Mitch is a class act. True asset to the industry.
MXA And Villo... legends 🙌
Most entertaining rider to watch since RC, incredible rider.
ET3 when beastmode is enabled?
JAMES
Jason Anderson is the one to watch, that dude looks almost out of control but with style. Et3 and Rv are the ones I personally have rooted for over the last decade but watch Anderson ride,
RV and JS7 have the same riding style; wild and loose.
Also Don't Forget Blake Bagget befor he got injured ..
Awesome racer right here, definitely fun to watch. One of the best. Love seeing you in the 125cc too. Made me buy a new one just for fun.
quadcityracing me too 😁
Last kawi interview?
i used to race with him, i think he used to ride 125 or 175s? being in the line during those days, i started next to mitch mayes on his last ride, week or 2 earlier (not quite sure about the date,) was sitting under an awning after a race with some checkers, and mitch M rode up on his new 360 or 400, 510 Husqvarna and jim sumners took it for a ride and hit some recent wash outs and fractured/dislocated both wrist so bad that ended his motorcycle career that day, they looked mangled, his hands both were offset at least half the width or more of his wrist. seen john taylor (checkers mc) die of internal injuries on the day that his 18 yr old son came from texas and hadn't seen his dad in over 15 yrs or something like that, right after the start searls station, i got a front flat and kept going and rescue 3 was stationed at some pretty big ditches, and they were working on john. went back to the pits and was the one that had to break the news to his son. desert racing, laying flat on the tank wide open gets crazy sometimes. i hit a boulder going at lease 55mph as tall as a pick nick bench square on, hit the ground, didn't know which way to go, or how i got there.
Pick three riders and teams all time if you had to win.
Everyone would have RV2 & Pro Circuit on their list.
P Bau it wouldn’t even matter what team he was on. He was naturally so fast. I think he could make it in any factory team.
@@Sackmatters totally agree so mentally tough it wouldnt have mattered
RV on a 250 at Motocross of Nations was something else, he was in his own league during those years.
RC and Goose and DeCoster's Suzuki team; Bob Hannah and Keith McCarty and Team Yamaha.
@@gerrywagoner26 I was just getting into following mx when The Hurricane went to Suzuki. I remember he won Unadilla yet. I'll have to see if there is any video of him on here.
RV should train really hard during this shut down, and pop up at the first pro race back. He’d be all in the head of riders. 😂🤣
Tide16nc lol. No he wouldn’t be in the heads of anyone. He’s 31 and got smoked at MEC. If he was 28 and dedicated maybe an entire year to training maybe he’d be competitive but he’d be a 9th-14th place guy at best in supercross and 12th-20th I’m outdoors. Nobody would worry.
No he would not. RV himself was shocked at the speeds now when he came back for MEC. He admitted as much. Competitive athletes are always standing on the shoulders of those before them. Always advancing. You really can not be away for ears, and come back where you were. It would take RV 2+ years working as hard as he ever worked to get top 5. He is not going to do that.
He should drink beer and snort some lines and still smoke these fools.
@@seaeff6428 U act like hes 50. I dont think he would 14th...
@@brettbutler9730 today he be outside top 10 in Mx and and SX, he’s 50 lbs more than he was when he was racing. It’s been nearly a decade since he raced.
Mitch builds champions !
Had friends in HS that rode for your grandfather at Fred's Desert Cycle in Tucson. Bones was a customer of my shop in the 70s. Sam Redman is good friend. Congrats on a great career.
I still do not understand how Kawie could give RV such a raw deal after he spent his whole career with them? What a great person and a greater champion!
Use 'em up - spit 'em out. Honda has done worse.
what did they do?
adam bennett have you seen who the spokes person is in Kawasaki commercials, science of motocross etc ?
He couldn’t contend with the top dogs though when he did mxgp!!! Big dogs only 👊🏻
@@mrmylo1239 haha he got hurt
When MITCH PAYTON says you should buy one or ANYTHING MOTO RELATED , that’s A N Y T H I N G ! YOU DAMN WELL BUY IT! Thanks Mitch I LOVE THE YOUR AMAZING EMPIRE ! Thankyou !
i like RV but buying a Yamaha 2 stroke....seriously? they are so dated it's just not funny......buy a KTM, Husky or Gas Gas.
Vary Cool !! getting some insight, loved watching him in WA growing up so Talented 👍
Ryan could win 2 more championships for sure!He retired when he still was on top!
Cool stories from RV both really cool dudes!!
When I lived in SoCal for a few years, I had a chance to visit the PRO CIRCUIT Headquarters show room. Walking through the showroom and looking at all the championship winning bikes on display is kind of like a surreal experience. You can just feel the incredible amount of history in that room.
MITCH PEYTON is a MOTO-X GOD !
The man..the myth..The Legend! #Rv2
Villopoto is the rider who didn´t do it for fun, just for the winning and it was a job for him!
True he says that but he does it to this day for fun so it had to be a little fun! But all in all, he kept it smart and knew and did his job with incredible success and was so fun to watch! Wish we couldve seen a couple more years from him! Not like the competition was that close to take him down.
Why did you goto Yamaha ? Was it because Kawasaki no longer makes a 125 2stroke & you started racing the all stars race? Dammit the moto world still needs 2strokes besides Yamaha,KTM and Husky. If Kawasaki still produced a 250 2stroke I would buy 1in a heartbeat .
