In England we call that bread a Cobolt Cob or a Farmhouse Loaf. Probably the most traditional style of bread outside of the standard loaf tin we know today. I like to buy one and make it into a muffuletta (hollow it out, insert fillings, replace the top like a jack-o-lanturn, wrap in foil, put in the oven) and that's ready made sandwich's all week in a 79p loaf baby!
