Despite being nearly two years ago, this guide is still super helpful! Ive been wanting to create my own font for a while and i was able to make it easily by following this video 💖
I found this video while searching how to create my own font. Have to say, VERY well done! You have a terrific mix of going fast (so it’s not agonizingly boring), yet you’re slow enough to be easy to follow. That’s a real tough line to balance on when teaching people something and you’re doing that perfectly - kudos! I don’t have an iPad or an Apple pen, so I need the manual method to create my font (print/scan/upload), and I knew this starting your video… but you were engaging enough to keep me watching, again a tough thing to accomplish and again…kudos.
Wishing you best success with your channel, you’ve got a good future in both teaching and IT/graphic design, etc. Thanks for the help with this one. Cheers. 🤠👍

I was wondering if there’s anyway to do this but the other way around. I use GoodNotes for my studying, I like to write instead of type, but my handwriting is always terrible even after practice. Is there a away to have your handwriting corrected automatically to a nice handwriting font? I mean you can do writing to text, but that can be really finicky for the layout/time consuming.
You could use OCR maybe. Just write and then use any software and apply OCR. It does not work perfectly so you need to check the final result. Adobe acrobat has an OCR function. Never used it with my handwriting but you could try.
Can one do this without needing an ipad? can it just be pen an paper and upload the same way?

Hello! I can't change the letter space into 0%, the lowest is 1% which is not helpful. Do you have an idea what I do wrong? Anyone the same problem?
Not trying to be a jerk, but in the thumbnail it shows hello in cursive, but the method you present seems to only convert printing, not cursive, into a font.

I’m guessing you could change the spacing options when importing the completed font documents back into calligrapher. It’s probably something you’ll have to play around with to get it the way you like :)

so basically you spent money to make a font wich is the same as the 99.9% of the print script fonts out there? so damn generic... so if you don't write in cursive is a waste of money.
