@@55_Ford_F·250_LB no at the beginning of the movie you can see the front of the car and the grill is on the top and bottom of the nose cone And whenever he turns into the radio station you can see the 69 dodge charger tail lights but I think his other car was a Plymouth
I do not care man, it is a toy car, it does not necessarily have to follow the real car ... I tell you well without insulting you, greetings from Mexico
I love how you intentionally damage these before restoring. You'd have to be brain dead to believe this car actually looked like that to begin with without sandblasting and purposely damaging it.
@@redsinger11, your comment totally glosses over the fact that he's telling the truth, you must be brain dead to believe this wasn't intentionally scuffed up to look worn out.
Very well done, it`s amazing the detail those cars had, correct seats, door panels with the storage pouch, it was in very nice shape when you got it, that`s rare, I had those and trashed them, love the yellow, I always loved the lemon twist cars, nice job.
You did a really great job and justice to the '69 Daytona. Everything from the 426 dual quad, cast iron headers, A727 transmission, the 410 Dana pos-a- trac axle, Magnum 500's, red stripe sidewalls, rear fin, black interior. Its all there. The only thing I would add is a black steering wheel with wood grain trim. Great work!
Wow , that's a great restoration of the Dodge Charger Daytona at 1/18 scale model . I like very much how it looks after the restoration and the pain is fantastic !👍👏👏👏🥇🏆
Nice! Looks like you removed the casting parting lines on the wing uprights. Should have painted the engine bell housing and transmission aluminum while you were at it. Also, I'd have picked out the window trim with a chrome paint pen while you had the glass out. Also, there's a metal aerodynamic plate covering the A-pillar that connects the side window trim with the windshield trim
I truly love your work and admire your skills - you take it so far to become a thing of beauty but i don't understand not doing the key holes, hood blinker signals, side-marker reflectors etc. - that tiny extra that would put you in a league of your own
Mi pregunta es =quien hacia o fabricaba esos hermosos juguetes? Y dónde es q los encuentra para restaurarlos?... exelente trabajos de restauración, felicidades!
I’d really like to see one of these bigger models painted in spectraflame like the original hot wheels redlines, might be a pain to zinc plate one of these though
Nice job, some diecast that you're purchasing to store look okay but there's so much more that could have been done and it's nice to see a video like this to bring a diecast to what it could be
Actually, this was a pretty easy fix. The car’s condition wasn’t that bad. I’ve seen him do way more complicated restorations. Still turned out beautiful though!
I sure would not have choosen yellow those cars were usually blue like in the movie cars 1 the car was blue with the black rear end with the blue spoiler in the back but nicely nicely done
Yeah but the king in cars Is a playmouth superbird (idk how to write it) known with a blue color and the model hes restoring Is a Dodge Challenger that its famous on a orange color
@@smartass3967 none of the Plymouth Superbirds sold to the public came in that blue colour of the King in cars. That is “Petty Blue” the colour of Richard Petty’s racing team. And yeah like the other guy said, this is a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. The King is a 1970 Plymouth Superbird. (The reason he said orange is probably cause of the general Lee from the dukes of Hazzard TV show which is a regular Charger not a Daytona)
I was finally able to pause at the right time to see the brand of these or at least this model. It is AMT/ERTL easy enough to find online. Found this model new in the box going anywhere from 50 to 100 bucks.
I wonder if he sometimes has to watch his recording back to be able to put the item back together, some of them, like this one have a huge amount of parts.
When you showed it ff the first time before it was restored. And when you payed the sweet sound of that 426, I had a complete (excuse my French) Eargasm. Plus this is one of the unobtainable dream cars that I wish I could get my hands on in real life (it's my all time favorite car.)

i love dodge daytona
You've done some nice cars but I think this is one of the few cars that you've done that looked sexy all scratched up and messed up cool old barn find
2 things omitted:
A 426 Hemi Daytona had Black Valve Covers (OEM)
The Center grill should have been "blacked out" (or painted silver and black)

Also the engine bay should have been body color and the headliner black. Still an awesome resto though. Enjoyed it very much. Long live old Mopars.
Spectacular restoration !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dodge Charger Daytona is my dream car. MOPAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
