I feel like I’m sitting down with a good friend, not watching a commercial or a charicature of someone’s life. Just recently I watched one very popular person that I used to really like and she mentioned how sick she was as she’s in full on makeup and perfectly curled hair and filming a cleaning video. I was like...I’m sorry...what? Now it’s just for $$$ and I get it but it’s hard to see those changes in people when money becomes the focus. I am only 14 minutes in but CHEERING & APPLAUDING you on the answer of taking care of you!!! If you don't take care of you mentally, emotionally, physically, socially, & so forth you can't take of your family like you should. I'm happy you are doing so at this stage of your life. I have always put everyone & everything above me. I'm a RN so it's my nature to take care of everyone. Long story short I'm 55 & it's caught up with me. I tell my grown girls take care of yourselves first & then others. That doesn't mean you love your spouse, children, extended family, friends, any less. I applaud you 1000%!!! 😘
I follow a lot of RUclipsrs that every video is sponsored, there are commercials, everything has a coupon code, and I don't see any of that with your videos. Even if you did I would still watch you because I love your content. But I think it's funny how people can be so judgmental and mean when you are not selling or monetizing the way others do. I have watched 100% of your videos since 2012 and I have gone back and watched everything prior to that. Me saying that is to the point of regardless of what you post we will watch and I know I am not alone.
I’m not plant based- in the least. It makes me a little disappointed to hear you say your sharing is coming to an end though. I’ve learned so much about plant based eating thru you and you continue to inspire healthier eating in me. And yes... there are definitely more influencers who are plant based and share that. You are just hands down the most authentic about it being incorporated in the day to day and the struggles/rewards. Thank you for creating content. Well, now I'm 35 minutes in. I would love to see daily vlogs, what you eat in a day & anything else you share. Why anyone would be cruel to you has to mean they are MISERABLE. You are so sweet, smart & sensible.
I got a minivan about 2 years ago and it was by far the best vehicle decision! I love how easy it is for my 5 and 2 year olds to get in by themselves and I love the cargo space options with laying down the third row. Not to mention how easy it is to drive! My husband jokingly calls it a spaceship but it’s the easiest to drive vehicle I’ve ever owned!
Jennifer! I love your plant based/what I ate videos! People are very opinionated about what they eat and what they think others "should eat" but your videos have given me some great ideas in my own transition to a more plant based lifestyle!

I completely agree on choosing yourself! For years I did things I thought others expected and I've realized (even more so after turning 30) that the person who knows what's best for me is me. I work with students who have to do a lot of self-advocating for the first time and I realized one day how I wasn't practicing what I preach every day. It is a complete game changer!
When I’m going through one of my “not so good periods” I struggle with severe anxiety and panic attacks, I watch your old vlogs. Vlogust, vlogtober and firm favorite, vlogmas! From the comments I know I know I’m not the only one. So, when you have one of your rare “oh” moments, remind yourself that there are people out there that find comfort from those vlogs!
I feel you about vlogging. While I don’t have a RUclips channel I think privacy is key . Especially the world we live in . Some many RUclipsrs show so much of their lives without realizing their privacy and children’s privacy can be compromised. But your vlogs are a breath of fresh air !!
My suggestion: turn off comments on videos with sensitive topics. ie: what you eat”videos. I feel you on the vlogging with the kiddos. I have very mixed feelings as well.
I have watched you for (idk) a LONG time. I'm always so delighted when other vloggers/Instagrammers mention you as the reason they started their RUclips channels or just how you have given housewives and women a place in the world to land. So many people mention you. Be proud of your channel and all that you have brought so many women who choose to be moms and housewives or just women in general. We should be proud. I always found you calming to watch, whatever you did in your vlogs (laundry day or running errands and getting your donuts lol) You have a lovely personality that your audience loves. :) It's always around this time of year I start to binge watch all your old seasonal videos, I love them, they're so fun and get me in the mood for the holiday season ahead! In one of Jen's older videos (I don't remember which one) she mentioned she saw Hamilton with Dan and they did not like it. I was really surprised to hear her say that since so many people have loved it. I have never seen it and hope to one day.

After having kids the holidays meant so much more to me. I would decorate to the hills with kid friendly options. My kids are grown now and I've only pulled back slightly. I can only imagine what will happen once I have grandkids.

I first started watching your myhousewifelife channel after I graduated college and was immediately diagnosed with a disease that would make pursuing a career in my chosen field nearly impossible. I had no idea what to do with myself. I was down and so depressed and watching you helped give me purpose and direction (and a VERY organized home!) Your advice about always being true to yourself is probably the best advice anyone can give about anything in life. Thank you! Oh, and you should eat...whatever is right for YOU.

Can you do an organization video on children's things. Maybe the difference between a nursery and a toddler room. How clothes and toys are organized, layout for the room based on different needs and how you've made it flexible as they grow.

