I switched to the box system about a year ago and loooove it. Highly recommend. Super fast to pull for shipping, even can have others pull for me. And ive even mistakenly delisted before i pulled the sku from Posh and its easy because everything is in date order. And then when youre ready to tackle the "older/stale" inventory, its so easy to go to the first few boxes and either relist, donate or price drop. Instead of going bin by bin, and having some new stuff, some old stuff, etc.
    You will not regret it.

I feel like this would be a useful exercise for all of the bins! Especially as you are trying to refocus on a more tightly curated inventory and also needing space for the new hardgoods.

I also have the same system as you and I found what works best if I find one of the more "empty bins" when listing and make all the new things in the same bin. Hope that makes sense. But I only have about 800 items so might be harder. I also started to drop prices on items I've had 2+ years or take new photos/update the listing etc. I relist on posh constantly but I started relisting on mercari and eBay as well! And I would definitely start listing on mercari if you haven't already!!

I think you should leave bins. Boxes don’t really work any better, I’ve had both. They hold less and get broken down over time. My suggestion is instead of buying more new inventory take your older stuff down and relist as new. Not just end and sell similar, make a brand new listing with new pictures and everything. I e been doing an inventory myself and have sold so much old stuff that I redid completely. It’s crazy how much sold once it was a new listing!

Is there a way to end and relist your current listings for postmark, like you can on eBay? It basically creates a new listing, and shows that you are being active and listing new things, without having to add to inventory so much. That’s lot of inventory to manage well.

@@jenns37 yes I have been using Vendoo to delist and relist items. When I use that system it is a super fast process and creates a completely new listing. I’ve been using it for ebay Poshmark and Mercari and have noticed items are selling when I do that. I’ve started being more consistent in doing at least 50 a day since I have so much inventory

Have you considered selling mystery boxes to other resellers to greatly downsize your inventory? Since you’re listing 8-10 per day?

I use the same system as you do. I used to individually label items and found it was just an extra step. I found the key was going through and reducing/organizing what I had. I also had to, and still need to work on, making sure that I follow through on putting away inventory when I add it and if I pull it for some reason. The bins with labels work really well for me but it has been about keeping up with the system. I think labeling each item is an extra and unnecessary step.

I also took a break from sourcing this month and have been purging inventory. It been tough to let things go for less but it seems like it will come out in the wash by getting rid of old inventory and at least getting something for it.

@@christinegreen3974 thanks for the tip. I have actually never had much of a problem with the system until recently. I think I finally figured out how to fix it so I will probably keep it. I’ve thought about getting rid of the individual tag numbers but I’ve worried that it might make it harder to find the items in the bin once they sell. Do you find that you have to dig a lot to find what you need?

The SKU will be great, but you will lose vertical space unless you find perfect boxed you can double stack. You got this. ❤
