Drop the contrabass!
What about the double Bass?
I cringed when I read that
@@bruceevan Dude please I was 15
haha actually good
Lmao 😂😂😂
It's really cool to see things like Dubstep and EDM shown through classical music. people love to think that musical complexity peaked during the Victorian era with the orchestra and died as styles like rock and electronic music took over. but honestly this new music is just as complex, both in it's components and in it's ability to express deep emotion, as the music of the past.
Skrillex deserve his name in school music subject
Years ago I met a composer at a rave and he kept going on about how EDM (specifically trance/dubstep/dnb) is the closest genre to traditional symphony that we have in modern society without it actually being symphony. That one day he would love to lead a symphony but stay within the realm of EDM. I wonder whatever happened to that guy.
@@StevieTho did he explain how it was like symphony?
The invention of the internet has meant high and low forms of art or cultures are more accessible so these kinds of transcriptions can be created more readily and consumed. Before the 90s, I dont think children/teens/young adults were as interested in classical, baroque or romantic era music as much as they are now for instance due to accessibility and experience bias. Unless you learned an instrument.
- Kyoto sounds like a really good villain theme 6:35
- Equinox sounds like the theme of a rising hero 5:20
- Cinema sounds like a final battle between good and evil 2:10
- Equinox [Theme] sounds like the somber end to a conflict 9:09
Can someone just make an entire movie soundtrack out of Skrillex songs?
This just shows how deep the levels are Skrillex's music. There is something about this guy; his composition and arrangement are very sophisticated. There's more to his music than a quick, flash in the pan song with awesome beats. What he does, he does good even if it's composed on a laptop. His music transcends. Thanks!
…. It shows how great these musicians and composer who put this together are
facts
amazing flute on Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites
I really hope Sonny sees this. Even better if he did a reaction video to it. I would cry from happiness if I found a video like this of my music. Just because of the beauty and dedication it took to do the performance. The amount of practice and organization it takes for an orchestra to learn something would have me feeling so appreciated and honored. Absolutely amazing
Literally this song is in his album 😅
its beautiful
this is a pride for all fans of Skrillex you know his music has come so far and that anywhere like it.
skrillex needs to make a movie so these people can be really acknowledge. it's all perfect.
Cinema sounded revolutionary :D
I got goosebumps when the flutes started playing the beginning of Equinox :3
this video shows that skrillex isn't making crazy dubstep tracks ( like some people tell ) this is a proof that skrillex creates melodic and amazing MUSIC by compining the dubstep sounds. Here it's show the talent that skrillex has...
I don't understand why people are disliking this video. This is a beautiful and original piece of music. Just because dubstep and classical music are not alike doesn't mean they can't work together. Furthermore, those who are disliking this just because the music is originally from Skrillex does not mean that you have to dislike this work of art. I believe that this is an amazing orchestra, who isn't. perfect, but very close. Brilliant.
Cinema.♥
I cried when hearing the uplifing high notes, all I have to say is that this was beautiful, absolutly beautiful.
I never thought I would say skrillex was music to my ears.....and here we are. Now, if only they added bangarang...my psyche would break with pure fucking joy
I Love ALL Kaleidoscope music, everything they all do. Their Brilliant.
This is amazing. First of the year sounds like something from Pirates of the Caribbean lol
Micro & Chedda piratestep
Manuel Escalera Exactly XD
that's what pirates listen now a days
First chair of the year..
Oboerang
Cymbala
Scary monsters and nice flutes
Purple trombone ghini
no, this shows how classical instruments can turn crazy dubstep tracks into melodic and amazing MUSIC
This is glorious. Who ever Steve Pycroft deserves an award. Or a tour. I would love to go to a classical concert of his.
omg... this ending made me cry... truly... I'm not joking or fishing for thumbs up... I just hope all the musicians of this video read this. Steve Pycroft deserves a grammy.
FIRST OF THE YEAR IS MY FAVOURITE,REALLY LOVE IT AND THIS IS AWESOME
Sonny Moore is truly the mozart of our generation!
7:40 very cool
cinema got me satisfied 😋😋😋
iBioxLasers me too bro
10 min of epic greatness
We absolutely need more of this type of music. Orchestras around the world, take heed!
you could make a whole movie with this score
I actually came looking for a live version of the Skrillex Orchestral Suite on his Bangarang album....
