In a 129 Gfred, taking the OG routes especially the parachute is better than dealing with traffic generated from others in front of you or being a part of others crashes !!
the hail mary consistency is probably the biggest gap lol. the hotlappers never mess that up

Don't forget him being crushed by a Fieldmaster accidentally at 5:49 after he did the same with the Mixer at 4:49

To be fair i'd watch a broughy gfred practice stream
same. And knowing he's a quick learner if he puts the effort into it, having more frequent fights for the top positions would be totally worth it, for me at least who really enjoys watching Broughy fighting for wins.
Honestly, just watching a few RBS videos improved my solo GFRED times immensely. Sub 26mins in the winter conditions. I mean, in an 8thGearFred I'd probably be 80th, but I'm an extreme novice.

How about a big truckfred? Tippers, mixers, rubble trucks, trashmasters. phantoms, mules, and whatever else fits in this class.
I did suggest I one of RBS's videos for Gfred Challenge ideas. To be a driving coach to guest drivers like you on how to properly do a Gfred now. It would be fun to see, might be able to make a series out of it for both of you.
Next Gfred session he should have a coaching session for Gfred instead of just playing, we would love to see Broughy winning from time to time...

Look I get that Brough doesn't want to practice GFRED in his off time but honestly at this point I'm kind of tired of hearing him say what he "needs" to do with GTA. He's "needed" to learn lines for like 3 years now. And he's "needed" to figure out his FPS in game to not get smoked on straights. Like come on lad, just pick a day and get it done mate lol You can do all these things on stream. People will gladly watch it and honestly people will be all the more glad once you get it sorted and you can move on from it being an issue on stream. You won't lose out on anything my guy. Just stop the procrastination.

@@DiNmiTe I was a personal trainer for a few years. I must have heard at least 500 people say they "didn't have time" for something. 499 of them were just making excuses. But it is what it is. I just like Brough's content and want it to be the best it can be. Plus everyone loves it when the man wins/performs well and honestly if he just sorted his FPS out he'd stand more of a chance against monsters like you :P

15:00 yeah 5 positions gained from the route choice up chilliad. hard to tell how many would have been gained from the hotlap route, but it would have been mroe stressful for sure
Somehow at 21:30 I was kinda waiting for a car to whack you over the head... But man, what an annoying way to fail the hail mary :/ Freakin' traffic!
These huge GFREDs are fun to watch though! Maybe at some point I'll actually make it into one.
both his fails of the hail mary were a skill issue,
on the first attempt he shouldve just held his line or not slowed up, him doing the weird move he did put him in a position where he hit the car.
the 2nd attempt he just stuffed up the line, way to high. needed to be more left and it wouldve been fine.

I don’t get why you took the middle route to be safe, yet took the railroad bridge on a 129 player gfred. That just contradicts you choosing the middle route in the first place.

I'm always a tiny bit disappointed when there's less than 300 people in a Gfred, but apparently the potatoes powering the server get overloaded too easily. Considering the run to the quarry, it was a hell of a run to get in the top 20.
outside of special "big" events the server is limited to 128 players. with this stream specifically, there was a last minute update to the server before the stream that broke something so regularly that it was reverted prior to the Gfred.
basically what dinmite said, the big server is very very expensive so it's only put on when there's a big event. These 130ish player gfreds are pretty close to the normal server limits
Ah yes well.. it was a good comeback till the lift. To be fair, I've started watching.. others do these races over the past few months and aside from some very small line differences, i'd say its simply the unforced errors that make the difference. I've seen others make small mistakes and still do well, so it's all possible. Sometimes bad luck happens, whatever does you always seem to try to salvage something positive from it. The chiliad send was fun! - Trying it myself.. I've tried to get in a few times, it feels perhaps just a little harder than it should be to join the races.

The reason you can set the server to 128 and get 129 people in is probably bc the software counts the first one as "zero". So it's always n+1.
It's also possible that with so many people, if two join at the same time that one of them gets missed
Theres many things to make the run better, but its all about getting to the freeway first. Theres no chance rbs runs away and hides if he has to fight 40 people for a car at the start. So just watch the first part of his videos to get to the freeway brough.

PH isn't interested in using OneSync for our servers since from our testing the lag is much worse. And 8th Gear have no interest in having random races.

Out of the last 50 Gfreds where he attempted the hail Mary, he has only failed it or died 12 times (and 1 of them was completely not his fault). That is a 76% success rate for something he does four times a week. Chill the fuck down.
