A true fan would realize although you necessarily dont enjoy the guitar others can find it beautiful, and its beautiful how Sufjan can make plenty of unusual noises blend with his beautiful music. In my opinion.
@kenmeyerjr I agree I have been obsessed with this since it came out, bought the download cause I couldn't wait for the CD! top 5, every single song is amazing
I'm so sorry, I meant to say that your late friend's opinion of Sufjan made my day, NOT the terrible story of his demise. Please forgive my thoughtlessness :(
@littlelogic92 the idea of getting paid for art is arbitrary in itself... its just a capitalist ideal that has been pushed into everyones brain. If someone would give me food and a place to eat instead of money for the stuff i do i'd joyed
@littlelogic92 lol i don't think we are actually in complete disagreement here maybe just looking at an idea differently and misunderstanding eachother, but yeah hells yeah
@littlelogic92 i don't like people making money off of art... its kind of silly because we should all try and express ourselves through some sort of art form, I was saying that i'm thankful for his music even though he does it for money which is like being thankful for someone selling you that sweet ass xbox even though you worked yo ass off many hours to purchase said item.. ya know?
As a Sufjan fan, this song is, in my humble opinion, one of many culminations of Sufjan's incredible musical talent and ability to transpose emotion into sound. This is anything but dissapointing. I will admit, the guitar solo is terrible, but its just a smudge compared to the beauty of this song in its entirety. A true fan would see and understand Djohariah to be a masterpiece.
I love this song! Djohariah Stevens went to my high school, there's a picture of her in our athletic Hall of Fame for Track & Field. She was gorgeous.
She still is! I am married to her! 😁 But am not the carpetbagger.
@@BN-wg7em if you're telling the truth, that's so cool! what's Sufjan like?
When you actually read about Djaharia, his sister, this song makes so much more sense and is 10 times more beautiful. Gosh, I love Sufjan.
Where can we read about her ??

The music is so perfect for a February snowstorm, especially at night. It makes me look forward to that time of the year.
My memories with this song are from February 2018.
Ridiculously impressive, beautiful, amazing, heartfelt. Sufjan, you are a true musician in every sense of the word.
Representing those that like the guitar solo.
One of my favorite songs, this and Sister, So beautiful!
Seriously! I actually really love it. I never thought twice about the guitar solo until that post.
wow epic sounding. is like a 15 minute musical journey.
oh is longer... terrible :/ is like being jolted awake from a good dream..
Generally not a huge fan of Sufjan but this piece gives me chills every time...
Oooh that's brilliant, you just made my day, so thank you :)
The solo is fuckin great man. You're either out of date in guitar world or in a very non-liking-rock-music phase if you think otherwise.
Its even more meaningful if you realize the guitar is her sister and her life choices.
Un genio
wow a true fan! amazing!
wow i know you makes money sufjan, but i have to admit i'm thankful for your music
Wow, Lecrae sampled this on can't stop me now...
This is really nice! thanks so much.
hella maggot brain. i love it
ghostly. the true definition of haunting

Just had my brain shit on. This guy is intense as fook

Does anyone know who the guitarist is?
Sufjan himself. He essentially does everything for his records.
love it
@KeshnerfFilms and only fellow FA users will know what you mean. He's actually a chill dude, though.
💛
donde puedo conseguirla completa? mil gracias!!!! es PRE-CIO-SA!!!!
gosh. not the same night he said that? gosh
Cristo
Alguien puede decirme si es él (Sufjan) quien toca la guitarra principal o es alguien más? Quién es?
@sleepless2grace money has the illusion of value, art is valuable within itself
Thank you too ''Evil Spectacle selling b*stards'' blog guy for this eye opener. Hope your father wins his fight man.
Not being notice final was cute as I was listen to this ... just chock my heart ! Enjoy it anyways ^^
Fuck yes!
@littlelogic92 take it how you please
reminds me of pink floyd in the beg.
it's an awesome song :)
for sure. atom heart mother vibes

as if you knew music.

@littlelogic92 tasteless thinking? cheap logic? ok i'll take that... supporting art is supplying people with the means, not the ends....

Le parole sono sprecate.
as a sufjan fan this song is hugely disappointing. he's seen better days.
Not even close, this song is about his sister. It makes plently of sense if you paid attention to the lyrics and the meaning.
This song is epic bro
