Pro tip on centered guides...define Ctrl+Alt+Shift+G as the shortcut for a new guide. Save keyboard shortcuts. Hit Ctrl+Alt+Shift+G and type in 50% for vertical, enter...repeat for horizontal. Done, and perfect every single time. Save yourself time and prevent errors, forever.

yo seso. i know its a long shot since its an old vid. but how come when i do a stroke size of 13 its super thick, to get a stroke size like yours i have to use like 3.00

Those are smart guides. If you don't have them enabled, go to view, then show, and enable smart guides.
