It is so heartening to see these young people standing up against the genocide of Palestinians. They have been threatened with arrests, ruining of their careers, and financial ruin. Some professors have been fired from their jobs in Canada by labeling them as terrorists, pro-Hamas, anti-sematic, and whatnot. These protests are far more peaceful that other protests against violence yet they are being dealt with heavy-handedness of IDF-trained police.

There was a process of peace in which Russia wanted Ukraine to be neutral and not be a part of NATO like Finland. Ukraine pulled out of the negotiations because the US and the UK wanted the Ukrainians to fight. Something the general public fails to realize is these are NOT your typical broke ASF college students working two jobs. Like it or not they are in FACT some of the brightest, most intelligent humans walking the planet and they very likely have money, and I mean LOTS of money! Which means they have time and nearly UNLIMITED RESOURCES, and in turn, staying power and INFLUENCE! Not too mention their families have probably donated more money to these institutions than the GDP of some countries. These kids could quit school today and not work a day in their life but they're willing to literally get arrested and live in a tent to make a stand against genocide. Love'em or hate'em you CAN'T say they're spoiled brats and you DEFINITELY have to RESPECT their passion. Columbia and other "elite" universities are going to have to decide if sacrificing the will of the MAJORITY of the student body is worth their status as an "Ivy League" school. If they want to keep those funds flowing they better get with the changing times or they will find themselves as the nicest community college in the world.
