This video is so relatable. I got back to this game after not playing for 3 years, and it was so hard to get used to it. After 3 months, I think I'm loosing my intrest again

@@ZyaVeriGD ....yeeea the discord servers been very toxic lately. there was some drama around Desolate Domain V2 getting a lot of unnecessary nitpicks shortly after its release. crazyblox responded by making rules around feedback stricter, but that just ended up escalating the situation, making crazyblox step back from discord (he's still working on the game tho)
@@bradhp11 ig some devs cant handle as much drama as others, everyone has their limits ig, onett who made bee swarm simulator was delaying an update for a whole 7 months, in that time span, the server was still active but barron, then people started begging for the update to come out and the mods had to disable chatting in the discord server for a whole two months before the classic event update came out

Boosting intensity is practically the only way to go up difficulties faster, but the inflation problem with how expensive it is to boost with gems gets worse.

I think something that holds the game back a lot in terms of bringing in new players and keeping a consistently high player count is the fact of the difficulty, as you mentioned towards the end of the video, most servers are constantly on insane or higher, and pro servers are basically useless. For a new player, this isn't going to give them the opportunity to get used to the gameplay or give them time to learn it period, all they can do is trial and error, and thats not very engaging gameplay that will get new players hooked early on.
There is one problem I have with boosting. The idiots who spam boost so that the only maps are crazy+ maps. (For context I have only beaten 1 crazy map and that map was poisonous chasm)
I myself came back to FE2 recently a few weeks ago and man, you couldn’t be more right. It’s been a while since I’ve felt such an adrenaline rush while playing Roblox, and my god have I missed it.
Tragically, I can’t foresee the game growing anymore. Your average new player will be constantly subjected to difficult maps as good players don’t really need Pro Servers unless they wanna play Crazies. Additionally, there’s plenty of high skill players who just haven’t beaten all the Insane maps, and must stick to normal servers.
I personally wish that there was a way to better separate the playerbase to allow each to flourish, new players so that they can learn and enjoy the game, and experienced ones to challenge themselves. Maybe someday.
I played in 2017 all the way until early 2023. I got a lot of skill and looked into speedrunning and mastered backjumps. Once it was patched, I just moved on to FE2 Reborn and FE2 2021 when they released. And yes, I kept practicing in sandbox to keep the skill.

OG fe2 was goated. The levels were actually sightreadable, there weren't too many mechanics, there was insane lock, and there weren't any group buttons
I played the game alot in 2021 and 2022 when newer maps and Poisonous Chasm got added, of course I beat Poisonous Chasm and Blue Moon, but after that I stopped playing because, I technically beat the game.
Coming back to flood escape 2 when crazy added the maps in, it felt crowded and if you want to play the original maps you would have to go to the retro servers in which, they have no shiftlock for mobile.
Although I feel like it’s overstimulating for me personally with the 70+ maps, it may be what people actually want and if so that’s completely understandable.
its still so fun but learning all the maps again, i started playing again in 2023 beat all the maps and was one of the first like 20 to beat rustic jungle quit and came back recently and now theres over 90 maps
Honestly, map wise, i dont have an issue with most maps. They're a couple of maps that have strange layouts, which can make them very confusing if you didn't practice them beforehand. I like 95% of the osts, i have no problems they are just a couple of osts remakes that are just worse than the previous one (Abandoned Harbor, Submerging Coastlines, to name a few).
Most events dont bother me. Fog is really only annoying if you don't know the map layout beforehand. Mirror basically confuses your brain altogether. Exploding buttons is not that bad except on a few maps.
The only thing that bothers me is the jump power decrease. While i do undestand crazyblox wanted to stop people from glitching out of the maps path, it made tall jumps harder. Every now and then, in certain maps, especially Blue Moon, you can litterally get stuck in the staircase part because your character can not jump high enough. Crazyblox, please fix this. Other than that this game is super fun it should've won best obby game for game awards its not even close, TOH doesn't update, Obby in a bike is a cash grab, Altitorture is basically steep steps but 2 players. Fe2 Has superior map and gameplay design. Especially on the crazy maps those maps always have ton of intensity.
I'm in a bit of a weird spot. I used to play FE2 back when the hardest maps at the time were Blue Moon and Poisonous Chasm. It was fun getting to learn how to play the maps, especially soloing them at my own pace.
Now... coming back to this, there are many maps I'll have to learn and play, and they feel harder to sightread (?)... and I'm not too sure if I'm ready for that grind again, especially if I have to do it in public servers lol

