You don’t have no friends, you have a best friend and that is invaluable. If we have one real friend we are truly blessed. ❤

Hi Lauren, I get you and I have walked pretty much alone for most of my life (49) People come & go and I let them as I did in the past run after people and realised that that never works. Had a burn out last year and got back on my feet again and also realised that work is a scam and I am more important, many people learn this too late in life just like I did. Anyways nice video and nice life philosophy you have good luck 😌

@@pd6923 Hey Pete! Thanks so much for your comment! I have been there as well, chasing people who leave, mostly from misunderstanding. But I've learned that sometimes people are committed to misunderstanding you when they have decided to move on with their lives without you in it. And thats okay too. I don't ever chase after anyone anymore either. I'm glad you've realized that never works out for us as well. You ARE more important than work, its not worth sacrifing our health for. I'm thankful to have learned that at a young age, although I was forced to learn it through my health challenges, but thats a bright side I can be greatful for, to have learned these lessons so young. Sending you so much love and healing! 🥰

I am in between introvert and extrovert. I used to not like shallow friendships but I am learning to like it and get used to it. I think even if you talk to someone on a surface level, you still feel good internally talking to someone. I also realized it is important to learn to have a small talk and doesn't have to be too deep. Although I would like deep conversations now I am becoming little more self sufficient and I started appreciating small talk as well.

@@EvaCFricke Hey, thanks for your comment! I feel the same way. I small talk very well with coworkers, acquaintances, etc. I know there is value in it and I agree it is a necessary part of life to participate in these shallow relationships on some level. But I'm focusing more here people I choose to spend my limited free time and energy with on a regular, weekly basis. I don't choose to spend my weekly time with people in my social circle who are surface-level acquaintances or who are always taking advantage of me or one-sided caring and effort like I've experienced in the past. I'm not saying I don't associate with people out in the world at all unless there is deep, meaningful friendship. But out of the people I choose to spend my life with, those relationships need to be deep and mutual for me.

It is you (and me!) - and that's a good thing. It indicates personal growth right? You're the age of your first Saturn return and I've just come through my Uranus opposition - both times of potential personal growth depending on the situation/choices at hand. The time between leaving my old ways/friends behind and finding my new groove has definitely been uncomfortable, but my nervous system is benefiting big time!

Are you too picky? Absolutely NOT! I am selective, as well, and an HSP, so I bring very few people into my inner circle. I started my YT channel, in part, to create a positive community. I deal with isolation at times because I’m not able to get out as much as I like, due to illness, so one thing I’ve done is working on getting a light weight electric wheelchair through my insurance company. This will allow me more access to social activities. Still waiting to hear back from the insurance company. Keep on being you, Lauren!🥰

😂 we could be great friends. Yes, you’re picky. So am I. I have learned to spend time like money. Invest wisely. I need depth. I have it with my sister, thank God!
