I get by ... at least with 82WPM I'm basically writing at a reading speed level and can hold a text conversation in a chat room without any pauses. I suppose you can do 120WPM and that makes you a better person, yes? And sure, I was raping people with 1k+ hours on my first try online in UT2k4. Do I hate the game? Hell no. But it's not a great game, and the skillcap is far lower than many other games. It's more accessible because of this, and was infinitely more popular online because of this, and at the LAN parties I went to in the early/mid 2000's. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I was brought up on a diet of Quake under wireplay and the Jolt 1v1 league, followed by division 1 Jolt Q3 OSP. Of course UT is going to be easy. I'm looking forward to UT4. It looks amazingly pure and the gameplay videos / duels I have seen so far are impressive.

How is WoW an exciting game. It's encaptivating but not exciting. UT was revolutionary and there is a reason its considered better by most.

I did find out later that the community of Urban Terror continued to grow with more maps and guns and gameplay modes added for a long time after I left. Made me kinda regret leaving it. I still boot it up from time to time on the pro version with my lifelong friend and 1v1 on instagib with rails. Our skill decayed horribly from the glory days and we have only fraction of if but we still have a blast. We played around 60 hrs worth of 1v1's on quake champions but its just not it. Long Live Quake 3! Btw my first real multiplayer game that wasn't just a couch playing session on a console with 2 pads was Quake 2, i'll never forget it
@@Examus93Yeah Quake Champions was a big old mess. The netcode was so f'ing bad... whereas I played Quake 3 with 200-400 ping sometimes back when internet got throttled during the day. Wasn't pretty, but it was way more reliable than Quake Champions with 50ms ping.

I never got into Quake but Unreal Tournament is the greatest game of all-time for me. Unreal Tournament 2004 is the best first person shooter ever created.
