Dental clinic suction pumps are available for 4-6K online, which adopt the right mechanism of collecting the body fluids in a container that needs to be emptied from time to time (and hopefully sterilized before reuse). This can be quite unhygienic and over time the pump housing will be a clubhouse of nasty microbes. Over time the microbe colony will spread along the pipe tubing. Slightly better, commercial use ones are available for around 8-10K too.
Very innovative and inspiring......will definitely try this hack ......sir one query regarding the sound produced during running of motor...is it very minor negligible?
Doc, This can be used to suction out any liquid from oral cavity either form air rotor, 3 way syringe, irrigation and scaler For alternatives to air compressor Pl drop question in our what's app group we the dentist Details of grp in the description box Ty
Sir i tried installing the set up as per told by you. But the suction is not very powerful. And also i have concealed this entire plumbing in a box so there are 2 bends in the inlet rubber pipe. Plz give a solution.
hello doc, please contact us on whats app, and share picture of your suction contact number is in description of the video we will help you out. thank you
Hi sir...I saw your video, interesting and impressive. Good innovation. I have some doubt 1)In Water pump converted suction unit... With less saliva input, does it damage water pump on long run ?.2) The suction power of 1 hp water pump( long tube)will it damage the soft tissues of oral cavity.. Pls clarify with your experience...
hello doc, it is definately not too noisy. sound will be similar to a fan or a two wheeler. or similar to the sound of the inbuilt pneumetic suction we get with our dental chair. also you can cover it with wooden cover to reduce the sound further. but any type of suction will produce low intensity sound. i hope this gives you more clearity on your doubt. thank you
hello doc, yes you can use pvc pipe. my reason to use metal pipes was, it can also be used as handle to hold or pick up the motirized suction, when ever required for cleaning its surroundings etc. but its not compulsory to use metal pipes
One big doubt that I have is...... All these water pumps are required not to run dry as per company instruction... So when we are continuously using it in oral cavity and the cavity becomes dry of saliva then will it damage the pump because there will be barely any fluid in the inlet pipe?
hello doc, good question. yes some water needs to stay in the pump. so when there is water or saliva in oral cavity we will use the suction to suck that fluid. and after this depending on your water flow or treatment that you are performing you can keep suction on or your chair side assistant can switch off the sution. that is why i have suggested in the video to keep the on off switch near to the chair side assistant's reach. i have tried and test both things keeping suction on and also repeatedly turning on and off while doing treatments. ( i prefer repeatedly turning it on and off as required ) they support both and have not adverse effect on the pump. as i have mentioned in the video, on very rare occasions if the suction power is reduced than you should clean the mesh from debris and if total suction power disappers and pump is still running, here you will have to add some water in the inlet pipe, the water in the pump will get refilled and suction will reappear. i hope this solves your query. still if you have more questions, feel free to contact us again
hello doc, yes dental chair do have suction, pneumatic suction. problem with it is, it uses air pressure from compressor to function so the total air gets divided between airrotor and suction thus long or multiple treatment might get effectec. pressure to air rotor reduce and leads to cartridge issues, etc. if you get a motorized suction now air pressure from compressor is for air rotor only thus longer and better funtion can be performed and cartridge issues can be avoided hope this clear out the doubt
doc, if your dental chairs are in one room and near or adjacent to each other your can use them on both the chairs. but cannot use them together on both the chair for suction in different oral cavity together. at a time you can use it on one chair only. i suggest you should use different suction on both the chairs. try to manage 3000rs additional in your buget.
doc, i am using this same pump since 10 years. my all 3 clinic have same motorized suction. i have never faced any such issues. also all pumps have capacitor to handle high voltage in case of some malfuction from power grid. if such shocks were even possible, we would feel such current in our home tap water when we use it to transfer ground water to overhead tank water. doc, i hope now you are convinced regarding its saftey. also doc in this channel every suggestion and jugaad has been tried and test for many years by me personally and by many of my students. so you can always trust the content of this channel. still you have any more questions, feel free to contact us. we will definately find a solution for you.

Is this type of motorised suction tooo noisy for a quiet clinic environment?
hello doc,
it is definately not too noisy.

but its not compulsory to use metal pipes
@@WeTheDentist ok thanks sir for the respond.. i will try to use pvc pipe..
Thank you sir for the nice explanation..
Can we use the motor used in water coolers which is economical and less noisy ?
doc, you cannot use those motors.
you require water pump only for this to work.

What is the length of the metal pipes? Thanks 👍
inlet pipe is around 8cm long.
try to keep it as short as possible.
outlet pipe is around 30cm long.
