Oh, gosh- this is one sweet song, and one sweet band. This is the first I've heard Lebert sing, and he does a good job. But I have to say that my favourite Lombardo's are from the 20's and 30's with Carmen as vocalist. I had my photo taken with Guy and Carmen as an 18 year old (on a date) in 1966 and Fred Kreitzer was still with them- almost 40 years after this recording. Thanks for posting this great old tune- always a pleasure listening to The Royal Canadians.
part of my collection as well; i really like this tune...and i love the royal canadians..the early tunes especially. very nice vid and information; thank you.
@bsgs98 What a great memory- and thanks so much- I've been trying to find that for some time- another classic Lombardo from the '30's. Do you ever listen to Jan Garber or George Olsen? And another great band from that era is Gus Arnheim, and the vid from the Cocanut Grove Hotel in L.A., with all the movie stars from the '30's is just marvellous. There were just so many great bands here- in the U.K. as well. Thanks for posting- you're helping to keep this great music alive. -Bill
he has such a mischievous,. charming face
The sax sound is the main reason I have always been a Lombardo fan and always will be.
The early recordings of Guy Lombardo (late 1920s and very early 1930s) are the best IMO. So danceable!
After all these years I am still caring about Guy and his music,it cannot be beat.
Super excellent with very good interesting photos

Wonderful slow fox trot.
Except for the 4/4/ and the Tuba Guy sounded much the same some 30 years later. Nicely done.......He always played for those who loved to dance.....
