    Thanx for doing this! I can’t wait for mine to get here! BTW- in the battle of wet vs dry signal, I just got an OBNE Signal Blender for this and MOOD and Generation Loss-

      This vid doesn't even really scratch the surface. Didn't have enough battery on my phone to spend time twisting knobs for each of the presets. It's a nutty alien beast for sure. I'll keep posting videos as best I can.

    does it change the dry signal the way that infinite jets did? that was a deal-breaker for me. i had to send it back

      I haven't played with that enough with Gain... which is where I recall noticing it the most on the IJ. You do have the normal kinda 'battle of the mix' tho for dry vs the effected, which the BOSS SY-1 really suffers from IMO.
      I'll see if i can figure out the expression pedal to control the mix and maybe that'll help provide some guidance?

      OK... Vid coming shortly on my findings. It might affect a little, but not nearly as badly as the IJ. I'll let you decide.
      But with the IJ like even if it was just ON it felt like it was affecting my tone. With this if you kill the wet from the mix... it seemed just fine.

    Is there anything you don’t like about it ?

      Hard to say at this point. This vid was literally my first 20 minutes with it. I spent maybe another 15 with it before I had to get back to working on some things, but still haven't sat down with it an a manual to really dig into it.
      I was able to find some sounds immediately that I feel like I could use. There were others where I think I'll have to do some digging. If anything just to understand how the various envelopes and gates are set on them that respond to your signal.
      This thing is practically an instrument in an of itself.

      Iodine74 thanks man
      I’m surprised by how little content there is out there on this pedal - looking forward to more vids on it

      @@KunchangLeeMusic It'll ramp up over the next week or so as they start getting into the hands of people.
      I just spent another 30-45 minutes with it (still without looking at the manual) and kinda a mixed bag. It's bit of an enigma in ways. I was trying to just get a better understanding of the controls and the 'base' level effects (ie without the verb, or filter or the repeat knob)... and it's pretty apparent they are fairly critical to some of the sounds... I just kinda wasn't expecting that.
      I also still need to look into the phrase sampler more as well as the looper. haven't even scratched the surface there.

      Iodine74 yeah from what I’ve seen so far (very limited) the pedal seems to lean on the side of “too unruly” like it’s hard to dial in usable sounds without the pedal being too chaotic or going haywire - I hope that’s not the case and maybe some demos will address that -

    • @Iodine74
      @Iodine74  4 года назад +1

      Some of the modes are much more usable than others, that's for sure. It seems like there are some that are retriggered and it's hard to get used to those (at least for me)

  • @amrelseweifi5640

    Do you think you can demo the reverse? I'd appreciate that.

    • @Iodine74
      @Iodine74  4 года назад

      I've got to figure out the looper first. ;)
      There's no mode that is only reverse. There are a couple of them where the microsample is reversed really quickly. But its definitely not a reverse reverb or reverse delay type thing.

    • @Iodine74
      @Iodine74  4 года назад

      If listen to about the 6:30 mark where I cover the 'glide' you'll hear what I'm referring to when I say the microsample is reversed for a sec, and to be honestly with you, I"m not sure that's even happening, I think it's just a quick pitch bend then back to normal.

      @@Iodine74 I think Amr ment this one (got this out of the manual): "PRESET SELECTOR FUNCTIONS: FWD/REV: Press down on the Preset Selector to reverse effect playback. Indicator Lights animate to reflect playback direction."

    • @Iodine74
      @Iodine74  4 года назад +1

      @@niki2386 I'll check that out. Off the top of my head I'm betting that's the flow of the effect tho, not your signal, if that makes sense. Alot of the effects in this things are treatments that 'pulse' in a certain order... and I'm wondering if the reverse just means that the pulsing is in reverse. Like on some of the arp settings where normally it might start with an octave up shifted note, go thru a few other shifts and end in and octave down... that in reverse it would start with the octave down, do the other notes in reverse sequence and end with the octave up.

      @@niki2386 I completely missed this feature. LOL. Even tonight when i was messing around it for a second go-round I missed it. I did monkey with the looper and it's reverse for a second tho. And also have gotten a bit better grasp on the fact that some of the effects you really just need to do the sample/hold and then let it do it's thing.
      Tomorrow I'll try and get a vid of the reversing of the effect cause I'm really curious about it now.
      And I did actually discover tonight that you can get a reverse reverb type sound from it thanks to the Multitap Warp effect and setting the envelope to ramp up. Posted a vid if anyone is curious.