Same with Honda
@@barrymccockaner6094 Yeah I just bought a 01 Cr250 I prefer the Kx250 but I got a sweet deal on the Cr that I couldn't pass up. $700
Fantastic for offroad/enduro
Promptly remove this comment or we'll do it for you!
@@sickofalldabscensorship721 2001 was the last good year for the cr250 they ruined it after that with that God awful RC valve.
Get your leg over a KTM 250 SX, you won't want an old kx250 after that
I watched RV on 60s at Perris raceway he was faster than the big bike pro class. He strait snapped a chain pulled it into pieces..
Hope ypur mom and dad are good as well your uncle !
What I guy love to see you on the 125 really cool stuff👍👍👍
You know.
Wish u wus still Raceing Ryan you are the best #1
He kinda dated this interview when saying "and with straight Rhythm coming up" 2:22
So??
@@CB.5 you can tell its an older interview
@@kushpaladin Again so what?
@@CB.5 Was just saying incase anyone thought this was recent 👍
Is he still with Yamaha?
Too bad he & McGrath couldn't switch companies.
Amount of times he says « You know » is 3/4 of the interview
Great interview. 'Poto killed it. Mitch is a legend.
Both were ment to be friends . 🔥
ryan the best,i remember the 2012-13 season, often had some bad start and always get on front to win races, was an absolute blast to watch him on kawasaki, let time roll!
Toto Moto Poto!
Most boring rider in history besides dungey
because?
Vary Cool !! getting some insight, loved watching him in WA growing up so Talented 👍
By the numbers yes RC was the goat, when it comes to “badass” RV is my goat 🐐!!!!!!!
When RC was retiring I thought who is going to be the guy I really root for. I was at Hangtown when RV and Jason Lawerence got into it in practice. RV put his front wheel in Lawerence's face and then they both got into a tussle. I thought, hmm, this Villopoto kid has grit. He's been my guy ever since.
Seen in in the U.K. on the 250 at Des Nations, awesome to watch.
7 people who could not read hit unlike instead of liked haha
This video must be at least a year old.
Ryan could of been the goat if he didn't leave early
and I dont mean opinion wise I mean by numbers i liked his style but he messed up leaving
Dillon Green ryan is the goat
Ricky is the goat
Definitely. I've said it before. RV in his prime could smoke the current riders, even Tomac outdoors.
@@snowpirate1619 Idk about that. Tomac would kick his ass
@@kushpaladin Lmao, bandwagon hardcore. No doubt about that if you think prime eli would smoke prime rv
we need yz125 race piston please!!!!!!
Not a fan.
Alex, what is air conditioner?
am i the only one who think he retired waaay to early?
No way: he quit while he was on top. What a better time to go? He won several top championships, made his money gave himself tons of options, and is still healthy. That's huge in the motocross industry. He's living and loving life. What a lucky guy. ,
Anthony Davis ye but of he won like 2-3 more he would have been the goat
Jesper Blomqvist he was one sx championship behind Ricky 3 behind McGrath and 5 outdoor titles behind Ricky. He was getting older(for moto) and injures we’re starting to catch up. He could have maybe won 1 or 2 more championships but it would’ve have been tough and that wouldn’t have made him the goat. Nobody will ever touch rickys accomplishments. Love him or hate him Ricky is in a league of his own.
cameron floyd No record Stands for ever, and i think you are wrong but thats my opinion
Jesper Blomqvist it’s so competitive now with so many guys that can win on any given weekend. Let’s just say this. Tomac is older right than Ricky was when he retired. Roczen had the best chance by winning outdoors at 20 years old. Yes records are meant to be broken but it’s very very unlikely anyone comes close to breaking any Carmichael records outdoors. Let’s just say this in rickys last 66 outdoors races he won the overall in 60 of them and and got second in 5 of them. Nobody will touch that. 2 perfect seasons. 7 straight championships. Outdoors he had an average finish of better than second place. I just don’t see it ever happening. Tomac isn’t even half way to rickys records. Roczens not close. So that’s my opinion.
My favorite racer since DeCoster.
Love Roger DeCoster, you must be old school, like myself.👍🏽
@@kyzor-sosay6087 Yeah, defiantly old school! I only got to see DeCoster race once, Sears Point Trans Am 1976. I stood a few feet away from him at the podium and thought he was just this larger than life moto god.
Fast forward 40 years later, KTM used to have a thing called the "KTM fan experience." Special ticket you got to meet the riders on Friday at the KTM rig day before the race. Everyone is relaxed, no race day stress. Very cool.
My buddy and I go and all the young people want to meet Dungy and the rest of the KTM riders. I just wanted to meet DeCoster and talk to him. He gave me and my friend a personal tour of the KTM rig for a half hour, just the 3 of us. We talked a little about racing old days but mostly about life. We had him laughing out loud about living in Japan using Japanese toilets and such. The KTM girl who ran the KTM fan operations said, "I've never seen Roger laugh out loud like that before!"
Once in a life time experience.
@@FlashCadallic I got to see Roger DeCoster race in StPetersburg ,Mo.When I was 16,my uncle took me,made me drive while he drank beer,Heiki, was there Tony D was if remember correctly.I’m 60,now.Took my sons to Atlanta, got Rogers autograph he was in Pastranas pits.Love this shit, man.
Good luck and good health to you and your family.
dude looks hungover
Take the stupid hats off, guys...
Why
Is RV hinting at a Yamaha Pro circuit team with the testing!?
No, he gives Yamaha a blueprint for the production bike.
Vary Cool 😎
Et is a better rider than rv
