Me and my sister used to love this game. One of the best games for the ps1.
Coco Bandicoot was always my favorite character and after her half-assed inclusion in Warped, being able to play as her full and clear with her own spin attack flipped my shit when I was a kid. XP

Dingodile and Nitrus Brio are my favorite characters in Crash Bash. Weird fact - If you choose to play either as N. Cortex or N. Brio, the other won't be picked up by AI. Never understood, why they can't be a part of the same gameplay unless it's a co-op game.

Wow i remember years ago i struggled completing all warp rooms up to past where you fight the Big polar bear boss. After that it was impossible. Miss this game soo much.
William Preston i know it's 3 years but you Can play on Pc by emulator, it's pretty simple and totally worth it.

This doesn't seem like a very optimized TAS, even if a couple years ago. Like on the fox and dash levels for example. It seems like they used save-states occasionally, but otherwise played normally and didn't make much of an attempt to go fast. TASes are all about risky manuvers, speed, and showboating. I mean, this is okay, but alot of it is pretty lack luster. Sorry.
Yeah this is basically a deathless run. This can be beaten by humans.

I started to TAS this game. If you still wanna the answer, here we go: First of all: this TAS is bad, him didn't manipulated the RNG, him just saved stated and played on slow FPS (what is a shame by a TAS). Second: to manipulate the "rng" (I prefer call "enemy cycles") you have to know: all that you do on the game (go to the right/left, press square, press triangle) will change the enemy cycle/angle of the ball that is going to the arena. So, to manipulate it, you have to test whole frames and see what is the best way to go :D

+mohammed al saffar My best guess is he has had an eye on the values assigned to the game somewhere, either with the emulator or cheatengine (not saying he cheated, but it can be used to observe values). It is a TAS after all, which is also why there weren't any mistakes made. This just happens to not be a very interesting game to watch a TAS of due to its repetitive nature and to my knowledge very little room to abuse glitches.
It's a TAS, so the author has access to save-states. Save-states are like the ability to rewind the game, so it's like you can know things will unfold later on. The author likely started off by hitting any of the mystery boxes, or otherwise watching to see which one contained a power up. Once they determined which box contained the power up, they then reverted to an earlier save-state and went directly to the box that produced the power up. It's also possible however (I'm not sure) that the boxes have a set 25% chance of providing a power up. In that case, they just keep rewinding on a particular box until they hit the 25% chance.
