My first AR was in 7.62x39. I bought the complete upper at a gun show from a shop that I knew nothing about. It has a Faxon barrel, and I knew nothing about them, but I guess they make good barrels. It shoots half inch groups at 300 yards. Ok, not quite, but I was expecting 2" or more at 100 yards with steel ammo, and it was more like three touching, one a half inch, and one about an inch and a quarter. I shoot off the rubber front rest that the range has, and my hand in the back. I would like to see what it does on a led sled. I can barely do better than wolf steel when I shoot hand loaded brass. I have feeding issues with steel. The first round or two just sticks in the magazine and nose dives, but I don't blame the gun. I originally chose the caliber to shoot cheap ammo, but now it's cheaper to reload. That being said, I still enjoy the shit out of shooting the smallest 30 caliber even more that 223.
I have the same ar in 5.56, and just ordered the 7.62. I'm a lefty as well. I'd recommend a 45° ambi safety. As someone relatively new to guns, it made it so much easier to manipulate. I also have a contained stealth recoil spring, from Armaspec. A Lantac Dragon muzzle break, a Geissele trigger, Vortex scope and offset red dot, and a Holosun RAID light. You can go with a streamlight, but Holosun includes the pressure switch, rechargeable battery w/ cable, and all mounting hardware, for under $200. Yes, it was a cheap start with slow upgrades, but I really enjoy it. Good luck!
@@crg61411 I have this in 5.56 as well, I have a review up and also the upgrades I've done if you'd enjoy that. How's that trigger? I want to try one out sometime!
@BerserkersBallistics I've gone through 3 aftermarket triggers. It's good, but honestly, I think I liked the $130 trigger tech from Academy, just as much, if not more. I think the buffer assembly and muzzle break were probably my best investments in the gun, and neither were too expensive. $90 for the captured spring and, I think, $149 for the break.
@crg61411 That's pretty much what I spent on my JP Silent Capture Spring and Strike Industries JCOMP and OPPRESSOR. The trigger is went with is a RAVE 140 by Rise armament. It's pretty good if I say so myself
I built 3! A 16"/10.5"/7.5" No BCA or have anything BCA, I don't trust their quality. All mine run flawlessly, with steel case or brass, duramags or asc. But I did alot of tuning with quality parts. I think if you follow what I did, you can build a dependable Ar47 that runs good. I started by upgrading to enhanced firing pins and extractors. I added enhanced power hammer springs. And only on one I added an adjustable gas block and H1 buffer. But most importantly what helped alot with the tuning to cycle smoothly was that I purchased a Kak buffer configuration kit. This kit is a life safer for any Ar build..
Psa has decent build kits. I never had a milspec trigger of 9lbs. Maybe 6 but a wolf kit that changes drastically. My bca x39 pistol blew up yesterday. That’s two from them that did now
It’s a good gun but you’ll need to replace your ejector for a more durable one. I’ve had to replace the ones that came with mine twice so I ordered a much stronger one. Also get an extended firing pin. But it’s a decent gun.

I do plan on building something similar but idk about an AR47 just yet. I would like to build a 300blk pistol AR for my first build
So excited for the review on the Jakl!
Great video. We forgot to mention that my riffle is capable of shooting steel ammo.

I finally got a trigger pull scale and it came out to about 6-7lbs. It just feels super heavy for some reason
As far as the BCG. I'd think getting a different brand might help?
For sure. If it wasn’t for the side charger I’d only buy psa

My buddy wants to change the whole BCG out. I think it'd be a good idea
good basic review. thanks

Those AR47's are very finicky if not done right! Too many people don't know how to build them or tune them right and end up having issues.
