- My last normal proud mode video since I already uploaded the final boss. I have a few more story things to upload and then I'm going to do Disney bosses on level 1. I feel like I should've reset their HP each phase since it was a joke doing all phases in a row. I did do most damage in phase 1 though.

Xemnas: Feeling pain and loneliness. Regretting taking his allies for granted and believing a heart brings nothing but pain, but also admitting it must take incredible strength to fight through that pain and live as a human.
Ansem: Complimenting Riku overpowering Darkness itself. A goodbye as he tells him to seek further, essentially passing the title of "Seeker of Darkness" to him.
Young Xehanort: Angry teenager who just says they're gonna die.
I guess losing your heart makes you more mature...
Then again, he DID sincerely apologize. As an old man, MANY decades later into his own timeline. That tiny detail is brilliant imo

I personally feel the opposite. It feels too much like Nomura was trying to erase everything bad these characters did and go with the I'm not really the bad guy trope on nearly every single organization member and it gets kind of cheap after a while. Especially since it was Xehanort's future self who sent his heartless back in the first place causing all these events to happen thereby causing Y. Xehanort to become the person he is in the present time. In other words, Xehanort is not really the bad guy but his past self is a bad guy who is not going to remember any of this and was only sent here and given his task by his elder self. Something seems to be missing here. How is Y. Xehanort unredeemable but his future self is when his future self is responsible for him being the way here currently is? And why only him? It feels kind of odd considering the other 12 yes 12 members all get the I'm not really the bad guy trope but not him (Luxord I don't even know why he is here but he clearly seems like a good guy in his final moments. Marluxia has no memories, therefore, he's bad because of amnesia. Larxene is harsh but really only in it for the ride suggesting she did everything for the kicks not because she's evil. Xigbar because Xehanort was going to give him the keyblade he wanted. Riku-Replica because of possession a.k.a. programming and not really doing it for much else reason. Vanitas because he's already darkness and his purposelessness left him little alternatives. Terra-nort possession. Saix jealousy because Axel can't make up his mind. Xion because himjimina I have no clue but she's not possessed anymore. Xemnas regrets his actions and Ansem admitting his own emotionlessness caused him to stop caring and he really has no reason to keep going. And of course, M. Xehanort who gets a motive that really fits Erqaues but we'll throw it onto him that essentially makes him seem like a better guy than he really is). Now, why is this problem? Well, some of these people could easily have followed the trope but 12? 12?! And the only one that isn't really a semi-redeemable person is the original even though he's only supposed to be this way because he was dragged into the future to fulfill his role in an unquestioning and logical manner. Yeah, something feels wrong to me here but hey if you feel differently that's fine. It's more of a my nitpick/problem/opinion with the keywords being my and opinion. If you disagree, that's cool. I am by no means suggesting any of this is fact just that I see this as more of a problem than a good thing but that's just me.
Friday Lambda Xigbar didn’t get that good guy trope at all, he got the supporting villain trope if anything. He’s not after a keyblade, he knew it would be his anyways, Xigbar is after something much greater that was given to him as a roll to play during the time of fairytales which is when the foretellers and master of masters were around, which is Xigbar’s master because Xigbar is actually Luxu. The foretellers pieces were facing off against Sora so I’m sure it’s safe to say the next game will be Sora vs 5 Foretellers, Luxu, and the Master of Masters.
Oh, I know about his role as a pawn for the master of masters but I don't think that really changes much. Xigbar's motive for why he is in the 2nd keyblade war is still vastly unknown but we do know he wanted his keyblade back. If he knew he was going to get it back regardless, then there's no reason he couldn't just observe the 2nd war and wait for Xehanort to kick the bucket which he essentially does after faking his death. Now then, if we ignore the epilogue for just a moment, and consider his final dialogue after losing to Sora he does fit the requirements for the most common idea concerning the I'm not really the bad guy trope since his motive could arguably be either a lust for power and a desire for the keyblade (evil intentions worthy of a bad guy) or a poor sap that is being baited by Xehanort who probably never had any intentions of giving him the keyblade in the first place (a not really the bad guy idea since he's essentially being baited). Now I admit neither of these interpretations is canon or really useful once the epilogue is considered, however, even with the epilogue in place I would still call him falling into the trope just in another subcategory. The I'm not really the bad guy trope loosely means a character that appears to be a villain turns out to not be a villain typically the main villain in many cases. However, there are subgroups within this trope. Luxord, for example, falls into the I'm actually a fairly good guy who was tricked and or forced into being a bad guy trope. Xigbar though falls into another subgroup which is the I'm not a good guy but I'm not the true bad guy set essentially he appears to be a major villain but is just a puppet or cover guy to overshadow and hide the true villain. This type of trope is also seen in Tales of Vesperia where this trope is used very effectively. In the most general sense, this trope is where Character X appears to be the main villain only for it to be revealed character Y was pulling the strings behind the scene the whole time. It essentially removes the idea that Character X is the bad guy because they have essentially become a pawn in Y's game and are thus in an I'm not a bad guy trope scenario. The key here though I think is that I probably should have clarified the I'm not a bad guy trope doesn't mean the character is now a good guy merely they aren't Thee or one of the major bad guys but have been reduced to a pawn state through manipulation or other means to a new character who is the real bad guy. Does this make them a good guy? No. but are they the bad guy anymore? Debatable in the best case scenarios and often times they become tragic bad guys who became bad guys due to the manipulations of the bigger bad controlling them. Xigbar and the foretellers based on KH Chi fit into this category of the trope (will they stay there? Will the Master of Masters just be another pawn? No clue.) as it appears as though this is all through the manipulation of the Master of Masters rather than Xigbar's own plans. Now whether or not you agree with my way of defining this trope this way is up to you. This is after all my own subjective way of defining the trope and is therefore not necessarily the most accurate way of delineating this idea. However, I figured I should explain what I meant more clearly and also correct a bit on that last comment. Also as for why Y. Xehanort doesn't fit into this second subgroup is well he appears to be a puppet in DDD but practically irredeemable in KH3 vs his future self so it is hard to tell exactly what Nomura was going for in this case since he gave practically every other member some form of redemption. Now do I hate this trope or think it's bad? No. This is honestly a good trope when written effectively but here it isn't really because it feels too much like Nomura is trying to sponge wipe away all their bad deeds and make it seem like no one is wrong despite many of these members doing terrible things. It also doesn't work because in general this trope is used in moderation (1-2 people at max) and not for every single main villain for half of the series which almost cheapens the characters' roles as villains. Not everyone is going to be a villain but not everyone is going to have a clean white motive either but here 10-12 (depending on how you view it) all fall into the oh we're not the bad guy trope it was really this guy the whole time trope which makes it feel like most of them were here in the first place to fill up the space Nomura ended up leaving behind in his usual rushed storytelling way. Once again, this is all my subjective perspective on it and is in no way the definitive answer. You are perfectly in the right to disagree just sharing some of my thoughts that's all.

