ty mdot!
Hope there wasnt anyone illegal in those shipping containers
Probably not, wasn't the ship headed for Sri Lanka or some other nearby cesspool? Imagine all the rotting food and other living items.
This looks to be about a week old. What part does MDOT have in the clean-up?
It WAS their bridge.
That’s a 1000 foot ship with probably a thousand tons of steel on the bow. They not appear to be doing much, but things are moving at a good clip.
I didn't know that the Dali was a 1000 footer
@@michaeltaylor8835 It's something like 952 feet long.
@@michaeltaylor8835 it's actually a few feet short at 900+ feet.
The next Bay crossing need to be a Tunnel NO MORE BRIDGES
They did a study on that when it was built and decided that a bridge was better because you can't move hazmat in a tunnel.
@@rupe53 Not a very bright study, Tunnels Around the World, do not have that way of thinking you make the tunnel and cover All RTA, The Cannel tunnel from uk to france is 26 miles long two mage tunnels rail, three service tunnel, NOW the bridge has gone with loss of life.
@@johngodfrey-zv3po Still can't ship hazmat via tunnel in most of the USA. You are fighting city hall here.
@@rupe53 Then drive around the city instead. Didn't they just prove the stupidity of having a bridge where large ships sail?
@@Manigo1743 one hit in 47 years doesn't make a valid point, other than the bridge wasn't designed to take a hit that large... and there were no ships of that size when the bridge was built. Using your logic we shouldn't construct any tall buildings because we have airplanes.
Great video!!!
The wonderful drone of diesels operating at constant rpm.
One would think that , with that area being so important, this process would be going a little faster. ?
Just saying.
they should offload all the containers
That's around 2500 containers and more than a little work.
I'm sure they will offload everything when the boat gets back to the dock where they can do the job in a day or two.
What is going to happen to all those containers
They will probably be put on another boat and then off to their original destination... or at least anything that wasn't damages or perishable. The ship itself will need repair to be ready for the open ocean.
GET THEM DAMN PEOPLE OFF THAT BOAT! I WANT TO SEE INSIDE EACH SHIPPING CONTAINER. YOU SAY WHOOPSIE SOMETHING IN THE CONTAINER REACTED WITH THE EXPLOSIVES NOW THERE ARE NO WITNESSES AND THE COMPANY IS UNACCEPTABLE! NO THOSE PPL. OFF THE BOAT, TOMORROW!!!
YEAH! CUZ YOU SAYS SO!!
Must be a union job, notice how many men are just standing around not really doing anything?
Is this not one more Sues type Saboteur by China
Yes. Dr. Seuss was a Chinese Saboteur. Everybody knows that!
THIS IS TAKEN. TO
LONG !
Too long? What have you got to compare it to?
Notice how many men were standing around chatting, had their thumbs up their you know whats? Not very impressive but they sure are fleecing the taxpayers being on the payroll.
@@Andygarrett357 I guess you haven't been paying attention. This job will eventually be fully paid by insurance. (the clean up)
@@rupe53 Compared to the month they originally said it would take. It has been more than a month now.
@@Manigo1743 that "one month" time frame was speculation. The channels have been open to traffic for over a week, which I see as decent progress.
