"Si peh" or "si pek", and "wah lau" are actually Hokkien words, not a Malaysian English word. Hokkien is a Chinese vernacular language. "Leng zai" and "leng leoi" are words from Cantonese, a Chinese vernacular language.

Almost all of those words are Chinese dialect, not English words.. In Malaysia, we often add up 'lah' in a sentence depending on the suitability. For example, 'Its okay lah', 'No lah', 'Chill lah bro', 'I surrender lah' and so on..haha
Slumber . Mostly malay people use that. And what we mean is "just dont care" . And the spelling in malay is Selamba. *sorry for my bad english, i just try my best 😂

It's mostly come from the dialect and other language, it isn't English. And most of it they translate the pronunciation into alphabets. So don't misunderstand it. They love to use those mix wording because they feel fun on it.

tbh this is chinese english not malaysian english .i tell you the true Malaysian english . we always add "laa" in the end of almost every sentences . example "i don't know laa" " i think we should hv party tonight laa" sometimes we add "laa" in the middle of sentences like "please laa im better than you" "i dont know laa wht you're talkin bout" "come on laa hurry up we gonna be late" . Meaning of "laa" is .... i dont know how to explain this. It just that is the style we malaysian talk 😂😂😂 second, sometimes we direct translate and repeat the word/sentences to make the meaning of the word are equally understandably as Bahasa Melayu which is our mother tounge . example when you ask a direction from a malaysian they will speak like this "go staright go staright, first traffic light you turn left turn left , after that you see roundbout turn right then you ask somebody around there where to go next " 😂😂😂

This is my second comment. I give a few example what is Malaysian English.
* left is English. On the right the meaning in Malaysian English.
1) tackle = to woo (a woman)
2) chop 🔪 = rubber stamp
3) action = cocky
4) blur (or blur blur) = lapse of judgement
5) Aeroplane = someone told you wanted to come over but never arrive
6) cover line = you are doing something and your Friend keep an eye if someone is coming
You pronounced lengzai and walao wrong. Lengzai and lenglui means handsome GUY, pretty GIRL. Not just handsome or pretty. Tahan is in Bahasa not English

Mainly Chinese dialects such as Hokkien, Cantonese and Malay make up ‘Malaysia English’ or their everyday conversation. They are mixed up and are used at random. Lenglui and lengzai is cantonese. Tahan is probably Bahasa Malaya but they use it with English to give it their own unique style of colloquialism. I absolutely enjoyed this video Xiaoma, I’m also originally from Malaysia and it was interesting to see what New Yorkers think about other colloquial English.

Walau is a hokkien(chinese dialect) word meaning My Father. Malaysians and Singaporeans use it to exclaim "Oh my God!".
It's usually used to display anger or annoyance. Eg, Wah lau! My computer crashed again!".

Honestly thou i think slumber is pretty good Msian slang but all the others are just others languages pronounced the English way. Some good ones (in case your doing this again) would be action, gostan, blur, etc...
Almost all of those words are Chinese dialect, not English words.. In Malaysia, we often add up 'lah' in a sentence depending on the suitability. For example, 'Its okay lah', 'No lah', 'Chill lah bro', 'I surrender lah' and so on..haha

For those who called themselves Malaysian but don't even know or use the word slumber, believe me... most Malaysian used it. The word also can be found in Kamus Dewan, the official Malay language dictionary with a different spelling "selamba" but still pronounce the same as slumber.

Smart : beautiful, look good (We are going out in 15 minutes, so go wear something smart now)

Terror : really good at (something) (Don't worry, I'm really terror at this, we sure win lah!)

tbh this is chinese english not malaysian english .i tell you the true Malaysian english . we always add "laa" in the end of almost every sentences . example "i don't know laa" " i think we should hv party tonight laa" sometimes we add "laa" in the middle of sentences like "please laa im better than you" "i dont know laa wht you're talkin bout" "come on laa hurry up we gonna be late" .
Meaning of "laa" is .... i dont know how to explain this. It just that is the style we malaysian talk 😂😂😂
second, sometimes we direct translate and repeat the word/sentences to make the meaning of the word are equally understandably as Bahasa Melayu which is our mother tounge . example when you ask a direction from a malaysian they will speak like this "go staright go staright, first traffic light you turn left turn left , after that you see roundbout turn right then you ask somebody around there where to go next "
