    Most surplus iron sights from post wars were battle sighted for 300M. SO that SKS shotting high at 100 is not bad ammo. With that being said, the 30-30 lever gun still outshoots any of the groups seen in this test.

    I was able to get 3 rounds touching in a clover pattern at 50 yards in my PWS MK111 and a PA 3x prism. So would be slightly under 1 moa at 100. Will be my new go to load for this caliber

    With the 7.62X39 I believe with irons they tell troops to aim toward the gut in order to get an upper chest hit. Just the way they teach them because of the rounds' trajectory. Food for thought in the future.

    The AKs were not zeroed properly. Also at a 100 yards you use the Belt hold for a center mass shot. Pretty impressive. Thank you for your work. Keep it up.

      Hello! Always awesome to hear from a fellow Maineah. Looks like it might be a little drizzly today, but have a great Sunday. And thanks for popping by and checking out the video. I've heard good things about the .223 black tips, but haven't tried them myself. I'm really liking some of the stuff I've been seeing come out of AAC and PSA.

    Steel cases are agreeable to East Block rifles. I found out that mine only hangs up with brass cases. Do they also make soft points? I use my rifle for hunting and my Bernaul supply has dried up.

    • @TheMaineiacguy
      @TheMaineiacguy  2 месяца назад +1

      The Saber Blades are only the black tip, but by the testing we did,these would make an excellent hunting ground. AAC also makes a full metal jacket. There are some pointed soft points out there , but the prices aren't so good on a lot of them, and you definitely won't find them in any bulk.

    • @TheMaineiacguy

      In all fairness to the ammo, the sight was 0 magnification, the reticle on the EOTEC is 68 inches across at that range, and the finest aiming point is the center dot which is an inch across. And on top of that, this was the camera mans rifle and i had a basic idea of the hold but had never had it out to 100.And that's not taking into account that the rifle was just rested, not in a vice, and my eyes are 44 years old. So basically I'm putting most of the blame on me, not the ammo on this one.Still, with all that, the rifle , ammo,and shooter were able to drop most of those shots rapid succession in a kill zone at 100yds. Which really is what I was testing. I am quite certain if you were to throw those same rounds in a bolt gun topped with a scope and clamped in a vise, they would group much better. But of course, then you wouldn't likely be able to drop rapid rounds on target like with the soda bottles and then follow up with a multiple shot group on a silhouette at a closer range. I was pretty much just wanting to get an honest test all around on these rounds, and overall, I was actually very impressed personally. Thanks for the comment and for stopping by and checking our video.
