Yesterday, I hand-fed a wild magpie, in a park. I was so surprised that it ate from my hand. I thought that it would be too scared to do that, but then it did. It was an amazing experience. I want to tame all the wild magpies, so they don't swoop me and fly on my shoulders.

Long ago. In a place far from here. Lived a family who was going through trauma. One night a magpie who was flying in the great summer heatwave passed out from heat stroke. The family took that magpie in to keep it cool, the family then called a bird vet to take care of the magpie. And since that day, that magpie has remembered that family as it life savour. If it wasn't for that family, that magpie wouldn't be around to this day
That family was my family. That magpie was the one we saved from heatstroke. 3 years later and it returned recognising us from the house we live in. Just shows show that not all birds are harmful, when thy need help, they'll ask for it rather than begging.

Yes. Magpies won't attack people who feed them and their chicks. As long as they are fed, they are happy.
Once, I passed a mama magpie and its chicks. I fed them bread and the mum left me alone.

How long did it take for it to actually climb your leg?