I would say as far you not thinking you alone are exciting enough for solo vlogs, for me, you are a calming presence. I watch your old vlogs to unwind, to help with anxiety, similar to how others watch ASMR videos. Something about the routine, your personality, etc. That being said, I’m not one to beg you to do something you may not feel comfortable with anymore. ❤️
We love our mini van! We have two kiddos 20 months apart and it just makes it so so easy! The auto sliding doors are game changers!!!!!! I can’t imagine going back!!!!! School drop offs my kids are like paratroopers! 😆

I understand being introverted. I'm somewhere between an INFP and INFJ and need alone time to recharge. My sister is the only living person who doesn't drain my energy. Everyone else including Lee and our son Daniel drains my energy. Fortunately I'm not very popular. Only my mother, sister, and Dad (Lee's) regularly call and we rarely have visitors. Our deceased younger son Thomas is the only other person who didn't drain my energy. I get plenty of alone time at home since Daniel goes to school and Lee usually stays on the other side of the house. I didn't get enough alone time when we visited my relatives in the Philippines as someone was always with me because they thought I'd be lonely so at least one person was always with me there. I really miss the food though and the fact it's less humid there. Loving the cooler temperatures we've been having late and night and early in the morning. Hopefully Fall is cool as usual and our Winter is mild as it's been the past couple of year. I purged some of my clothing I usually wear then. Some people are very opinionated or childish and want others to be just like them. Also some people treat personal preferences like they are convictions. I've been picked on all my life for having pale skin, wavy hair, and for my style. I love pale skin and I especially love my wavy hair. My mother, brother, and sister all have straight hair. My mother and sister have hour glass figures and look good in everything. Even my brother has a smaller waist than I do. I have a V shape with a proportionally large bust and proportionally short legs so I have a difficult to fit figure. Most pants slip off of me when I move. Also my style is Simple, Minimalist, and somewhat Bohemian which isn't a popular style. I mostly wear fit and flare dresses. I need to get some long skirts. I tend to prefer the peasant and belly dancing styles. I prefer solid color or geometric prints. The world would be a boring place if everyone was the same. My sister is my best friend and in many ways we're polar opposites. She's dramatic and I'm calm. She's an Atheist and I'm a Christian. She's Asexual (someone who isn't interested in sex) and I have a high sex drive. She is fashion conscious and I'm not. I need to put myself first as I can't fill up other people if I'm running on empty.
I kind of am afraid you started overstressing about other people opinion. You are on RUclips. People will be upset about the way you sit on your chair or talk or move your lips. So what now lets not do that in videos? You can not make people NOT upset..you can only do your best version of you and thats what I see and most of the people who love you when we watch your videos. Do what you feel and desire to do... And heck yeah i would watch only you in vlogs!!! :) Because i started watcing you 9 years ago and think you are so strong and great! Kisses from Croatia 😘
I did that!! I had my dream car, 2018 Yukon Denali. Loved it. But my SIL got a Chrysler Pacifica & I loved it, so I decided the same thing! Traded that sucker in! No regrets. Much cheaper & bigger! My kids love it too.
Pretty Neat Living there’s nothing like a minivan when you have babies/young children. You will certainly not regret it for the three years of your lease .. and I bet you will lease another one for another three years after that!
I've been a subscriber of yours for around 7 years now! I found your channel when searching for Disney vlogs and then I went back and watched from the very beginning. I was home all day with a baby and toddler at the time so watching your videos was my me time. Now my kids are in elementary school and you have the little ones at home! You inspired me to create my own youtube channel which has very little subscribers, but I like making the videos and sharing and that's really what it's all about! Oh my, did this speak to me. I have noticed that the happier I make myself (by doing projects I enjoy, etc.), the happier my husband is. If I try to find ways to make my husband happy, I struggle to think of ways to do it, and then he struggles to properly respond to the things I have done. Why am I doing this to both of us? We can make ourselves happy, and then meet happily in the middle. :)
I do feel you on “work on being you” first. I’ve always been a different version of myself to suit whoever and whatever situation I’m in. I’ve become a very good actor but it’s exhausting! I’m really trying to just be me all the time but I actually don’t really know how. I’m glad to hear I’m not alone in this. Thank you❤️
We have been on a very similar journey as far as becoming plant-based and choosing yourself first. I feel society in general looks down on moms doing things for themselves. This is something that isn't shared enough here on YT. Thank you for being brave enough to talk about choosing yourself first cause how on earth can we be expected to care for others if we aren't taking care of ourselves, both physically and mentally.

