Just performed maintenance as shown on this and also the 'squeaky noise' video from David at Fitness Technology. I highly encourage everyone who invested in home exercise equipment to follow Dave's recommendations. Methodical and easy to perform to extend the life of your equipment (mine is Sole F63). Ordered lubricants from Fitness Tech and they shipped same day and arrived in 2 days. Thanks Dave.
Hi, do you repair treadmill consoles? I own a proform pro 2000 and the console doesn’t light up. One of my family members has the exact same model and we tried his console in my treadmill and it worked... so that’s why I know for sure that the console is broken. Thanks
I have a sole F 63 every time I press start it tripped the home breaker do you think I should replace the lower board. I’ve done some troubleshooting and I don’t think it’s the motor do you think it’s an upper border lower board
Hello. I have a question regarding the Sole F80 treadmill. Just recently I was running it and it stopped and reset. I hit the start button and it started to countdown from "3" like it usually does but then before it gets to "2" I hear a click and it starts again from the beginning again. Sometimes I hear it want to trip the house breaker but it doesn't. Sometimes it'll just make a slight buzz noise at the breaker box but not trip it, but the treadmill will never start. Any idea what may need replacing? I have looked at your videos but I don't see an example of this issue. No codes come up or anything on the screen besides the routine startup when you put the treadmill key in the slot. I have a feeling it's probably one of the boards but I don't know if it would be the board next to the motor or if there is a circuit board in the display console. Thank you!
Hello Hmmm that is a tough one . I would check the safety key module first . It is what the safety key goes into it is most likely to change the count down process . As far as it seems like it is going to trip the breaker this is almost always the controller or motor test the motor off a drill battery to eliminate it as a source. Next walk test the walk belt ! A lot of times a worn walk belt will over heat the controller and cause the controller to blow. If you want send me your serial number to to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail.com so I can send you links for testing. Dave
Great videos and very helpful. Thank you! My Sole chest strap stopped recording my HR on the F63. I replaced it with another Sole strap. It does not work. Sole tells me the receiver unit on the treadmill is faulty however they cannot explain why a Timex chest strap works fine. I've tried multiple new tested batteries on the straps. Does it make sense to buy a new receiver unit? The palm grips do record and display the HR. And the Timex works too. Secondly, there is a squeak from the rear right of the track. I suspect it might be a bearing going out on the rear roller. Are those replaceable bearings or do I bite the bullet and replace the whole roller assembly?
Hmm odd that the receiver would see one and not the other.but in all honesty it is impossible to say .Two bad straps? That’s hard to say also I think you have no other choice but to change receiver ! On the roller bearings they can be changed out I have a video on that .But no supply yet
@@FitnessTechnologyServices Thanks for a quick response. I suspect 2 bad straps. In fact Sole told me they have seen straps that sit in a warehouse and are DOA at the customer due to battery issues while in the warehouse. Not good. I'll stick with the Timex strap as it serves the purpose. I went deeper into the machine yesterday and found the noise was actually coming from the motor. It was echoing to the back of the machine. Using your vid I vacuumed the motor housing and tried a bit of oil at the point of bearings. At high speed (6-12 mph) the constant squeak goes away but comes back at ~3 mph. Looks like a new motor or an attempt at motor shaft bearings. Thanks again for what you do.
@@rogerpigg8801 you are so welcome. The motor shaft bearings are a hard job. Depends on where you bought it the motor can have a lifetime warranty did not know about straps ! Thanks
Great video i appreciate it. Quick question sir. if my motor has been extremely hot after a workout would the lube help solve that problem? I let it run for 30 mins and the motor was ice cold, ghen got on for 30 mins and the motor was extremely hot.
Well that depends on how the belt feels under bottom. And what type lube The important thing is you should feel a slightly slick deck feel. If it feels dry use the whole tube.
Just purchased the sole F85 from someone I know however the the screen display is showing all the text backwards. Any clue what the issue might be? Tried contacting sole but they are not open on the weekend.
Jason Wang well if the Text is backwards it can only be in the console it self . The lower board only sends current 12 -14 dc to upper board all info is based on upper console response you would need new console or at least new display board ps never hear of display backwards 🤔send me a pic to fitness medics @ g mail . Com thanks Dave
Hi Dave. I have a Sole F85 treadmill and my main display screen flickers all the time and shuts down without showing an error sign. Do I need to replace the screen component? Many thanks
Lisa Harrison If they have one some times it’s only the whole console but before you do check all your connections inside to pc board .You will need to take it apart to replace it any way .Send me the pc board # in pic and unit serial # fitnesspartspro@gmail.com I will see if I can help thanks Dave
@@FitnessTechnologyServices I have the very same problem. The f80 has been so awesome, but for awhile now I started getting a flickering display or it starts off bright and then dims to half that power for most of my run. Lately it has been just stopping suddenly, like a dead stop, display shuts down but the actual power button stays lit indicating it is still getting power. The sudden stop seems to be 10 ish minutes into the session. It's got 175 hours on it but only recently I lubed it. I watched on video where they said no to use too much. Later I saw another video when they emptied the whole tube. I'm sure I probably need to lube it more than I did.
Yeah you have no choice but to replace at least the display board send me your serial number to my office at Fitness Parts Pro@gmail.com I’ll check and see if they have the display for you
I have a sole 80 that turns on butc the belt started to stop moving abruptly while I was working out. Now it will not move at all. The lights come on but I cannot push all of the buttons. Do you have any idea what the issue could be?
Hi Dave, I have a 2011 F63 sole treadmill that has a low speed error code when we hit the start button. I watched your video to bypass system to tricking the treadmill and checking if incline / decline worked. It does work while I manually push the treadmill. Would this be the motor control board bad? And if so do you happen to have the replacement part? Thanks for your help.
Did you use the whole tube? I bought Sole F85 few days back and in the process of learning how to maintain the treadmill. Also how frequently we need the lube the belts? Manual says 90 days or when we see an alert on the display. Thanks!
Binod Kumar If is new just feel under it should be damp then no need to use whole tube ! If not use whole tube then feel under after 10 mins of use . I don’t go by the 90 days or alert . I like feel should always be lightly wet check it once a month lube when it’s dry 👍
I just bought a used F-80 from someone and she said she got it 10 years ago but only used it five times and it's been in storage ever since, it's in outstanding condition, pretty sure it will need some lube if it's been sitting that long.
Hi David I own a F63 which I purchased new 6 years ago. Recently it has started to trip the circuit breaker after running on it for about 10 minutes. Wonder if you've come across a similar issue and how it was repaired? Thank you
Yes Sir very common issue If you can run your treadmill with no one on it .And it runs fine then it is either a low lube issue or belt is worn.I have a lot of videos on testing your belt on my channel fitness technology services or you can email me at Fitnesspartspro@gmail.com .I will send you links
Hey Dave...we’re moving and I need to break down my treadmill so I can carry it downstairs and out of the house. You helped me fix my Sole F63 treadmill in Herndon a few months back. Any suggestions on doing this?
The main thing is to make sure you tie a rope around or the factory strap if you kept it, under the bottom frame that has the 2 little wheels on it and over the top of the deck. This will keep the treadmill from opening up while carrying. Remove console screws and left and right upright. For further assistance you can call 410-286-5566. Hope this helps, Dave.

