Ahhh another channel with Allegro and Ambassador content 😊 we’ll take over the world! Base spec lovely! Would be great to get this and Lee’s VP together with George and Agatha one day.
My Dad bought one brand new out of the showroom. It wasn't a good car. With union strikes, and the BL quality control issues that eventually brought down the company. He kept it less than two years and traded it to the local Volvo dealer who reluctantly took it in part ex. Your lucky to find one in any condition. 😎😎
Austin Ambassador in hearing aid beige! Looks like the previous owner used it as a storage box, some useful stuff in there though, always nice to have notes scribbled in an old Haynes Manual.
Ah the Ambassador, hated by many, brings back fond memories i have of one i owned back in 2006 im sure it was, a 1.7 L, i was given it as a welding project on the understanding i would save it and keep it on the road which i did. Remember the 150 mile drive home in it, very comfy, didnt break down either. ! Good luck with the project
I’ve got a few parts for the 1700 princess/ambassador. From memory a new front section of exhaust pipe with the flexible joint, new clutch kit, used power steering pump ,alternator, distributor caps
Yay, I was right! It is an Ambassador haha. What a great addition to the channel, these are so rare now its will be amazing to see one be saved. Good luck!👍 :)
Cheers Lee. I'm impressed so far... next once Ive body suited up, I'll be cleaning that interior which should come up with a decent scrub. Lots to do yet!
Looks a decent project that does. Wanted one of these to replace my allegro 3 but ended up with a Sierra instead, sad times! Lol. Good luck with this one, looking forward to see it done.
I was beginning to worry about you, a Moggy Minor that looked like a colender, an Alegro and now an Ambassador.........But the Moggy has gone, so all is well........

I am going to have to try to get that song from Graham Fellows' most famous creation out of my head, as although it is a beige 1.7 L, it is an A reg!
It just happens to be that year.
Yes, I was right an ambassador. Looks in good condition when you think how old it is, good luck with this one.
Fun times ahoy Alex! 👍
