Hello Adom, great video, I was thinking this job on my car would be too much for my skill level but after following your instructions Im almost done. Thanks a lot. Keep making videos.
With my Milwaukee impact wrench, my confidence is sky high with doing anything on my car! Lol! It was a life saver when I just changed my shocks and struts this evening. I’m about to find rear control arms now.
Easy way to get the spring out is to jack up the other side. This will of course compress that other spring, but also lower the side you're working on.
I added these to my 03 GT. It was much tougher to do on the ground and even more so as I was changing my rear end too. Nothing lined up at 1st. Also order new spring cushions as your old ones are worn out.
23:58 You don't need a swivel if you remove the one bolt holding the brake line bracket. Then you can gently move the brake line and have a straight shot to the upper arm frame bolt.
I installed the lower control arms in this set, but I'm having a hard time installing the factory rear sway bar. It looks like there is no room to fit one side. Do they bolt on the inside of the lower control arm brackets or the outside?
I'm having the same problem, he mounts the sway bar on the inside of the control arms. When I try that one side wants to go inside the control arm & the other side wants to go on the outside of the control arm 🤷♂️
Hello! Im literally having the save issue as im saying this😂i found nothing online as they all have the stock control arms so what i did was just install it on the oustide of the control arm i dont think it would make a difference but let me know if you guys figured anything out👌🏻
27:19 Torque down "what you can" when the vehicle is back on the ground. For my low profile 2002, there's no room to do that so I can't torque on the ground.
yessssss!!!! 90s Mustangs will to me always remain the most overlooked underrated Stangs assembled by Ford. Only a very VERY Select few sites exists for these middle aged beasts that deserve more customer select and parts variety! Toast to AM for trying to keep them aging well!
I put the front wheels on ramps then put cinderblocks under the back wheels and lowered the car onto them. Worked well. I was able to tighten everything with clearance. That’s the same way I welded my subframe connectors on in the driveway on my back.
the sway bar mounting hole locations on the new control arms are lower than the stock arms, by default making it lower. I just installed mine yesterday and noticed the same thing.
Just installed mine and now I have a loud humming noise coming from the rear anyone else having that same issue?? Will be switching back to the stock ones to see if it goes away
No .. if a half inch shorty ratchet can do it but impact cannot do it then you need a better impact gun or dont be a dumb ass and use a long extension and a swivel on your impact gun.. This guy is not a mechanic hes simply working harder then he needs to be. notice they skip through all the steps hes struggling on... Bet the cameraman is calling him a dumb ass in between takes and telling him what to do :)
@@Jonwayne83 it appears that several companies are selling the same item under different brands. I removed powder coating on the uppers and showed them to my retired welder neighbor. The welds on the uppers do not even penetrate the box area. He welded the seams on the inside and I welded washers on the outside holes to prevent elongation in the holes.
Why not just disconnect the lower control arm bolt with a jack under it and lower it slowly so the spring comes out? No need to remove shock bolts and all that extra crap?
@shaolin Justice lmfao! Thankfully I got a florida car so no rust 😂 came right out with a couple of taps. And I'm sorry for your troubles, rusty bolts are NEVER a good time lol
@shaolin Justice oh and yeah I've learned the hard way, that these tutorials make it look so easy until you actually do the job yourself and THEN look at the tutorial again. You'll then notice all the video cuts and edits on the FML parts of the repair 😂
@shaolin Justice LOL that's exactly what I did, I said fuck it to them uppers 🤣 when they go they go... THEN I'll change em. They still got some miles left in them I'm sure 😅
I bought these and I had to return them twice. One of the front control arm is bent. Sent that set back. Got another set. Same issue but worse. These are junk.
Cheap crap .. you get what you pay for. Better off to box in the factory arms for FREE and place quality poly bushings in them instead you spend less and end up with more... these crappy things come with crappy bushings
Lol, well no doubt, 8x the price, welder and lift required and about 5x more complicated to install. This is just a better than oe solution for the same price as stock and if its an occasional driver, not a daily, should last you quite some time.

God, having a lift makes things so much better.
It definitely makes filming for you guys a lot easier, too! Thanks for watching! -Zach
shaolin Justice I had the same issue man, it’s NOT fun at all
Yeah, having a lift feels like cheating.
Especially when you have a lowered car lol
Chrome swivel and a impact. Nice...
This is the set up we are putting on our 2000 #NewEdge #Mustang next. We e replaced everything else lol
Excellent. Very thorough install and tutorial
You had safety glasses on the table and told us all to use them yet you didn't even use them yourself lol. Good job.
Ikr 😂🤣😂🤣
He said its recommended lol not you have too

How are the bushings holding up?
Great video, Thanks for sharing 👋

"Be sure to have the upper spring isolator lined up with the tail of the spring"
Proceeds to not line it up when putting it in.
Cool video but what happened at 5:39 to 5:43? Somebody fall asleep at their editing chair lol?
You get what you paid for... SR bushings deteriorate very quickly. Mine were done after 2 years.
Yep. Mine are about 5 years old and they are junk. I just ordered some UPRs. Should've went with higher quality from the start
My gt has some extra rear struts and I can’t find the replacement or an upgrade for them at all any help would be great
Why not do the differential bushings while back there?
Because this install and review was just for this control arm kit, that's all. 😁 -Zach
The upper coil insulator was installed but did it make noise without the lower coil insulator

I'll probably move the stands to the lower arms which should be equivalent.
Using a C clamp helps very nicely too😅 13:36
Just did my arm's but I have a v6 and it doesn't have a sway bar or dampers. I guess I'll add one when I v8 swap
Keep more videos for the 94-04 Mustangs coming and less Eurostang videos.

I feel like the stock sway bar sits way too low once these control arms are installed..
I couldn’t keep it together when he was lubricating the bushings and beating them
hey fellas - how do you recommend torqueing the bolts with the car on the ground? I tried to find an oompa loompa to fit underneath but no luck yet
Jack the axle up until it starts to

@@jamesa6272great idea thx man
Mine come with 4 larger sleevs with bolts what size goes where
This video is great man very helpful the only thing is why not to use a spring compressor to get those suckers out of there I'm not an expert tho
Yeah rear springs ain't like front springs don't have to worry about getting hurt once the rear is down far enough it will fall out!!
5:40 to 5:43 should probably look at that American muscle
Will poly make the rear end noisy?
Poly bushings tend to have a little more NVH compared to rubber bushings, but as long as you keep them greased you should not have any issues. -Zach
@@americanmuscle Thanks Zach I appreciate that. And it makes a noise like it's a wheel bearing I'll have to check it out
When you connect the rear sway bar to the control arms does is sit alot lower? Just did mine and it's really low

You have any problems getting the sway bar to line up inside the control arms?
My uppers didn’t come with the bushing for the axle. Is this how they come or are they just missing?
You gotta buy them separately
What bushings fit in the controls I have them but cant find a bushing g kit that will fit at all
Gloves? Dirty hands make clean money
Just installed mine and now I have a loud humming noise coming from the rear anyone else having that same issue?? Will be switching back to the stock ones to see if it goes away
Fucking joke
It’s probably noise from the diff these bushings probably don’t isolate noise vibration that good compared to stock
If a 1/2 ratchet can break a bolt loose but your impact can’t, you need a new impact buddy

These are hot garbage. The bushing wore out in 300 miles of basic use. I swapped over to bmr and haven't had a problem since.
I bought these, the driver side broke at the weld, bought bmr to replace it. Much better quality.

do they make rubber bushings anymore?
Now a follow up video on how the damn sway bar fits with these. These don’t seem to line up worth a damn.
