Great words of wisdom. We had a coach who did several of those things you said not to do: on his phone during lessons, often came late …but the one that finally made us change coaches was that he would criticize my son’s mechanics without teaching the correct way or giving drills to help. He would say “why do you keep doing that? Didn’t you listen to anything I just said?” But much of tennis comes from drills practicing proper mechanics, not lecturing.
@bpxl53yewz29, you're absolutely right! A good coach should offer solutions, not just point out problems. Drills are key to building muscle memory for those proper mechanics. Glad you found a better fit for your son!