michelle emanuel That is hard to say was it new if so I would call Sole . If not sounds like speed down signal is not working does the display change when you hit speed down ?
Fitness Technology Services thanks for your reply. The display does change. There are 3places to change the speed and they will all work going up but not down. I know that it needs cleaned so maybe that would help

Hi Dave, I was looking for some guidance on an interesting (I think) problem with my F63. The treadmill ran great and was working well but when I had just cleaned it (some soapy water on the belt applied with a cloth (not wet but moist). All went well and then after drying it off with a towel I ran the deck upto full speed and then full height, it ran like this for a minute or so and then it stopped. Now it will start and then stop after a second. As I'm based in the UK I have created a video of the problem if you have a minute to have a look and give me some guidance on what part(s) I many need to fix it. Hope you are well and thanks in advance for any help you can offer. ruclips.net/video/oylU32xWCPM/видео.html
Morning, Yes that's weird for sure. I'm not 100% positive on the configuration of your controller. You have the standard transformer mounted on top over your incline motor, this is normal. But you have 2 other transformers/filtering devices down by the controller itself, are they just ac filtering systems, what is the purpose do you know? In general, I can hear your relay clicking in and out. So it is receiving the signal and then dropping immediately out. So either the relay itself is bad or the console is just not sending a pwm signal to the controller after one second. Is there an led on your controller marked pmw? If you can when everything is hooked back up send me a picture of what led's/lights are on. See below sole motor controller troubleshooting video link I have and we will take it from there. ruclips.net/video/oV3lyD7HGTM/видео.html. Also, their is a company on youtube called Boyles Fitness Equipment and they have a video called Sole pin test this will allow you to operate the control board with the console disconnected. They are located in the UK and may be more familiar with your board. Thanks Dave Please help me out and SUBSCRIBE to my channel, if you haven't.

any special considerations if the treadmill is kept in garage? I keep a cover on it when not using it, but its a dusty environment.
The best thing to do is check the deck should be slightly slick
