Indigo Traveller That bloke who came out of nowhere and was asking about the video and shouting money. He was asking you what channel do you represent he thought you were representing a big Channel/satellite firm and wanted to scam you for Money.
I have seen about 10 of your videos now, and also your DPRK travel videos.. you seriously deserve more subs.. you are such a awesome person. Thank you for what you do! You have a friend here in NC in the USA.
😂😂😂 The Egyptian guy made my night lol I missed Egypt I have lived there for four years before I came to Australia 🇦🇺 I missed their sense of humour 😂😍❤️
Oh man I love Egyptians they are so down to earth, I love how they are so patriotic and proud of their nation. Also, they're one of the funniest people I've ever met. Greetings from the UAE
4:00 The reason why that guy wanted to know what channel you are in is because Egyptians have been upset about some international TV channels that portrayed them negatively or supported a regime they didn't like. Media has been a big influence in Egypt and he took the inquiry aggressively, but I am glad his friends were more relaxed and chilled.
Look at you, all social and all! I love it. It’s fun to see you getting out with local folks. It’s maybe not exciting in terms of activity but it’s super exciting to see the authenticity of people and places. I think it’s great!! Good on you for meeting up with people! 😊👍🏼✌🏼
Nick if you still in Cairo i recommend you to go to Manial Palace it is about 30 min walk from Tahrir square, It was built for an Egyptian royal prince around the late 19th- and early 20th-century , It reflect a side of Egypt that is not known .
what you have planned tomorrow seems pretty fun but i would also recommend walking around downtown, a lot!, maybe towards the alazhar area. Some parts of downtown have really good architecture although most buildings are in pretty bad condition, while others are not so glamorous but they give you more of a feel of what 'real' cairo is like. So the khan alkhalili bazar is a good place to start but I reckon it's too touristy so you can walk around from there and discover more about old cairo and some of it's amazing resturants (to truly enjoy egyptian cusine you have to forget about eating healthy sadly). Some more 'upscale' parts of cairo and giza might be maadi, mohandeseen, zamalek and the newer suburbs like sheikh zayed city and the fifth district. Lastly, don't forget to visit Alexandria and Port Said. Best wishes!!!
Great to see you meeting friends, old and new. Just about to watch 3 of your new Egyptian videos back to back, been so busy this week. Just need some shisha to get into the spirit Nick haha !
despite most of things now are worse than before 2011,the revolution of January 'd be always one of the bravest and greatest things that has ever happened to Egypt 💔💔
The Obelisk in front of the Nilecity in the background is a genuine one. You can have very nice shots if you took pics in the early morning from the Nile Ritz Carlton's side. Enjoy your stay in Egypt.
You should check out the city El Korba. It has an European feel with lots of shops and nice buildings. Also, Coptic Cairo is a great place if you want to experience the historic Coptic churches (namely the Hanging Church) from the 3rd century. Highly recommend it
I went to a little coffee place with my tour guide one evening in Luxor. It was a quiet little place and faced out onto Luxor Temple. We got to sit and talk and watch the sunset. He bought my friend and I our own shisha to smoke. Then he bought us another one when we finished that one. I don't smoke, but figured if I'm in Egypt I might as well. I regretted that decision. I ended up getting so sick. hahaha And that night we had to catch a sleeper train to Cairo. I'll never forget trying to sleep on the bumpy and loud train while trying to keep everything down! haha
I traveled alone as a blonde female with my 15 yr old blonde daughter and Egypt Felt safer than many parts of the US. It really is safe and people are so nice there.
you need to have a tea at el fishawy cafe man known as 100 years old cafe before you leave cairo. you can find that place in khan el khalili and that place is nearby to el Hussein and el moez street too which is the oldest street in cairo. cheers man 👌
maybe u should try visiting places like new cairo or sheikh zayed next time. they arent really touristy but i think it'd be really nice if u saw the two sides of cairo. i feel like ppl outside of egypt think that every single place in egypt is like that and dont see how diverse it can be. ur view of us really depends one where u go, and no im not saying that all ppl living in older cities are less polite or uneducated bc it might seem like im saying that, its just that theres a difference and it would be really fun so yeah lol like maybe at least look them up idk
I am enjoying your videos so much, this video in particular brings back memories from 2010. I miss what it feels like in Egypt. Inshallah, I will go back :). Shoubra is intense :) it is the most populated area in Cairo. Safe travels to you.
you are amazing , the way being fair and showing pple the true little details on your daily experiments .. hope the next time we could see you in person to show you some egyptian hospitality as it should . ..Keep it up buddy
The guy was asking you for money he said “i want money”. And he was asking about what tv channel you are filming for because egyptians don’t know too much about vlogging and youtube, stay safe 😄
That was good. You don't have to take us on a rollercoaster all the time. I'm sure most people would be like me & could watch you counting flies (for a short time ha). It's true we watch youtube videos first because of the person/s. If that doesn't work - nothing works.
Video was great as usual! As for the conversation you had with the guy in the red shirt at 4:02 , he was under the impression you worked for a tv channel and his name isn’t actually money ,he was just saying “I want money “ (most probably thought he was about to win sth).Thought I’d clarify (:
would love to show you more of another part of cairo Would advice you visit citystars mall in nasrcity or zamalek or the5 th setelment new Cairo or rehab city These are more middle class modern local places
You catch a buzz bro,😂😂😂😂😂, It’s all about the locals, It cracks me up in US no one wants to be in a photo, the rest of the world Everyone wants in! I think we lack the friendliness, Peace Belus
by the way for good restaurant with the best views i recommend the grill @ the intercontinental Samiris (tahrir). It looks amazing at night. More of a quite/romantic vibe to it..
Your videos are great! Love all the info you provide with prices/food etc with a nice mix of sites and everyday life on the streets. My cousin and I are inspired to go now so we are gonna go NEXT may (2019) and staying in Cairo. I've researched most things and found a private guide. What did you do for cell phone use? Thats the only thing I cant figure out yet...do you get a new SIM CARD or something so there's not crazy rates? Any know?