Yeah I render starting in 2018 and then leaving when the game got no updates. One day I saw it in my recomeded and I saw it getting updates which is when I came back around when decayi g solo was added. I've been playing ever since and even started making my own maps(I made some before I took my break but the event script confused me and my map wouldn't work(and crazyblox told everyone to make sure they code it right lol)). All this game needs is a tutorial to attract new plAyers but other than that ima go back to my desert ruins grind

i quit fe2 when crazyblox started patching wall hops and speed glitches so the game just didn't feel fun anymore
FE2 fans are the only ingrates that could see a dev patching significant bugs and be upset about it

I’ve played FE2 since 2020, played the agility update (good update), and played before the stupid intensity system update. I’ve also played this game when there were only 4 crazies and I played a lot during that time. The old intensity system was so much more simpler, a certain number of people survive and the difficulty increases, while today you just stay in that same difficulty unless you waste gems to boost (another money farming tactic, typical crazyblox).
In 2024, wall jumps are ruined because crazyblox thought changing the hitbox on the avata torso would stop people from doing certain glitches or skips, which only made things WORSE. You can’t even stick to wall jumps properly, your arm can’t even grab it anymore, yielding in more useless and frustrating fails. Jump power was lowered for no reason, making a significant difference in being able to jump onto tall boxes or higher ground. It is so infuriating how crazyblox made this game miserable to play with these useless changes affecting physics.
Also, crazy+ exists, and ever since its release, it is frustrating, annoying, and unbalanced. The only decent maps are central mass array and wildwood waterways. Whirlwind Wasteland actually exceeded my expectations, it was actually fair, consistent, and fun, I almost beat it and may be my first crazy+ if I can do the final part at the barrier.
OSTs has been ruined, Satomi Springs should have kept Forsaken Era, literally fits the atmosphere. Sandwept Ruins using Sedimentary Temple OST was such a great fit, and Relic Valley should have kept Marred Dreams OST.
Edit: almost forgot to mention round modifiers. Exploding buttons is the FUCKING WORST MODIFIER TO EVER EXIST. Ruins the flow on maps with buttons that are directly next to the main route (ex. Sandswept Ruine, Abandoned Harbor, Active Volcanic Mines, etc). It literally goes against the main philosophy of the game where you have to not only escape the flood as fast as possible, but multiple people going for buttons so in case someone fails on the way to the button, there are reinforcements making their way to the button. What happened to random group buttons, that should have never been removed. Making some buttons normal and some button a group button was literally perfect. Also, bring back chill mode should come back, actually great mode, and literally chill.
i still like the game overall, i just hate the walljump hitbox being smaller and the jumppower nerf and how you climb slower on trusses. instead of nerfing the physics and stuff he could have just patched the shortcut on that map
Came back to Roblox recently, first action was to login to FE2 and honestly I got whiplash after 5 years, I remember being so good at it but now I borderline suck ass--- to see this recommended to me feels like fate lol
I'm still not used to the new maps, navigation is not my strong suit, completely forgot every shortcut and the fcking fog sometimes

I still adore the game for the fond memories, but christ how was lil me so good at this--- tho ig the enjoyment wears off when ppl keep boosting, Insane maps being chosen, I hate Dark Sci Facility with a passion

I used to play alot from 2018-19 and ill say the game has changed alot for better and for worse
One thing I don’t like is how alot of the maps even ones supposed to be simple or normal can be confusing to the point where new players can easily die as they don’t know where they are going
The game back in 2019 was alot more beginner friendly compared to now the map test is now broken a bit so you cannot practice as much
Speaking of practice alot of maps are annoying as hell to beat solo so if you want to do your own server and try to beat the maps yourself it’s going to be a bit hard if your not a pro

@@It_Jordo removed chill and chaos modes which chill mode would help newer players be more experience and now the normal servers are incosistent for the new and players that are more experience that can't access pro servers. easy-insane maps can only played in normal servers making pro servers the only servers to have crazy now. intensity reset happens every 12 rounds in normal servers which is annoying to beat all non community insane maps to access pro servers.