So happy you’re back! I discovered your channel during your month off (totally get that!) and have been hooked since and eagerly awaiting new content. I’ve been a pescetarian for about 5 years now and am trying to transition to a more plant based diet, particularly with cutting out dairy because I feel better without it. I’ve found your plant based videos to be so inspiring and have gotten many great ideas for meals and snacks from them. So, I would love to see more on that, but I understand if you’d rather not. I think when you are a kind and empathetic person, it is difficult to shrug off judgmental and angry comments from others, no matter how strong of a person you are. Keep up the great content, Ive been enjoying everything you’ve put out and don’t think anything could ever be boring!

Omg!! My Honda Odyssey ‘07 is Amazing!! I have 3 girls! And I don’t have to worry about them slamming doors 🙄 or hitting someone’s car with my door 😆!! They’re not even allowed to touch the sliding doors, lol 😆!! I control them🙌🏾. And the kiddos are far enough away from me so that they can’t touch my shoulders 😆. And we have tv for long road trips🥰. And I have a mommy sun roof and leather seats that heat up! And my Amazing hubby hooked up my music, so I can play everything on my phone🙌🏾. Clearly I’m in love!! Best vehicle decision ever!! Always enjoy your videos! My favourite videos are always the decorating, baking, organizing, party prep, day in the life....and it would seem the list goes on! Just proves that you have quite an assortment of material. In no way do I find you a boring person, quite the opposite, and I just love seeing you do what you do in a normal day. Of course it is always a treat when you include Don and the kids but I certainly understand why you don't always feel comfortable doing that. It really was a unique video when you shared your party prep and then wound it up with a few minutes of family and friends enjoying the event. I really don't read many comments but in the past some of the comments that I did read were just plain mean and awful. I test drove a Pacifica and was very impressed. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting one but have such a hard time parting with my BMW X5. It too was my dream car when we got it 5 years ago. Love hearing that you enjoy the minivan too. I’ll probably trade my suv next year.

I have a Honda Odyssey EX-L and I've had one since my kids were little (they're now 13 and 11). I loved it because it had child locks and my mischievous son would try to open the doors and can't. Now that they are older I've turned it off.

After having kids the holidays meant so much more to me. I would decorate to the hills with kid friendly options. My kids are grown now and I've only pulled back slightly. I can only imagine what will happen once I have grandkids.

I first started watching your myhousewifelife channel after I graduated college and was immediately diagnosed with a disease that would make pursuing a career in my chosen field nearly impossible. I had no idea what to do with myself. I was down and so depressed and watching you helped give me purpose and direction (and a VERY organized home!) Your advice about always being true to yourself is probably the best advice anyone can give about anything in life. Thank you! Oh, and you should eat...whatever is right for YOU.

I would say as far you not thinking you alone are exciting enough for solo vlogs, for me, you are a calming presence. I watch your old vlogs to unwind, to help with anxiety, similar to how others watch ASMR videos. Something about the routine, your personality, etc. That being said, I’m not one to beg you to do something you may not feel comfortable with anymore. ❤️
We love our mini van! We have two kiddos 20 months apart and it just makes it so so easy! The auto sliding doors are game changers!!!!!! I can’t imagine going back!!!!! School drop offs my kids are like paratroopers! 😆
Oh and my minivans name is “sexy back”. Cuz this mama is making a minivan sexy! Bringing it back baby! Haha

I understand being introverted. I'm somewhere between an INFP and INFJ and need alone time to recharge. My sister is the only living person who doesn't drain my energy. Everyone else including Lee and our son Daniel drains my energy. Fortunately I'm not very popular. Only my mother, sister, and Dad (Lee's) regularly call and we rarely have visitors. Our deceased younger son Thomas is the only other person who didn't drain my energy. I get plenty of alone time at home since Daniel goes to school and Lee usually stays on the other side of the house. I didn't get enough alone time when we visited my relatives in the Philippines as someone was always with me because they thought I'd be lonely so at least one person was always with me there. I really miss the food though and the fact it's less humid there. Loving the cooler temperatures we've been having late and night and early in the morning. Hopefully Fall is cool as usual and our Winter is mild as it's been the past couple of year. I purged some of my clothing I usually wear then. Some people are very opinionated or childish and want others to be just like them. Also some people treat personal preferences like they are convictions. I've been picked on all my life for having pale skin, wavy hair, and for my style. I love pale skin and I especially love my wavy hair. My mother, brother, and sister all have straight hair. My mother and sister have hour glass figures and look good in everything. Even my brother has a smaller waist than I do. I have a V shape with a proportionally large bust and proportionally short legs so I have a difficult to fit figure. Most pants slip off of me when I move. Also my style is Simple, Minimalist, and somewhat Bohemian which isn't a popular style. I mostly wear fit and flare dresses. I need to get some long skirts. I tend to prefer the peasant and belly dancing styles. I prefer solid color or geometric prints. The world would be a boring place if everyone was the same. My sister is my best friend and in many ways we're polar opposites. She's dramatic and I'm calm. She's an Atheist and I'm a Christian. She's Asexual (someone who isn't interested in sex) and I have a high sex drive. She is fashion conscious and I'm not. I need to put myself first as I can't fill up other people if I'm running on empty.
I kind of am afraid you started overstressing about other people opinion. You are on RUclips. People will be upset about the way you sit on your chair or talk or move your lips. So what now lets not do that in videos? You can not make people NOT upset..you can only do your best version of you and thats what I see and most of the people who love you when we watch your videos. Do what you feel and desire to do... And heck yeah i would watch only you in vlogs!!! :) Because i started watcing you 9 years ago and think you are so strong and great! Kisses from Croatia 😘

