The one BIG reason why I wud go for this phone would be its size, which seems to be apt for one hand usage. How many of you like Mi A3 for its compact size?

Great short review! I have the Mi A2 and love it, but the microSD storage on the Mi A3 is a huge improvement. I think they should have stuck to a rear fingerprint reader and given us a 1080p display, but a 720p display gets the job done! I actually shoot and edit edit all my videos on the Mi A2 and love the cameras, I simply hate the storage restrictions.

I completely agree, the device is not an upgrade to the Mi A2 but instead a new phone from Xiaomi that continues the A-series while simultaneously making alternative budget cuts on different features of the phone retaining their low price. The androidone OS definitely preserves the capabilities of the decent midrange Snapdragon 665.

I have seen the mi a3 in offline store and i was shocked to see it was 720 p.It looked good and 1080p ish.I own iphone XR and its a tad bit above 720 p and uses lcd tech but it looks good to ‘me.Like honestly looks good.I came from a very good display ,samsung galaxy s8.Side by side defenitely s8 looks good better but XR is good not bad by any means.What we need is good screen smooth perfomance and i think mi a3 ticks both.
Loved your content bro, but the Mi A series phones have the most amazing custom ROM development community out there and Mi A3 is no exception. Note 8 pro running on an mtk, made it hard for the developers to support custom development but belonging to one of the most successful lineup series out there, it had to be done somehow. Realme just like its brothers and sisters Oppo and Vivo didn't support bootloader unlocking until last year which enabled due to their immense success and user requests.

There are no ads on stock android...The ads are caused by an app or by a permission in Chrome for a certain website to post notifications(ads).I had the same problem but it's not from the Android... It's caused either by an app or chrome notification.

Redmi Note 8 with 1080p IPS LCD or Mi A3 with 720p AMOLED? Like he said, Mi A3 isn't good for gaming and I like gaming. But having that AMOLED display with such a low price is good. What bothers me is that it only have 720p display.

Mi A3 for Rs 13,000/- comes with : 10w charger Hybrid sim slot HD Amoled screen for cost, data & battery saving. Being a 'android one' had not yet received 'android 10'. - Realme 3 pro & Redmi note 8 are other better options for Rs 9,999/- .
Custom ROMS and Redmi Note 8 Pro, yo got that wrong. In fact, being an Android One device, and available in more countries, Mi A3 will have a lot of custom ROMs and Note 8 Pro might not even have any due to the MediaTek chip inside.
Beautiful video and great review as always! Personally I think that savvy customers are better off getting a Redmi Note 7 or 8 and flash a ROM instead of waiting for an Android 10 update which will take forever to arrive lol
But custom roms do not supports banking apps... That is like the only reason I am still on stock rom... Yeah there is a work around in magsik to make it happen, but banking on a rooted phone !? Will it be safe, i don't think so tbh

@@StephenKeats1323 but one selling point of the A series of xiaomi is android one support. People who bought the phone paid money to have the latest android version when it is released. It's supposed to be a feature for this phone but xiaomi is failing to deliver.
1. Mi A3 fingerprint sensor sucks. Can't use it while unlocking apps like GPay, etc. It is slow too. 2. Mi A3 Android 10 update has not come yet. Dark mode is not complete on this. Eg. Settings page remains white. 3. REDMI NOTE 8 has quad camera and is priced at ₹9,999 and this just has triple camera at 12,500. Go for REDMI NOTE 8.
Why they want to differentiate is because note series is using MIUI and they want consumers to use more and more MIUI so that lot of profit will go to Xiaomi.

Yeah Mi A2 had a lot of weird choices made by Xiaomi
