Hotshot is one of the best looking RC cars out there still . Like that red one especially.

Great collection!! The Hotshot was the car that hooked me into RC back in the 80's.
My two favorites in my collection are my mint 3 hole bumper model, and a Hot Trick version .
The car is one of the all time greatest looking in my opinion. 👍

What a great collection, I'm getting back into Rc and looking at getting a boomerang and doing it like the one I had as a kid....I'm looking forward to it even more after seeing these beauts....Tiny bit jealous 👍👍

And a real pain, to put together.
This buggy has a bit of everything in it's design.
You're building wheels, double wishbones, wing, chassis, roll cage, double gearbox's, etc.
This thing is so complicated, tamiya stuffed up the parts order for my model.

What a totally awesome collection - loved the HotShit buggy - drool, drool!!! :D

    • @Gma7788
      @Gma7788 2 года назад

Don't actually drool cause it's a very difficult car to build.
It's mentally taxing to put together.
If had known it was going to be this much of a brain drain, I wouldn't have bought it.
Nobody mentioned it's a total mind contortion puzzle.
Never trust a bloke to tell you the whole story.

Amazing collection, i´ve also really fallen for the Hotshot family, always wanted a Bigwig and a Hotshot as a kid and have now bought both as Re-res. probably get the Boomerang and super hotshot next.

Watching videos of the hotshot, frog, and hornet at any of the bigger hobby shops when I was a kid got me hooked on Tamiya, but my first love was the Boomerang.

Awesome Hotshot series collection!! I’m so in love with Hot Shot original model. Love the unique rear suspension system. Can wait to get my own.. I ask my friend in Japan to order one for me. Which is only about $150. If I order one here in US. That’s gonna coast me around $230~260

@@TAMIYALegends yes, there are many good wholesalers in HK with very deal, but still have to pay for the shipping. Some of my favorite distributors are RCMart, jazhobby, and wahwahmodel... There are also few good place to shop here US are Omnimodel, Amain, liquid RC, RC Express sometimes they have special price.. which they're killing me lol you can always spend tons of money easily. Sometimes it's getting out of hand..

I'm dying to know how he managed to fit Top Force universals in the Hot Shit. They're 1mm too long and bind on the drive cups when you compress the suspension, unless he's solved that problem somehow. Glenn, don't you have that car now? Perhaps you could take a peek and let me know more?

Notice how you've been ignored for the last 3 years?
      Typical scum of today.
I collect other tamiya cars 🚗.
But unfortunately most of us don't buy enough quantities of these things.
Buying 1 makes us consumers, not collectors.

I got one when they first came out and built it for the Wife thinking the 4x4 would make it easier to drive........but it pushed horribly and broke constantly, even driven fairly slow by a Girl! It weighed too much and was underpowered and hop up parts were non existent then. The only Tamiya I actually sold to get rid of it. Should have got the Optima!