I did that!! I had my dream car, 2018 Yukon Denali. Loved it. But my SIL got a Chrysler Pacifica & I loved it, so I decided the same thing! Traded that sucker in! No regrets. Much cheaper & bigger! My kids love it too.

I've been a subscriber of yours for around 7 years now! I found your channel when searching for Disney vlogs and then I went back and watched from the very beginning. I was home all day with a baby and toddler at the time so watching your videos was my me time. Now my kids are in elementary school and you have the little ones at home! You inspired me to create my own youtube channel which has very little subscribers, but I like making the videos and sharing and that's really what it's all about! Thanks for making so many great videos over the years and welcome to the mini van club!
Oh my, did this speak to me. I have noticed that the happier I make myself (by doing projects I enjoy, etc.), the happier my husband is. If I try to find ways to make my husband happy, I struggle to think of ways to do it, and then he struggles to properly respond to the things I have done. Why am I doing this to both of us? We can make ourselves happy, and then meet happily in the middle. :)
I do feel you on “work on being you” first. I’ve always been a different version of myself to suit whoever and whatever situation I’m in. I’ve become a very good actor but it’s exhausting! I’m really trying to just be me all the time but I actually don’t really know how. I’m glad to hear I’m not alone in this. Thank you❤️

We have been on a very similar journey as far as becoming plant-based and choosing yourself first. I feel society in general looks down on moms doing things for themselves. This is something that isn't shared enough here on YT. Thank you for being brave enough to talk about choosing yourself first cause how on earth can we be expected to care for others if we aren't taking care of ourselves, both physically and mentally.

So happy you’re back! I discovered your channel during your month off (totally get that!) and have been hooked since and eagerly awaiting new content. I’ve been a pescetarian for about 5 years now and am trying to transition to a more plant based diet, particularly with cutting out dairy because I feel better without it. I’ve found your plant based videos to be so inspiring and have gotten many great ideas for meals and snacks from them. So, I would love to see more on that, but I understand if you’d rather not. I think when you are a kind and empathetic person, it is difficult to shrug off judgmental and angry comments from others, no matter how strong of a person you are. Keep up the great content, Ive been enjoying everything you’ve put out and don’t think anything could ever be boring!

Omg!! My Honda Odyssey ‘07 is Amazing!! I have 3 girls! And I don’t have to worry about them slamming doors 🙄 or hitting someone’s car with my door 😆!! They’re not even allowed to touch the sliding doors, lol 😆!! I control them🙌🏾. And the kiddos are far enough away from me so that they can’t touch my shoulders 😆. And we have tv for long road trips🥰. And I have a mommy sun roof and leather seats that heat up! And my Amazing hubby hooked up my music, so I can play everything on my phone🙌🏾. Clearly I’m in love!! Best vehicle decision ever!! Always enjoy your videos! My favourite videos are always the decorating, baking, organizing, party prep, day in the life....and it would seem the list goes on! Just proves that you have quite an assortment of material. In no way do I find you a boring person, quite the opposite, and I just love seeing you do what you do in a normal day. Of course it is always a treat when you include Don and the kids but I certainly understand why you don't always feel comfortable doing that. It really was a unique video when you shared your party prep and then wound it up with a few minutes of family and friends enjoying the event. I really don't read many comments but in the past some of the comments that I did read were just plain mean and awful. It says more about those people than it does about you, but all the same, I am sorry you were subjected to that type of negativity. I test drove a Pacifica and was very impressed. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting one but have such a hard time parting with my BMW X5. It too was my dream car when we got it 5 years ago. Love hearing that you enjoy the minivan too. I’ll probably trade my suv next year.

I would love an update of your plant based journey. I have done this of and on for many years. If you hesitant for sharing what you eat maybe an update on your favorite/most used books and websites along with general things like favorite snacks, pantry staples, recipes you want to try, etc.

I have a Honda Odyssey EX-L and I've had one since my kids were little (they're now 13 and 11). I loved it because it had child locks and my mischievous son would try to open the doors and can't. Now that they are older I've turned it off.