I've probably listened to this 20 times in the past two days. It's amazing and I really prefer this version to the other one. Favourited; shared and liked :D
Keep it up! :D
Dear internet: this is an example of where it is appropriate to use the word "epic".
Technically, if the band of musicians were crossing the country, then it be the most appropriate use of 'epic'.
Duke Travers They could be in a trailer. We can't be certain.
THIS is why i love being a violinist, because we can create music like this!!! love it!!
This makes me cry and feel brave .. GREAT MUSICIANS !!
ohhhh me quede impactada¡¡¡¡¡ ME ENCANTO
Some parts sound like it out of a horror movie, which is awesomely dark :D
I'm aware this is an old comment, sorry to necropost.
If you love this sort of darker blending of orchestral music that sounds like it should be in a horror film or similiar. I would love to recommend you SepticFlesh (they are a metal orchestral band) but look up their orchestral works.
Its honestly amazing, full philharmonic of Prague plus child choirs, composed in such a manner that both the metal and the orchestra compliment each other rather than one backing the other.
They have orchestral only tracks if you are not a fan for the metal flavors and they are really cool.
Just saw your comment amongst many others and wanted to share.
Sorry for commenting on an old comment, but it's always worth sharing good music I think.
Very nice orchestral presentation of Skrillex Dusbteps Musics Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhwwww.. Cinema was like an emotional introduction for a movie, and at the chorus part was like an intense scene of a movie WOWWW SO WOWWWW!!!
3:33 at the apex of this part i imagine skrillex running desperate from the "scary monsters" along with the "nice sprites"
This is just amazing.
when the drop kicks in............ i feel joy
Why does this video only have 267,068 views (at time of writing)?? This is the kind of art that deserves to go viral, the talent on show is astounding!
I put my headphones on, sit back and close my eyes, trying to hear every sound... I've never felt so relaxed in my life.
3:07 gets me always
same
OH, i forgot to breathe
This sounds more like a Skrillex Orchestral Mashup, which I enjoyed so much. And it makes me want to listen to more of Skrillex's music as an orchestral version. It's so soothing, really thought out, and generally great. I remember when he posted this on Facebook. So this is my second time watching it again.
I'm stoned & this video sounds like heaven.
Who says that dubstep isn't music???
I think it has the potential to be a great style but the problem is when people create it they are satisfied with wobble bass sounds, instead of musicality, and awesome wobble bass sounds!
vballmusicGod WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB. WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB? WUB WUB WUB WUB ad infinitum.
It's so huge and badass I don't even know if there's an actual note being played.
newvultraz Well, there are notes being played. The wub sound is a modulation of the filter frequency or pitch (2 different things) which may cause confusion.
i know that im just saying that people don't care about the theory and expressiveness behind the actually music when they make this dubstep WUBWUBWUBWUBWUB stuff
The point is... Dubstep is really easy to produce.
Dubstep is music as like as a fart is music. To produce dubstep as orchestra is much more work than producing a orchestra into dubstep.
I NEED TO LEARN THIS ON THE VIOLIN.
shows that dubstep, skrillex etc isnt just noise, it has been composed brilliantly.
If my music program in high school was like this where they played popular music like this, especially music from a COMPLETELY different genre, I would have stuck with it a lot longer than I did. Awesome job guys.
Make more magic like this please.
I want to play this in orchestra
Wicked good, your tribute to Keith Flint is stunning aswel
Piece of art !
fucking fantastic
The only thing missing is percussion. Give em a bass drum, few timpanis, snares and cymbals (maybe a drumset) and it'd really complete the sound, give it some body. :)
i know right i may be a heavy metal lover but this is the most beautiful sounding music when you really want to listen to something real
i full-heartedly respect all of the works of these musicians, but it is one thing to create than it is to learn.
Biggest hipster award goes to the conductor.
Cormac Littleton he is awesome isn’t he I am absolutely in love and amused what an art love it he is phenomenal
*nice music*, DROP THE BASS wa wa wunt wunt wunt wdaaa
when they brought cinema in....amazing
this needs to be placed in the epic genre of music
6:04 the brass section should have practiced a little bit more to get some of the notes out.
From something like this I'd expect you guys to at least dabble a bit on "With You, Friends" or "Voltage", that would've been perfect
Just like Dubstep, I bet this sounds amazing live.