Tanner Bates when I replay the fight, I try to save him for last since he ends the fight ominously foreshadowing Sora’s “death” at the end of the game. I feel like it’s a really cool, unsettling way to end the fight.
He also had less health in his first DDD phase than Xemnas or Ansem in DDD. Weird but I say he's still harder despite that.

I like this. You did a no damage run while using all of Sora's in game abilities. This is better than the restrictions run. (Yes they are impressive) but most players play using spells and Key blade changes.

In Kh DDD he and Julius where actually my favourite Bosses. His Clock was so dam cool. I also never really had a problem beating him. First try on proud mode.

I did, but tbh, he was heavily nerfed compared to his other fights, probably because this was a 3v3 and not a 1v1

I use elgato game capture hd60 with the highest quality settings available. I trim and process the videos with the game capture hd software as well so it’s mp4. Sometimes I use Sony Vegas to make certain videos, but most of the time it’s just the normal software.
@@WillJV2 Ah, dang! I have the same setup, but I haven't quite figured it all out. I use OBS to record though the HD60 into MP4, and trim the video with Avidemux. I'll try using Elgato's game capture software to trim the video. Or maybe give recording with the Elgato game capture software a shot too. Hopefully I can get it going, the quality you have going here is great! It's most easily apparent in the difference in our Demon Tide videos. Thanks for the input!

I still enjoyed this fight far more than the final boss phases, especially the music. Too bad Young Xehanort was underutilized. I expected a 1 v 1 fight between him and Sora with all that trash talk. The final phase of the final boss was great though.

I don't think it was ever even established that Ansem/Xehanort COULD wield a keyblade. If you think about the previous games outside of BBS, he always used something else.
I was very curious as to how you fought the xehanort's now that I found out how you did it I think in my opinion you should change your RUclips name to Grandmaster will cuz you certainly earn that title

kh3 was the easiest one of them I have ever played, I didnt die and I dont think id ever play 3 again. Right when I was done with 3 I started a fresh critical mode save on kh2.5 just to have fun.
Were you on Proud mode or not? If the answer is yes then yes you are getting better.

Ya know I was disappointed in Ansem's moveset. He should've had his guardian. And if not his guardian then he should've had his double edged Soul Eater and gone Darth Maul on us.

Yeah but that Ansem was from the past. The Terranort we fought is from the present. So by that logic Ansem should have the guardian.

Honestly I find it more impressive you did the whole fight without damage than if you had just reset the phases since you bested the whole entire gauntlet legit whereas if you just did one, died and then did the other it would feel a bit hollow since you can just keep going back and doing that part of the fight again if you mess up.
By the way, how do you shorten your combos down so much like that? Does the circle button make the finisher come out quicker for normal form attacks as well or is that just a result of not having any combo plus' on?

@@hectic8636 agreed, in all the xehanort fanclub fights except part one of Luxord-marluxia-larxene where mickey is stuck in a card, the NPCs can literally do the entire fight for you without you EVER lifting a finger to help them. contrast to previous games where you are struggling to keep your aids alive while the boss is running around comboing you to death and your desperately spamming heal to survive unless your either overleveled or good at the game.
If you attack they'll select a different target. Also its the terranort fight where you can sit back cuz aqua and ven do stupid damage but not the others.
