Thanks for doing the testing and sharing it with us Smokey. I've found the same in my area, normal ground setting will give phantom signals all over the place. You do have to love Minelab's thought process.... "We'll made a very sensitive metal detector that will require a lot of noise cancels during the day." "So we will put the noise cancel button in easy reach right under the right hand thumb?" "How's this for an idea... We put it above a button that hardly ever gets pressed and if they press it by accident trying to do a noise cancel it will make them dig false signals for the next 10 minutes, you know, just for laughs." "Couldn't we just put the ground button on the left out of the way below the power button?" "Why the hell would we do that???"
Been awhile since you & Jo did a panning adventure, the 6 is partly waterproof to help you find the pay in the creek. Especially with all the rain we had hey,
Hey mate, yeah with all the rain about you’d think we’d get a pan wet but my back is better bent making money at work but we hope to get back in the creeks one day at the end of the year
Great to see you are enjoying the 6. I work in the GT Victoria and always use difficult on 9 and very very slow movement. I tend to miss loads going too fast. Cheers HH
Good test! Can only talk the 7000 but it’s the same here in vic harder to use in normal but when you know your machine it does pick up the deeper targets that you miss in difficult.
Hi mate I went to Tibooburra a month ago found a good patch there I run my 6 on nine I went back over the same area in normal and was surprised I found more bits deeper 👍I’m from Maryborough Victoria it’s hard to run normal here
Awesome video crew , yes definitely more info packed videos when time permits you still need to find gold. Don't own a gpx6000 yet , so the best setting you used Difficult , threshold 9 Q : does Difficult still have automatic ground balance as your moving along ?
Hi, enjoy your videos. Is it possible to compare the gpx6000 with the gpx5000 using same size coils. I couldn't justify the price of the gpx6000. So l have recently bought a gpx5000 with 14" coiltek elite. I didn't think the extra three thousand dollars of the gpx6000 was worth the minor improvement
Great demonstration Smokey and Jo. Cheers 🍻
Great clip

Haha, it does make one wonder. Glad you liked the clip mate 👍👍
Great day out fam. Keep on having fun and living the dream fam. Gold Squad Out!!!
Would be great to see what you change on the detectors and also compare with the older 5000.
Some people would not be able to upgrade to a 6 or 7.

This is a really good example of the 6 at work, well done and u r spot on u can train your ear to tune in on the 6 if u use it a lot 👍
Great vid mate. Can't wait to get my hands on one of them.
Gday mate, let me know when you get one, I’ll point you to a few places 👍👍

That’s great to know mate, I’m going to keep pushing it into normal if I can get away with it.
Please Smokey , can you do some tests with the 14" DD and compare it to the 11" mono and the settings too , just like you did then with the 11" mono.

That is a good question mate and I believe it does yes.