Hollywood should invest in this mix for movies, I swear.
a synthesizer, no matter if emulated on a computer or actually analog IS a real instruments. And most electronic artists play their melodies on actual MIDI keyboards with their hands. And learning all this arrangement and sound design stuff thats required in electronic music also takes looooots of time and dedication.
There is no such thing as "real" music. Every kind of music is real, no matter how it was made. Electronic music simply requires and expresses different skills as "acoustic" music
This isn't dubstep....
Nobody dropped the bass XD
Lol
Ther's a double bass.
correction no one dropped the double bass
The 'conductor' looks like he's pipped a few pulls and thinks he's at a rave... He isn't a real conductor
And I don't believe for one minute this was a continually take...
I'm pretty sure he wrote the arrangement so he can dress however the fuck he wants.
Oh, that flute! It made goose bumps on my skin!
i love the part from 5:20 to 6:00 when the fluets are having this awsome melody.... ♥
Nope.
The players are amazing, the music sounds beautiful, but it's just nowhere near close enough. It just sounds like a classical composition. The tones are two soft, there is much less attack on the notes.
Yeah yeah yeah, I get it, it's not meant to sound like dubstep. But what if we really DID lose all digital technology, how would we play this....? (queue loud chorus of angry comments begin replying that that WILL NEVER HAPPEN)
Why didn't they use drums with this? Every time I see classical performed they never use that shit... I wonder why. It would be so cool. The drumming is usually reeeeeeeeally boring, if there is any. 1 and 1 and 1 and 1 and 1 and 1...
+Alex Banman A guy named Ryan Knott is the best answer to your question. He made an astounding Bangarang cover. Came here from there. I've gotta say, I agree with you.
It’s because mostly people like to compose using the old way of thinking of music. When classical music was the thing, drums were very secondary. It was only after industrialisation that drums started appearing.
elegance, stunning, what else?? i absolutely like it!
The first part of cinema ❤️
The "bass" drop for cinema was pretty damn good :D
no other orchestra can be better and if Skrillex is watching this he would be happy and proud these people should haven't any dislikes also should be very known for every song they do you guys are the VERY BEST OF THE BEST
This is beautiful. I'd rather listen to this than the actual thing. I have more goose bumps on my arms listening to this.
This is epic skrillex, its the best remix ever of his music...sends chills all over listening to it
You know what would be really cool @youtube. To see this as a whole Flashmob happen in the middle of plaza or in Atlanta somewhere 🙂
nice.. i really love edm .. but with suit and tie with conductor.. its amazing!
This video is an "In your face" to every person who claims that skrillex isn't a great composer... Great work by Pycroft and the whole orcestra!!
Wirklich sehr schön gespielt!!! Danke an alle!!!!
Those french horns are amazing.
this needs to be in a movie.
If you'd show this to someone who's not into dubstep and wouldn't tell him it's skrillex's, they'd totally dig it.
Beautifully moving
That's better than most movie scores.
I should REALLY tell my orchestra conductor about this...this...masterpiece!
All I pictured was some of the scenes from Band of Brothers or any other WWII Film for that matter..
Simply amazing!
Really a perfect work, skrillex recorded a orchestra version of bangarang album, and that is awesome too!
I cried, it's awesome.
One of the best sing i ever listened.
You are ... An orchestra... A musical treasure ...
The job of the conductor is two-fold: first, the conductor sets the tempo of the music for the performers.
Secondly -- and more importantly, the conductor molds the overall character of the performance by signaling to the performers how to play their parts. So not only is the conductor responsible for the balance of the instruments, but they're also responsible for shaping the emotional result.
Would've loved to hear Ruffneck. That is a symphonic masterpiece.
Absolutely. An oboe (not a clarinet) is very similar in timbre to what snake charmers would use in their performances.
Love those flutes.
This is amazing 👏
All of this started with the 'amen break'... and look where we are now.
this performance goes really great for a movie soundtrack
Today I was having a band geek moment and thought it would've been really fun to play Skrillex - Cinema in a concert band. Thank you Kaleidoscope for reading my mind a year ago. :)
It seems odd that what was at some point considered annoying music (to most people) fits so good in this configuration! Loved it! I just wished it was recorded professionally to have multiple eargasms wearing headphones.
This is my favorite orchestral dubstep yet
