It is the best Star Wars of all time. The entire Star Wars universe should be run and remade by these guys (Except for Empire Strikes Back which is the only other thing on Andors level).

I made a mistake. I gave this series a chance just two days ago...and now I binged watched all 11 episodes before I knew what happened. It sucks you in so easily. The best I can describe it is "What if Star Wars had real people in it?" No light sabers vs. hundreds of droids, no thousands of star destroyers rising from the planet surface...just real world building with plausible people. That's all we want. We want to watch Star Wars without having to say "Oh C'mon".

In spite of all the rewrites and reshoots and production chaos of Rogue One, it still came out one of the best post-Lucas Star Wars movies to date. One of the biggest complaints was that the characters lacked depth (I didn’t think so) but hopefully this show helps flesh out Rogue One’s major character, Cassian Andor!
My complaint for that movie is how boring the entire thing was, i didn't like most of the movie the best part was literally the Vader scene

Here to say I share the same sentiment. Why was I an emotional wreck a the closing montage on episode 3?!! And episode 6, my god, what an episode. And it just keeps blossoming into something I was not expecting at all. A show about a minor character in Rogue One, it just sounded like it was going to be just another mediocre Disney product.
Now, even though I’m only on episode 8, this is premium television that feels like an HBO show mixed with prestige BBC tv, but set in a Star Wars universe. Never thought that was even possible and now, I’m excited to see how tv can shift after the wonderful example this series has turned out to be. Just top quality stuff that really took me by surprise. Faith in SW has been restored.

honest opinion: i think this show has the potential to be one of the best received star wars shows bc ppl don’t have unrealistic expectations, these are lesser known characters that have room to surprise us, not mount rushmore level characters that have to live up to the unbelievable hype
Thats part of it but visually this also looks waay better than something like kenobi. I think even people that liked kenobi can admit the show looked and felt cheap compared to how andor is looking
Unrealistic expectations have nothing to do with why previous Star Wars efforts weren’t well received.

One of the things is that this show has minimal volume , volume is good it's just hard to use when it's new .

I'm loving the dialog so far. I think this is it. This is the one.
I don't mind seeing a jedi in this but the problem with them is they are absurdly skilled in one scene then conveniently inept when the plot needed it.

I believe this is to be a way more carefully planned and designed background for the show than any other so far. And its all cinematic which creates high expectations and I can't lie I am hyped for this one

This is Star Wars for adults. And I'm all here for it. High stakes drama with technical dialogue that doesn't spell things out for you. I appreciate this bold take on Star Wars a lot more than Mandalorian.

Episode 10 was spectacular. Each episode gets better and get better. I can’t imagine how great the last 2 episodes are going to be.
People can moan about the pace all they like, but this is the only Star Wars show that I am genuinely looking forward to each week

Disney, please make more Star Wars like Andor.
This is the type of intensity and dark realism I want in Star Wars. Show us how it truly is like. As dark as it should be. It's the best that may happen to the franchise.
"Dark and realistic" are themselves unrealistic, because life is never that extreame, at least not always, and in fact has been misconceived as being "superior" in media since the 90's.
Plus Star Wars has never meant to be a drab dismal experiance, just look at how well the introduction of the Yuzang Vong in Legends went over.
This show will be what it will be, but it is Still supposed to be Star Wars, a heroic fantasy story with a sci-fi coat of paint.

However, the last Star Wars project George worked on was Clone Wars, and if that show proves anything it's that Star Wars can work in many different genres and tones. The show can be anywhere from ridiculously goofy to surprisingly dark.
Star Wars is a big universe, and think there is room for different artistic takes. They won't all be everybody's cup of tea, but that's okay too.
Andor is looking very high quality like Rogue One so far, probably even grittier with desperate stakes! Love the Prometheus/Alien:Covenant/Arrival hue of this! The line of Stellan Skarsgård that he WILL die in this but might as well give it his all was sad but hard-hitting! Also surprised Martine from Morbius is in this!

Really like Andor as a character. Finger's crossed Disney get this right and the show producer's actually have grasp on what Star Wars is.

Basically the adult version of Star Wars Rebels. I love the setting of the early rebellions going from a scattered collection of terrorists, resistance cells, and political idealists and it being transformed into a rebellion that can challenge the Empire in open warfare.

Best Star Wars content in years! While the marvel crowd probably won't like this, disney made a great move by catering to the fans who were aching for this darker, realer side of Star Wars.
"From the creators of Rogue One" - now that's something to get excited about. Rogue One was easily the best Disney Star Wars movie to be released. It captured the spirit of A New Hope, but it also innovated and expanded the universe in meaningful ways. Not to mention it had superb attention to detail such as Jyn Erso gripping her kyber crystal necklace while waiting for access to Scarif.
Yeah dude people talk smack and say”the only good scene was the vader scene” but actually the entire movie was pretty good they really portrayed fighting a losing battle pretty well

Rogue One was an awesome movie and really took me back to seeing Star Wars for the first time. Trouble is… I’ve lost all faith in Disney Star Wars. I cannot believe Andor will not be woke rubbish. Would absolutely love to be proved wrong though.

I mean I might be forgetting a lot of things but as far as shows and movies there’s like that subtle potential romance between Ahsoka and one of those two super annoying sisters but that’s not really woke especially with how little it really changes the story. I would actually love examples of Star Wars being woke, I very well could be wrong. Sorry for the paragraph of writing though.

The series nobody asked for, yet manages to catch our attention on a great scale. The stakes that I feel in this trailer really have me beckoning for more.
Out of all the Disney + shows of Star Wars released Andor is my most hyped. I loved his character in Rogue One. I am excited to see this and having Mon Mothma aswell back is brilliant. I look forward to this.
I hope this turns out really good, I really like the Clone Storm Troopers.

God Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars movie, and to see them explore those characters and the rebellion more in a spy/thriller show is AMAZING

I watched the trailer every week just because I was excited, and I was only spoiled by two things, but even then they were awesome and only constituted 3 seconds of the episode

RO felt like a proper war movie instead of an action/adventure like the rest (imo it would still work if it was set, say, in WW2), I really enjoyed it. Looking foward to this.

Das wird einige alte Fans mehr als überzeugen. Die Szenen, die Schauspieler, so durchgehend stimmig war Star Wars bislang selten. Hoffentlich setzt sich die Machart, in der die Figuren in den Vordergrund rücken und die Erzählweise realistisch und düster wirkt, langfristig durch. Ich liebe die Serie. Danke 🙏😭
