Originally this was build at Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ) as NISSAN carrier 1 tonner with Petrol Engine, only at the last phase they may be tried with Diesel engine. Petrol engine was the same engine as used in famous "JONGA" which was officially named as NISSAN PATROL one tonner. Both are like beast. Both were designed initially at 1945 by Japan. Jonga was highly liked by Indian Armed Forces, specially the Indian Army.
