Unofficially, we differentiate Manglish words in writings, e. g. Action = Eksyen, Tackle =Tekel, Terror = Terer. btw, you missed the word Terror/Terer, that is very important Manglish word, it means you are Pro. Like, "You are so terer playing PS4", or "You are so terer playing chess".
Most of these words are actually slang words. For the record, a significant population in Malaysia actually speak and use grammatically-correct English. We just have a way of how we use colloquial English, or we call it "Manglish" (yes it gets mangled up and we love it that way) 😂

At the starting of the video, the first guy said "Neh" when was asked "Do you know that Malaysian speaks English?" I actually say out loud "WTF". I'm a Malaysian, and I'm proud to say that I'm from Malaysia. Malaysia is really a great and wonderful country (I mean the land itself but not the government), but it can't get well-known by other countries idk why. Some people still think that Malaysia is a country that is very poor and backward. I just hope that people get know more about Malaysia. Lengzai is actually Cantonese word When you go to a shop/restaurant (esp Chinese own) in Malaysia, they usually will address you with lengzai/lenglui/boss instead of sir/ma’am
How about 'terror'? It used to describe someone who is great at something. Like, you're great at math and somebody said "bro you're _terror_ at this!". It's the same as "bro you're _great_ at this!"

Actually the stone thing was derived from actually being stoned(high). We just used it to the point that it lost it's meaning, but today however a lot of Malaysians smoke weed so if you say that they'd probably think you think they're high.

就是形容對方看起來很痺的樣子，這裡的痺不是累，是指肢體動作不協調或面部表情僵硬，我們就會說“你樣子好痺啊！”或者說“你看起來stoned stoned的。”
補充一下，非常瞌睡的狀態也可以說stoned，是指很想睡覺那種狀態，跟累沒有直接關係。

In Kedah, my home state in Malaysia:
Market=Market (not "pasar" as in standard Malay)
Pomen=Repair (from English word 'foreman")
Setan (pronounced 'stunt)=Jumping from a high place (from English word 'stunt')
Mentoka=Car (from english word 'motorcar')
Santaribot=Government utility office (from Englihs word 'sanitary board)
Panpe=Carnival (from English word 'funfair)
Terai=to try something new (from English word 'try')
Laih=last (from English word 'last)
Kelaih=to choose or pick from (from English word 'class')
Kerek=a description for someone who is a bit crazy (from English word 'cracked')
Koman=to describe something of low quality due to being too common (from English word 'common')
Lengzai is actually Cantonese word
When you go to a shop/restaurant (esp Chinese own) in Malaysia, they usually will address you with lengzai/lenglui/boss instead of sir/ma’am
Sometimes lengzai use on some handsome boy on the street when some auntie meet them
bojio is hokkien
another word using by malaysian is " gostan " mean “reverse” (by a vehicle)

How about 'terror'? It used to describe someone who is great at something. Like, you're great at math and somebody said "bro you're _terror_ at this!". It's the same as "bro you're _great_ at this!"

Just found your chanel. Great stuff. I have to edit it a bit to share with my 5th graders. Maybe you can make some G rated versions :) It teaches some great skills about figuring out word meaning. We also just read a book set in Malaysia, so we learned a few new sayings as well.
Ack, but now I realized these come from the Chinese Dialect. I've been to Malaysia, and my friends who lived there taught me a few words. I didn't hear any.
We malaysian use english everyday lah.. maybe on some sentences like alright (orait) otw and more

Actually we switch between different mode of English depending on who we are talking to. Only between Malaysian would speak using those word.

Actually the stone thing was derived from actually being stoned(high). We just used it to the point that it lost it's meaning, but today however a lot of Malaysians smoke weed so if you say that they'd probably think you think they're high.

It's just slang.. most of malaysian people can talk and understand english very well 🤗 we learn english since pre school ..
I didn't know that most of our English slang that doesn't exist in pure English
Thats why we call it as malaysian english

And one more thing, Malaysian English is a blend of everything. There is no pure UK or US English over here. We use both of them at will. We even evolve them to suit our local needs. We say trousers, pants, or any synonyms to make people understand us.
