Please continue this! This game is absolutely beautiful and I'm glad it's done as well as it has. Plus cats are awesome. Also to add if you do continue, don't be afraid to look everywhere. There's no need to rush in this game. And yes, there's an achievement for meowing a bunch of times.

@Fooster - If you ever going to adopt a cat. Get one from a shelter and if possible - don't choose the cat, let the cats choose you. I once adopted one and the one we choose wasn't our first pick - but it was the one that was most persistent being around us and showed most interest. The right chemistry from the get go.
I can't explain it but the environment in the dead city just kept reminding me of little nightmares. But cute cats make it feel so much more comforting. Thank you Fooster

When I played Stray I was super impressed with how well they managed to translate all the mocaps they got from different cats into an animation and how real it looks!
BTW the scratching is not only for sharpening claws but also for leaving scent and, simply, stretch :)

21:02 - Yeah the kneading is what suckling kittens (and puppies) do on the mother's teats to stimulate milk flow. That's the reason they do it as adults on humans, as a comfort kind of gesture.

It was wrecking/scratching the carpets, not kneeding. I love cats. I have two now, but lived with over a 30 throughout my life. Even had a pregnant cat come up to me while i was in bed and she gave birth to 6 kittens right next to my pillow where i helped her clean the little worms. Needless to say I had a very very strong connection with the whole litter
I had this game wishlisted MONTHS in advance of release... picked it up on release day, and played through in two 5 hour sittings. I have no regrets. This is one of my all-time favorite games. Genuinely one of the best things i've played in the last few years.

Honestly, this is a fantastic idea. In fact, this concept could be applied to nearly any animal, to some degree. Could spawn an incredible series of educational adventures. Now, Fooster as a cat, is entertainment indeed.

I think about this game often. It was so simple and beautiful and told a really cool story. I don’t LOVE cats but this little guy was adorable. I hope they come out with another one.

You have to unerstand that cats can sometimes unintentionaly catch you with their claws when they bap you with their paws. We have a cat ourselves and ivee often had small scratches on my hand or leg where our cat has accidently caught me with his claws but he is a gentle cat. A good thing he is gentle aswell because he is also a big cat but very sweet :)
I like watching it enough that I'm bout to search for other gameplay videos of it. Even though I will likely be disappointed with how other creators present it. But I want to see more and can't play it myself. No computer and no internet to download the updates most PS games nowadays force you to download after buying the discs. I game vicariously through streamers like you with RUclips and a cell phone. So thanks for sharing this one. Can't wait to see you play more of it. Your gameplay is always interesting to watch. This was my most anticipated game of 2023 and it did not disappoint. I played it again for a 4th time the other day, I really need a second one because that def left on a cliffhanger
I hope you continue this game through to the end. I've been watching others (Skizzleman, PearlescentMoon, H2Odelirious and Jacksepticeye to name a few) and I love watching new people play it. Seeing their reactions to it is really something. I bought the game but it turned out my laptop is too old to play it. So I am currently saving up and am close to being able to buy a new laptop with better graphics.
