mine too 😭 idk if it’s just a coincidence but i find if i’m very hydrated my skin is a little bit less inflamed sometimes, can’t confirm that’s the cause tho
I live in “tomato chic” skin (due to MCAS). But that’s not the point. 😅 I just did this to myself this weekend, and I have naked-faced surgery on Wednesday, and I look like a purpling tomato with bumps all over. However, I did patch test in three areas (my usual approach): behind an ear, inner wrist, AND a spot on my jawline near the ear. No problems! But once I slathered that sucker on my face… it was like I poured acid on it. I washed it off quickly, but the next morning I still looked like hell. Add in the “histamine spots” all over my forehead and temples from walking in moderate sunlight for 15 minutes, and I look like a hot mess…. 😑
I found out I was allergic to the new HEV blue light filter by Avène after I put it all over for a summer day trip. I had hives all over my arms and legs, face, and neck. I thought cause it was for sensitive skin it would be fine but nope still need to patch test. I can wear the other Avène sunscreens though and like their sport fluid.
@@ines9354 the fact that it irritated shereene does not make the product irritating. You may learn that not all products work for all of us and even products that do, may not be working in certain days when we're stressed, ovulating, having pms or our period, being tired etc. The products are not irritating because they happen to irritate me or you, is what I'm trying to point out here
I do patch test and it turns out fine but my facial skin still reacts to certain products that is otherwise for the rest of the body. My dermat asked me to not exfoliate or use retinol in winters ..which i am following..I wonder how long and what else can I do to avoid this situation despite the patch test?
same I have the same issues the patch tests are fine and then once I start using them on my face they burn or cause me to break out and its like days after the original patch test lol
Personally the cicaplast balm has been like a miracle to my sensitive tomato skin, especially the cheeks. I apply it first then follow up with cerave moisturizer to seal it and wake up looking much better. You should identify what triggers the redness to be able to treat it so good luck to you ☺️
Krave beauty the reset serum or whatever (green bottle) was literally life changing for me Also the cica cream from avene it’s expensive and kinda has a sunscreen consistency but it is also nice
I appreciate you sharing your mistakes. If a derm makes silly skincare mistakes, then it’s okay when I make them, too. 😊
I just get way too excited to try out a new product 😭😭
Same !!!!
Tomato chic🤣🤣
This is what my skin looks like most days…🤦🏻♀️
Omg same 😢
Same as you 😢
mine too 😭 idk if it’s just a coincidence but i find if i’m very hydrated my skin is a little bit less inflamed sometimes, can’t confirm that’s the cause tho

Hello fellow allergic to sun comrade

I did that. Had to wear green concealer to hide it.
Where do you typically patch test? On a small part on your face? Or arm, hand, etc?
Small patch of your neck below your ears.
But what was the product?! 😮
We've all been here 😅

How to calm that back down. I’m tomato chique at the moment.

Tomato chic. 😂
You were not even a tomato cheek. Trust me having a bit of cheeks is very attractive. People are having cheek fillers for that.
